Flowerbomb Rose Explosion

I owed a second review to flower bomb rose explosion. I looove it during first hours.to my nose it's rose+flowerbomb gene+a very subtle and nice oud note.it's gorgeous,seductive,voluptuous,luscious.one of the best perfumes I have.it's so sexy and at the same time classy that could be among my top tens.sweet also mature and rich But after 2,3 hours it dries down to a combination of olive,heavy oud and very faint whisper of it's former beauty and to be honest,this olive,oud combo is simply unpleasant.it's heavy,sharp,oily and very bitter and unfortunately it's not a skin scent by then.this bad smell well projects! My skin chemistry often mixes very well with most perfumes,that's why I never have such a concern and I'm always open to blindbuys.in this case I was lucky to find out it's a skin chemistry problem so last night I didn't apply it on my skin at all.just on my clothes and scarf and I had that lovely warm,sweet rose,sugared saffron tea,subtle oud combo for longer time I'm glad that I can use and enjoy my rose explosion and however I prefer applying my perfumes on skin,I can get along with using this one just on clothes.longevity and sillage are amazing and it can make a great winter night perfume I wish they produce another flanker,without that horrible olive note(I even hate eating Olive)maybe with more vanilla and a dash of benzoin,like flowerbomb extreme to ground sharpnesses of flowerbomb gene.wish they made flankers like this one and extreme instead of dozens of summary flowerbombs,I'd also love to see a flowerbomb poudre ;) Edit: Oh no.I can't use this on my clothes either! It's drydown doesn't occur on clothes as soon as on skin,but it's finally there and I can't get rid of it until I change and wash my clothes Unfortunately I can't get along with this one and I'm very sad It looks great near original flowerbomb and extreme on my vanity.I want it's bottle but I can't tolerate wasting 100mil of a perfume I highly recommend you not to decide on it without waiting for it's drydown.It's easy to love in it's first and even second hour of application but after that,it's specifically for oud lovers

Sadly a limited addition so get it while it's there And no , it's unrelated to the original, completely unrelated. Just when you think you are bored of flowerbomb this one comes along in my local Hudson Bay. All I have to say is ! AMAZING ! A head turner , an explosion of class and individuality ! ,,, for people that don't know niche , this is out of the world. The girls in the mall are going bonkers over this, saying they have never smelled anything like this in their entire life , it's pure class, expensive , like gold from a bottle , like aged wine ,,,, Well , myself being very familiar with niche , and with oud for that matter , and the whole safron combo,,, I wasn't THAT shocked as the so called "mainstream crowed " ,,,, but let me tell you ,,,, after years of wearing niche and owning an abundance of perfumes and different kinds of rose ouds , Kilian, Armani , rose attar , you name it ,,,,this , rose explosion , still makes me think..". wow ! " My family and loves it , my kids complimented me and a stranger in the store stopped me ,,,,, it's indeed special , unique and a true BOMB !!!! Does it relate to flowerbomb ? Well not really, if at all , none or a few same notes are present here , It's an entirely different perfume in my opinion , it's very oudy and rosy with a lot of safron !!In fact only patchouli and rose is what the regular Flowerbomb and this one share and that as we know is pretty much nothing as lots of perfumes have those two notes in common !! Again this has no Relation to Flowerbomb as far as smell goes. So you may love one and not the other. Anyways , this now , being so damn special makes me want the whole line again. Exquisite stuff !!!! Truly !!!! Update , Every time I wear this my husband comments on it how great I smell !

