Spicebomb Extreme

What is all the hate about? Its very clear to me that all the haters of the original voted on this scent before they actually smelled it. There is no sensible explanation for the above ratios on this scent. The only way you don't like this is if it doesn't work with your skin chemistry, your are not into spicey frags or certain notes which are highlighted in this or you simply have bad taste. lol. This scent is in the style of Spicebomb meets Tobacco Vanille. It's beautiful and could easily be an alternative to those TF scents if their price tags turned you off from them. It reminds me so much of a designer version of TV that calling it similar to One Million is an insult to this scent. There's no way one should confuse this with that if you were to smell it on someone. It's Dark...It's Sophisticated...It's Rich...totally the opposite of One Million. It is actually the anti One Million. It may even be far superior to its original scent SpiceBomb which itself is a very good designer fragrance. I personally prefer this over the original because its more masculine, denser and I love the smokey resinous tobacco, vanilla and pepper combination. It almost has an incense vibe to it. Ideally this is a night time scent. I'd wear it during the day as well but this would be best worn at night. As someone mentioned before this could've been called SPICEBOMB NOIR and would've fit perfectly. The word "Extreme" obviously tests better in marketing surveys though. I'd consider this strictly a cool/cold weather scent though it can be worn at nights during the spring as well. So to me its sort of versatile since you could reasonably wear it 3 of 4 seasons. The knocks on this is it's synthetic (but so is every Frag including Niche these days) and isn't versatile- besides being a no go in the summer it better suits a style forward look. If you go casual with it, dont go sloppy and im sure you will get a couple compliments wearing it. Longevity is great also. It last 9+ hours on my skin and really projects during the first 3-4 hours. After that it became less potent but never quite became a skin scent on me until about hour 6-7. It will however linger longer on clothes which is great for me as i like to spray the inside of my tshirts. I just truly think people are not appreciating what a great fragrance this is. One of the best offerings in 2015 by a designer house without question. If Tom Ford put this in bottles, the love rating would be far greater than its likes or dislikes. Or probably not, as some might say he did this already...lol. This scent wowed me and the original didn't. The original is a boy. Felt like I needed to say a few words on this one. I had tried a sample years ago and wasn't thrilled, but that was back when I was pretty close-minded towards sweet fragrances. Since then, I've done an about-face on that attitude and have come to enjoy a lot of sweet scents... This is one of them. I find it to be intoxicating---it's in that prefect zone, for me, of sweetness from the vanilla with enough weight, body and depth from the tobacco and spices to make it feel perfectly balanced and a favorite of mine for cool weather. I don't detect the cumin, but if it's there, it's done tastefully in my bottle. One of the reasons I thought I wouldn't like this was that I purchased Cremo's Spice & Black Vanilla years ago, and I've gotta shoot straight with you---that one sucks. lol. For me, it just doesn't compare. Cremo's offering smells like a cheap imitation and does NOT have the depth and body to balance the sweetness. I get no tobacco (don't even know if it's supposed to have tobacco, but people say it's supposed to be close to Spicebomb Extreme) and on my skin at least, it comes off almost soapy, which just doesn't work with the sweet vanilla. TL;DR - Spicebomb Extreme's hype is justified. Cremo's Spice & Black Vanilla is not an acceptable substitute. (And I'm not a hater of dupes. On the contrary, I have many from Armaf, Lattafa and Afnan that I rate highly.)

Smells like sex in front of a fireplace. Ultra masculine and loud, yet inviting, playful and cozy. Complimentability on this one is really high. The scent opens up with loud, a little bit of synthetic/harsh spice accord and to my nose, I also get some booziness. This is the phase that most people will not enjoy. However, what comes after the opening is purely magical. In my opinion this is the best designer vanilla scent there is. Ever. The tobacco is not earthy or rugged, but rather makes the vanilla even creamier. The dialled back spices and the tobacco accompanies the vanilla beautifully. This is the best drydown in my collection. Just for this drydown it is worth it to have this scent. And now for the biggest heartbreak, I have a batch from 2025 and its performance is nowhere near the previous batches. Although Viktor&Rolf have denied the reformulations on this, it definitely is the case. It becomes a skin scent just after a couple of hours, so overspraying is definitely needed on this one. Good to use this as a daily driver in colder months, as it will never be perceived as nuclear. Still, one of the best date night scents because of how it sits close to the skin and how lovely the dry down is. In intimate situations, this is the king. Even with the current reformulation, I would still recommend this just to experience the magical dry down.