I'm a flowerbomb lover,a rose lover and an oud hater.but recently I'm starting to like oud in sweet perfumes.after trying and loving lancome oud bouquet(a gourmand rosey oud)I started to dream about flower bomb rose explosion it was risky but this makes it even more interesting so I did this blindbuy Unlike other reviewers I find it similar to original flowerbomb.it's opening and middle notes has a prominent flowerbomb gene(which is just like a cup of sugared tea for me)but there's a rose note blended with it..so it's just a rosey flowerbomb during first hour.there's just a hint of very subtle oud which balances sweetness and makes it more mature and darker but after couple of hours,it dries down to something very different.not that much flowerbombish and veryyy oudy I looove it in it's opening and middle notes but I can't like it's drydown.it's all about oud and just a hint of rosey flowerbomb,not sweet or pleasant anymore.drydown smells so bad on me that I can't believe it's all about oud.there's something oily,animalic and simply horrible(maybe olive!?) It's my first try and I hope this horrible smell is here because of my nose's tiredness or maybe there was other perfum on my skin,I still have high hopes because it's adorable during first hour.it can be one of my top favorites if it doesn't change.a great fall,winter scent and It's looong lasting with great sillage Gonna try it again and I wish that horrible smell doesn't come back

I was surprised when I came across this jaw dropping juice. I must admit that it took me awhile to except that this fragrance was categorized as a women's fragrance. Why should any fragrance be categorized, they should be gender free. Yes, most sweet/vanilla/floral scent are best suited for most women. Most common notes found in mens colognes...a woodsy/spicy/ smokey incense with evergreen notes. I know of many woman who enjoy wearing men's colognes...it appeals to them. I find this juice appealing and amazing. There's a soft/sweet rose blend with barely a hint of oud giving it a perfect balance. Amber with vanilla slowly comes together adding to the rich creamy undertone of the rose and oud. There's a smig of patchouli completing this sexy juice. I don't know if it's my nose meter but I don't pick up any saffron. I find longevity and Silage excellent. Finally, I was really taken by this fragrance that I don't care what anyone thinks. I really enjoy the subtle differences between the different notes as they interact with my body chemistry. It's not too girly girly....10/10

I had this perfume several years ago and missed it dearly after finishing it. So much so that I never forgot about it. I've discovered that Soprano by Sospiro/Xerjoff is similar, but not as strong or long lasting as Rose Explosion. Also, the rose in Soprano doesn't have the bite this one has. So I gave up hope until a few days ago, when I found Rose on a site in my country. It was a tester bottle and the last one they had, so I pounced on it... and I'm so happy right now, for this is sinfully good... A real treasure and, depending on taste, it's better than the OG Flowerbomb. You really must love rose to enjoy this one, for it's quite strong! The rose here has a honeyed, leathery, spicy quality that I find enthralling. Its airy, almost aldehydic aspect is balanced by the vanilla-patchouli mix, giving it a chocolatey vibe. This, IMO, is one of the best Oriental roses I've come across so far. A masterpiece. I wish V&R would bring it back...

I went to my local high-end department store to exchange a Mark Jacobs Daisy Honey gift set someone re-gifted me this X-Mas (turns out it was from 2013!). Anyways, I had decided to buy Replica Garden Walk, I was in a real rose mood. My saleslady informed me there would be a GWP on Friday, so I was going to buy it then. The saleslady gave me a sample of Rose Explosion, so I wasn't leaving empty handed. Just for fun, I sprayed a bit on after my evening shower, and loved it! I had tried Flowerbomb and didn't really like it. But Rose Explosion was AMAZING! Rosy, but dries down to a floral, warm, sensual, sexy smell. It was still on my skin the next morning, and smelled even prettier! I find the Tom Ford and Armani Prive perfumes smell better after a few hours on the skin. I turned down the Replica fragrance (that only lasted a couple hours) and got this instead. I can't stop smelling myself!!!Try this even if you don't like Flowerbomb.

Rose Explosion is beautiful and so dynamic. Normally I'm very picky about rose fragrances because I find a lot of them dry down to a basic soap smell on my skin which I hate because I find that boring. This however is sooo good. The first time I sprayed this on my skin, I went a bit weak in the knees. The oud, saffron and vanilla tantalised and tempted my senses. I bit my bottom lip in anticipation of the Rose note and when it arrived, I was far from disappointed. I let out a little squeal and told the sales girl that I'd take a bottle and that was that. I love to wear this at night, I wore this to a Moroccan restaurant recently and I felt instantly transported. The scent of my fragrance with the scent of the food and the luxurious fabrics that dressed the room provided the best kind of sensory experience. On my skin this is loud, forthcoming and very very happy to be noticed. Definitely not a fragrance for wallflowers.

One word, INTOXICATING!! My HOLY GRAIL, the scent I am known for. An absolute masterpiece with projection that is seriously out of this world. I have smelled nothing I like better in my entire life. This is masterfully blended, a fragrance that I MUST have!!! FBRE is definitely a Unisex fragrance which some say leans more feminine. I disagree. I think this can comfortably be worn by either sex. The Flowerbomb DNA is present in the drydown yet this is Deep, incensy, dark and mysterious. Thick rose (but not sweet), light oud, heavy patchouli, sprinkles of saffron. She projects, she leaves a trail and she stays when you go. This is a huge compliment getter. Sadly, I mistakenly left a 100ml in my car in the summer and it literally disappeared. Discovering the empty bottle that was sprayed 5 times at most was easily one of the saddest moments of my life.

I was so excited to try this and I have been waiting for so long for it to finally arrive in Australia. I saw it today in Myer and excitedly sprayed myself 4-5 times. The sales assistant exclaimed that it smells just the same as the original - oh boy is she wrong! Firstly I have to say - this is STRONG! I was initially hit with a blast of oud and spice and I wasn't sure I was going to like it. Then, after a couple of minutes, the divine aroma of rose & turkish delight began to come through. It's been about 6 hours now since I sprayed and it is still very potent. I am continuously getting delicious wafts of warm vanilla and turkish delight. The sillage is huge and it has lasted really well on my skin. I did walk away without buying, as I wanted to see how it settled on my skin. I can safely say I will be buying this oriental floral delight for sure!

This is a rose bush that blooms at night, a rose with more thorns than leaves. It's been watered with espresso and blackberry brandy, fertilized with spices and tears, and blooms with large, blousy, deep dark wine coloured blossoms. Ombré petals so dark they fade to black. This rose was grown in a walled garden ... Walled for your protection, not that of the rose. Despite all that it's surprisingly sweet and charming. To my completely untrained nose this smells like nothing I've ever encountered before, it's mysterious and rich, deep and sweet, strong and delicate. It's complex. A new rose. Good sillage and great longevity. Spray with caution, this perfume is so rich it left an oily patch on my hand that stayed for 10 minutes until I finally massaged it in. Amazing.

Dear God....this stuff is fan yourself swoon worthy!!! I am a rose oud fanatic. Well, a rose anyway they come fanatic, but this stuff sends me over the moon. I'm not even a Flowerbomb person! But this effects my brain like some sort of crack. I think I even look all wild eyed when I have it on. I can't stop sniffing myself when I wear it and want to go around fanning myself toward everyone going "yeah, right, I know it's awesome isn't it??!" Like a crazy person. I have been buying samples but finally broke down and bought a FB even though I already have enough rose and rose/ouds to fill an Olympic size swimming pool. I don't care, I admit I am an addict and this is one crack vial I could not live without. Dayum! Smells so freaking good!!! Mercy!!

Oh my Lord is this DIVINE! This above any other fragrance on the market! It starts off slightly with that drop dead gorgeous rose scent! But its mixed with the classic Flowerbomb scent. It is not a cold fresh but a spicy rose fresh that again envelopes in the classical victor and Rolf scent. This reminds me of a uptown girl and her mister Bigg on the town! Then slightly the oriental oud keeps warming up on the skin making it more smoldering! This could be worn during the day just with a VERY light hand! For me this is my signature scent now and forever. I gave away my Chanel's! This is perfection pure for me. Thanks for the great views. Blind buy turned me into a huge fan of this!!!