Every winter, after spending hours researching what new luxurious perfumes i will buy this winter, i buy this and wear 80% of the time. I have tobacco vanille, have marly, sauvage elixir and still i pick this over them. Now to the pefume itself, the perfume itself is so well blended, the vanilla is not overbearingly sweet and blends incredibly well with the tobacco , bourbon and cinnamon to give an intoxicating spicy, fruity aroma that delights the senses. I also get a cherry cola cigar (not in a bad way) like a luxurious cigar or a botanical brewed cherry cola undertone. It smells tasty but isn't overbearing unless it you overspray. Not headache inducing, you get whiffs of something luxurious and rich like an expensive bottle, exotic fruit or a tasty expensive dessert. Its amazing value, above mid tier pricing but performs like a luxurious high end perfume. It's definitely a dark sexy scent that would suit a man but still would suit a woman.

I am not the biggest fan of cumin in fragrances even though I really like cooking with it. In perfumery it can often give off the notorious "body odour" smell. This has happened to me before. Luckily the cumin is not super strong in this one. The rest of the scent composition is amazing for the Holidays. It just screams Christmas time due to the classic cinnamon and vanilla combination. The bourbon bote further adds to this giving me flashbacks of sipping an Old Fashioned by the Christmas tree and smelling cookies in the oven. I will admit I mostly bought this fragrance because I know it has mass appeal. Predictably my GF loves this on me. Due to its specificity this fragrance falls into the expert trap, which is why it is not perfect to me. It can really only be worn in December and January. The performance is also not great. It gives me avout 6h with moderate sillage and projection. I guess reformulation really did kill the strength.

might easily be the best drydown in my whole collection. for a fragrance with only 6 notes it is much more complex than you would ever think before trying it. i kind of regretted ordering this before it arrived because of the negative reviews regarding its performance, but now im so glad to have something like this for the winter. the opening on this fragrance is a little weird and off putting, smells something like fresh gasoline until the vanilla tobacco combo kicks in. wow. in terms of how the drydown smells, imagine a luxury cuban cigar dipped in a shot of johnny walker, and some vanilla cooking powder sprinkled on top of it. i dont even care what batch i got nor how much it lasts, if i can get even 5 hours out of this one (i get around 6-7.5 with solid projection) i consider it a successful blind buy. if you can find a pre-2021 batch dont think twice. smell: 9/10 projection:7.5/10 longevity: 7/10 bottle: 9/10

I have an original 2016 bottle and my new 2020 batch arrived today. Having tested them side-by-side I can confirm there is literally no difference between them. Nothing has changed. Projection is the same, longevity is the same. So for the folks that are claiming the newer batches are weaker - stop spreading misinformation - if you don't know what you're talking about, just don't comment. It gets tiresome reading all this nonsense reformulation chat on virtually every fragrance. Sure, reformulations happen. But I can tell you whatever reformulations have happened to Spicebomb Extreme (if any?), they have not changed the scent or the performance at all. EDIT: To go a step further, the formula code on the back of my 2020 box reads B197686/1 - the exact same formula code on the 2016 box. So there you have it, no reformulations have happened to this.

I absolutely love the scent of Spicebomb Extreme. It has this rich cinnamon blast mixed with deep woody notes, and I even pick up a smooth sandalwood-like vibe in the background. The whole fragrance gives me a strong Christmas feeling, warm, cozy, and slightly festive. It also balances spice and sweetness really nicely, which makes it very addictive to smell. I actually blind bought this, and I don’t regret it at all because I’m genuinely in love with the scent profile. The only downside for me is the performance. The longevity isn’t as strong as I expected, it lasts around 3 to 4 hours on clothes, and the projection is also just average, not something that really fills the room. Overall, even with that drawback, the smell itself is amazing to my nose. It’s one of those fragrances I keep going back to just because I enjoy the scent so much.

Spicebomb is an interesting one for me, because I shouldn't like this scent, at least not on paper (meaning reading the notes here on fragrantica). I thought I wasn't a big fan of vanilla - Spicebomb proved me wrong. I also thought I wouldn't like the spice mix bordering on a strong oriental profile - Spicebomb proved me wrong again. The only thing for me to critique is the dry down - it's quite boring, at least on my skin, and the spice, the signature of this fragrance kind of vanishes a lot faster than I'd like. It's still there, don't get me wrong, and it still projects, just not in the profile that I'd prefer. All in all I'd rate this a modern classic and you should get a decant of it, if you're interested. Beautifully blended and crafted, worth the hype it got.

If you have a date night coming up or you're gunning for that big promotion this just might be the fragrance for you.

Reviewing this again, this is one of my favourite fragrances of all time. But I will have to note, for myself and im sure for some others, cinnamon notes respond extremely well on my skin. This is not a vanilla fragrance for me. At all. Spicebomb Extreme starts off very heavily on the cumin or pepper & tobacco, which I am sure can be offputting for some on a tester strip..But it slowly transitions into this beautiful, natural smelling cinnamon bomb on my skin. 90% Delicous Cinnamon and 10% beautiful tobacco. And it lasts a LONG time on my skin. Longevity & Projection is very good, what I have confirmed is, on hour 4 I got into my sisters car and she said I smelt great, like straight cinnamon.