I treated myself to this over Christmas, despite the astronomical price! I have to say that it isn't at all like the original Flowerbomb but it is absolutely divine. I definitely get the Turkish delight aroma in this on first spray but then it settles into a beautiful long lasting rose scent. I think it will be very popular - not so candy sweet as the original, more grown up and a definite treat for the nose! I keep telling myself to only use it sparingly because of the price ... but nevertheless keep spraying it on me even when I am alone in the house, simply because it smells so gorgeous, I can't resist it!

Flowerbomb RE is stunning. The Flowerbomb DNA is lingering but this is its own scent. I recently acquired both Rose Explosion and Lancome Oud Bouquet and I think they are quite similar in that they are both beautiful rose and oud sweet scents. They aren't identical, but they are similar. Rose Explosion has equal parts rose and equal parts oud that are sweetened but not in a cloying way. It is a slight sweetness but makes a major contribution to the WOW factor in the scent. Sillage and longevity are phenomenal and RE is a scent that will get you noticed. RE is certainly a signature worthy scent.

I adore this. I wasn't a huge fan of the original, nice, but not for me. Rose Explosion is a beautiful explosion of roses and oud, and it is such a deep romantic and sexy fragrance. The sillage is incredible and it lasts for aaaages. I will often spray cards when I am out and place the cards in my lingere drawer where they eventually fade. My V&R Rose Explosion is still as strong as ever, scenting my knickers after a week in the drawer. The only thing turning me off is the price... it is a pricey investment, but it is incredible quality and sadly - a limited edition.

I LOVE THIS. The top notes carry the Flowerbomb DNA which is a bummer to me bc to my nose it smells like bug spray. But if you can get past that it smells like a beautiful, powdery rose oud. Sexy and deep. Strong, you don’t need a ton of sprays. If this weren’t out of production I’d buy a backup bottle. Ended up getting Xerjoff Soprano as a backup so I could have a similar scent but save the juice. The rose is more complex in this one than in Soprano. If you come across someone selling theirs or decanting, definitely consider dropping the cash if you like rose ouds.

This is beautiful. I really don't know what adjectives to use for this but I have fell in love once again with a Flowerbomb flanker and this one is for keeps. Rich rose, delicious spicy after tones, and after 12 hours it still is giving off a luscious rose. I am investing in a bottle, this is the rose I'd been looking for since Rose Absolue was discontinued, and they are nothing alike except they are orgasmic for my nose and senses. Bravo Viktor & Rolf, you have a fan for life.

Flowerbomb Rose Explosion is like a lighter and sweeter version of Tresor by Lancome. The rose notes are really light but that gives all the originality of the perfume, the rose is wonderfully mixed with the citrus and vanilla notes. A kind of blend of Tresor and the original Flowerbomb. It is extremly long-lasting, more than 12 hours, and everybody around you can smell it. Flowerbomb Rose Explosion is Flowerbomb's best version, even better than the original fragrance.

In 3 words: Loud, Elegant, Sexy. I first sampled this because I love the original Flowerbomb and at first found it shocking. Bold roses with an opulent oud presence. I didn't know what to think; two hours later I was addicted. It wore down to a warm and sensual (still intense) scent - I had to have it! Best suited for: Warm summer evenings on a city rooftop lounge (ensuring you will be noticed).

Absolutely GORGEOUS! It's the best Flowerbomb by a longshot. The original is nice, but this elevates it in every way. It does remind me of Xerjoff's Soprano, but I actually think this one is better despite the price difference. Certainly lasts longer! This lasts about 8 hours on me, which is more than enough. I think it works well in all seasons and weathers too!

love this. best oriental patchouli rose ever. masterpiece. it's a masterpiece of its own and has nothing to do with LVEB etc. this is non sweet, no praline or chocolate to be found here. just strong realistic rose patchouli with exotic spices like safran and oud. plus it's the strongest and longest perfume i ever experienced yet 😍 best blind buy ever. ❤

I purchased this from Saks for $176 after tax. This smells completely differently from the original. It is a strong fragrance but I only got a hint of oud in the beginning. The dry down is a floral powder that is very mature and lovely. I purchased this because I thought it would be dry like Coach Rose d'Or but this is sweeter but just as lovely.

Fantastic! If you LOVE Oud, this one's for you. It's some STRONG stuff, but I LOVE me some strong. Haha. It dries down to like a caramel oud. Sweet, but not too sweet one bit. It really is a great scent, but I went with their new BonBon today at Saks in Las Vegas. If I win big, I'm definitely going back for this one. It's Oud Heaven. : )

Strong, rich and smooth. Reminds me of bulgarian rose oil and Micaleff's oud scents [they have their agar very sweet and characteristic]. Exeptionally longlasting, with a huge sillage and power - two sprays is more than enough for the day. I'm not a rose fan, but this one is gold ;)

LOVE LOVE LOVE..... I really wish this perfume would come back it’s one of my absolute favourites, I cannot find anything like it. When I wore it always got compliments of how lovely it was. Please V&R bring this back a little better priced would also be appreciated 😀

I don't even have the words to describe this perfume. If you love sweet rose perfumes you have to try this. very strong, lasts all day long but don't overdo this one, it smells much nicer in small amounts! sweet vanilla, musky rose and oud = HEAVEN in a bottle.

Got this yesterday and I love it. The rose is apparent at first, but the oud shows itself reasonably quickly along with the spiciness. It was a very long lasting perfume, which is a major thing for me, as my skin seems to soak in perfume.

Dark, lush and intoxicating ROSE! It is the main character in the composition. It has sweetness, but the olive leaves gives slight bitterness. Very feminine and beautiful creation.

I did not know this was discontinued. I have a 100 mil of this and I was about to put my it in my give away pile. I better hold on to it. The name suits the fragrance.

my BF got me this today and iam so happy with it... it divine and classy, i am going to use this alot in winter and for special occasion.

can't stop loving this scent, it's magical ..

I guess I'll be adding weight to this hype train. Rose Explosion... Really is an explosion, a BOMB! I have a sample and only two small sprays is enough. More than enough. I wouldn't wear it every day, but in the right mood and setting this completely satisfies my deep love for rose and patchouli together. The oud wood doesn't bother me as it normally would. I can appreciate what it adds to this fragrance and take it for what it's worth. This is highly sexy, deep, luxurious rose, amber, incense with an emphasis on rose! It dries down to a cleaner version of itself, somehow getting fresher as it wears on but never turning soapy clean. Even further in the drydown comes a hint of vanilla sweetness. It's a gently spicy, Arabian-style rose explosion almost till the end. The rose smells high quality and sturdy. Although everything is really well blended and it's an interesting take on a FB flanker, you can't get away from that distinct FB DNA which comes through toward the end, tipping me off that this is indeed a designer creation. This is where it loses some of its uniqueness for me, but remains fully beautiful and intoxicating no less. It's a smooth ride and worth the trip.

Okay on MY SKIN this smells like red wine and roses with alot of oud and very woodsy,with green stems on the blast of first spray....after drydown it still smells like red wine and roses yet slightly the oud&woodsy notes tone down,it just becomes loud and sharp...it does not agree with my skin or nose,however i like red roses by jo malone thats because its only roses mainly,on my SKIN lol this perfume is a disaster on me,my hubby agrees. I do love strong perfume,perfume that lasts,this one to put it bluntly just smells rotten then on drydown it still smells rotten then sharp not good!!! So i do like other perfumes by Viktor &Rolf.The bottle looks nice.

It's definitely a bit of a departure from the Flowerbomb - this one kicked the sugar out and brought in a heart of fierce rose and added serious depth with oud and spices. It's unique, deep and sexy. Definitely an autumn/winter scent, but it would be wonderful to spritz on for a summer night dinner near the beach. Rose Explosion smells so exotic and luxurious...like a street market in the heart of Marrakesh. It's a truly gorgeous creation that enchants me! *** sillage: heavy longevity: very long lasting!

IMO it's just similar to the rest of the overly done Middle Eastern rose/oud combo out there with added saffron and vanilla. The saffron note is very prominent on me, the vanilla adds a hint of sweetness and the amber at the dry down makes it powdery. It's strong and smells good but really nothing special when compared with the rest of its kind, I wouldn't run to get an over priced bottle.

I have had one bottle 100ml of this parfum never used or sprayed is limited edition is very rare and I already sold it to someone to really love it so I am happy too.

This is the worst example of rose-chocolate-vanilla-oud. There is no oud, and the rose and vanilla-chocolate accords clash with each other. It’s the wrong type of rose to be used in an oriental, too fresh and not Turkish and Moroccan rose as stated. As another reviewer said, it is very much like LVEB. I’d say it’s the nighttime version. If you haven’t smelled it, don’t have FOMO based on the huge prices on ebay. There are much better ones out there.

Why does saffron always have to go with oud?

This one highlights for me what is the essential problem with the Flowerbomb line. Let's start at the beginning. When I first smelled the original Flowerbomb I thought it was one of the best fragrances in years. Then as time went on I liked it less and less. There are so many fragrances that are like it and I'm just tired of that whole class of scent. I'm even tired of how long it lasts, and I'm surprised to see myself type that. Someone had to basically force me to try this new flanker because I took one look at the bottle and said, forget it. However, I liked it right away. The oud, the roses, the saffron, the pepper and patchouli were, for lack of a better word, zingy. It was new and startling and fresh/spicy. But the longer I wear it the more it evolves into the original Flowerbomb. Flowerbomb reminds me of The Borg on Star Trek. It absorbs everything in its path. You can run away (give it a fresh start with explosions of roses) but eventually you end up with Flowerbomb.

I finally tried this. It was not a good experience for me. I enjoy FB La Vie en Rose and thought possibly I would enjoy Rose Explosion. Unfortunately It smells strongly of the very basic "rose perfume" rose. If you aren't a huge fan of the standard rose used so freely in perfumes than RE has already shot you down. But the musky patchouli wow! And scrub-ability? Forget about it, it only makes the musk patchouli stand out more. I could not get rid of the cloud that has enveloped me for a couple of hours even with occasional scrubbing bouts. Finally it began to at least smell more like basic rose again. I can handle that far better. I own and enjoy both Flowerbomb and FB La Vie en Rose. This one, yikes! Not for me. Definitely a test before you buy.

I had a FB& swamped on this site older account I lost,anyway I'm glad I got rid of this...it was a terrible scent to me...it smelt like sour rotten fruit& 🌹 roses...in a fowl way....upon first spray way to gross,after drydown....at least fore this smelled like old warm soda with roses inside...in a bad way,im sorry...thats just me...I like V&R other perfume....just not this one!¡!

OMG this is super strong scent! I smell it before i even spray it.. If you like strong and loud parfume you might like this one.. Too bad i feel headache every time I'm using it.. I Try to love it but i can't.. Too strong for me liking :( oh btw I'm a blind buyer here.. And quite dissapointed with this one.. So its not a safe scent for every one.. Not for me

Did not work for me and I'm super jealous of those who it did work for. This is very powdery in a weird way, reminded me of baby care products and I can really smell that olive note. Just so weird on my skin damn. I have a sample and keep trying it to see if i change my mind but nope.

I had high expectations for this one in particular until i received it in the mail yesterday, thank God it was only a sample. It's overly powdery, with a faint rose scent, no Oud or oriental flare in it whatsoever!! very dissapointed!

A friend of mine just got this in from Saks online - and even before I opened it, the whole box smelled of oud when I held it in my hands - I'm not sure how the other poster here didn't smell it, because to me it was very present. Not a bad thing - just a strong thing imo. You can imagine with the box smelling so strong, the opening would be a kicker, and it was very strong. The first things that I smelled were the vanilla and woody spice - probably the pink pepper notes and the saffron. It is a very warm almost hot opening - then immediately I think of the radiating heat off the sands of the golden Sahara as the oud begins to present, so uniquely Arabian to me. As the scent begins to dry down I get the florals beginning to blossom - rose and jasmine, but there is still the oud and the spice, which lingers and softens over time. Hours later the oud on me has mostly faded, and what I'm left with is strongly warm and sweetly spicy Flowerbomb - and i can finally see how Rose Explosion is a flanker of the origional. It's a very interesting scent - quite different than the origional flowerbomb, while retaining a ghost of it's older sister; and it is unlike the common fare on the American market - much more pungent than your average floral in my opinion, and in some ways I guess I can see why they are only giving it a limited release in the States. I have a feeling there will be a lot of people to whom it does not appeal. But I think it is a beautiful mysterious scent - I can imagine a great span a desert stretching before me during a pinkish-gold dusk, as the wind whips around me under the wane of the burning sun. As I said - Rose Explosion is STRONG - very strong, at least on me. I sprayed it three times, and it was probably 2 sprays too many. I recommend that you air this scent out a while before you waft into any enclosed spaces - everyone will smell you. In fact if you spray a lot most likely they will smell you long after you've left. It's been hours since I sprayed it and it's still very present - so much so that taking a short car trip to the store left me and my friend a bit sick to the stomach and gave my friend a bit of a headache until we could get into a more open aerated area. Once we both got a bit of cooler fresh air we felt fine again - so use sparingly and with some caution until you know how strong it is on you. The bottle is flashy and would be very noticeable on your dresser, although I think it's fun and quite liked the look of it. Overall I think this is a well blended strong and slightly sweet floral oud. Different from the usual and will definitely get you noticed. For 200$ with tax and shipping I'm not sure if I'll spring for the full 3.4 oz bottle, as I don't think this is one I'd reach for too often - especially in summer (although I know it's meant for a market which rarely sees a break in extreme heat), but I'll probably look for a smaller roller ball from a sample site - especially since I think the roller ball will allow me to better control the amount applied, which would be a big plus for me. This scent is recommended for anyone looking for a strong, scent that is different from your average floral.

Flowerbomb Rose Explosion is a powerful and sensual middle eastern response to this globally popular original fragrance, Flowerbomb. This fragrance was originally produced for the middle eastern market with Viktor and Rolf responding to the request for Oud fragrances. Fortunately, it arrived in Australia and has become one of my staple fragrances. As a young women, I had a drive to capture anything rose fragranced. I love the pure essence of a well grown rose with all its delights. I had tried many rose fragrances and had settled on a few I loved, including Jo Malone Red Rose. However, I was always searching for that Rose that others would notice... something mysterious, sweet and memorable. I smelt this on a friend when she returned from OS adventures. I asked her about this amazing fragrance she was wearing. She told me she had bought it in the middle east and that she couldn’t remember the name of it. The only hint she gave me was that of the Gold grenade shaped bottle. Then started my search for this mysterious rose... Rose Explosion opens with a warmed saffron honeyed rose. This rose is topped with sweet mandarin, creamy yet sharp bergamot (flexing its tart pear undertones), earthy saffron and the sweet, lightly rosy hot spice of pink pepper. This opening is intoxicating to the senses and as sensual as a gentle touch. The opening settles into the warmth of the fragrance like that of a good Turkish Rose Tea taken in a garden of wild creamy jasmine flowers. The Turkish Rose behaves like the fresh bloom of Turkish Roses in the early sunrise. They are spiked with a hint of salty butter from the olive note. The Moroccan rose completes the heart of the fragrance. This is a bold Moroccan rose fragrance, robust in body as if it has been in the sun all day. This is balanced out with the creaminess yet green notes of the Jasmine.