I cannot stress enough how good it is. The fragrance stands for its name quite literally, as it's 100% Spicebomb and 100% Extreme. From the perspective of the smell, it's an exceptionally well-formulated winter fragrance that acts like a beast. If you want powerful presence and attention during cold times that will stay with you for a long time, then this is it. If you are afraid of too powerful fragrances, try it before buying, or look at the OG Spicebomb. Honestly, I liked the OG Spicebomb a little bit more, as it has just a small hint of citrus, which makes the scent more balanced and less clogging. Anyway, this is definitely a top-tier designer fragrance that slaughters the market.

I'm reviewing this after i had the metallic musk. I got my spicebomb extreme way earlier than my metallic musk one, and i finished a 90 ml bottle. I can say im too familiar with this DNA. And I can say DON'T BUY THIS ONE. BUY THE METALIC MUSK one. That is way better and cleaner than this one. And this one lacks versatility. Versatility is key for a enjoyable experience of a fragrance. If it's not like a Top 10 tier fragrance. And this one isn't top tier i guess. But I can say that some of my jackets are smelling like Spicebomb extreme still! If you want to be in all the sights you can buy this, but I'm more of a chill guy. I just want to enjoy my Metallic Musk.

Tobacco and vanilla on the base, +amber, whiskey, labdanum. Makes you imagine a guy in a suit with a cigar in his mouth and a glass of green river bourbon on hand. Cinnamon, cumin and saffron in the middle note lightens the bitterness of the tobacco and adds a wholesome Christmas vibe, but don't fall for it, it is just like a deep-sea anglerfish trap. Opening is pepper seasoning. It makes this fragrance even stronger and more masculine from the start and lingers around all times. Dangerous but furtively seductive. This fragrance is very well done. It is very strong in a concept. Thus, it is not an everyday smell. It needs the right context to work.

I absolutely love the scent. This has been my favorite winter fragrance for a few years now, and is the only thing that makes having cold weather worth it to me. It might not be for everyone, especially if you don't like spicy/peppery fragrances, but these types of scents I prefer over just a straight-up sweet scent for winter. You can actually smell the vanilla, bourbon, and tobacco, unlike something like Jazzclub. Idc what people say, Jazzclub smells like a bottle of rum and nothing else to me. Overall, this is a beautiful scent, with its only downside being that it doesn't last that long for me, but nevertheless, a strong 8.8/10.

I tested this on paper at the store and fell in love with it, for some reason it smelt like a root beer or cream soda to me. Once i tested it on skin I was able to pick up on why they call this spicebomb. Youre immediately hit with a blast of cinnamon and spices and a bit of pepper to to it, there is also a slight fizzyness to it so perhaps thats where the soda smell comes from. As good as the opening is, the real star of the show for me is the drydown, the spice is still there but then you get this smooth vanilla tobacco combo complimented with some booziness. Gives a warm and cozy christmas with the family vibes in a way

Last night I went for a walk in the neighborhood. a guy comes out of his house and gets right on the path about 7 ft in front of me. I'd say about 20 minutes later I pass him. I continue my walk and meet my friends, and we walk back past him. never touching him. probably at a minimum of two feet at all times. I get home and notice that I can still smell spice bomb on me. like pretty strong too. I take a shower and after rubbing all this soap in my hands, I realize it's still there. I wake up the next morning and it is still there. unbelievable. I'm really considering buying a bottle now

WOW. This is what I hoped Stronger With You smelled like. Unfortunately those have a gross synthetic sweetness to them that is easily cloying and headache inducing. THIS. However, is the gourmand fragrance of the century. This smells like a chai latte: Vanilla, Tobacco, Cinnamon, Cardamom, and just a hint of cumin and rum to give it some depth. It is absolutely linear, but it knows what it wants to be and nails it. Absolutely delicious fragrance that smells completely natural. I dont detect anything synthetic at all. LOVE IT!

Ladies and Gents, winter is coming ! Beautiful spicy vanilla fragrance. It really captures that Christmas, snowy, dark but warm and cozy inside ambiance of the winter, with sweet treats and baking pastries. It's a blast of vanilla immediately followed by heavy spices and the dry down is heavenly ! It calms down a bit but the vanilla radiates even more and it's so good I can't even describe how good it feels ! I put it today 1st of October to mark the occasion, winter is coming and I'm gonna be wearing it almost every day :)

I have a newer 2024 batch, so I can only go by that. This is a really pleasant scent ideal for cooler weather that simmers like a slow burning campfire. If this scent was loud and beastmode like some people wanted, then it would be cloying. You'd just be an a-hole walking around with a scent with heavy notes that you probably oversprayed. People would look at you funny. Thankfully, this is a lovely and mature scent that is blended beautifully. I highly recommend it.

Wow, this smells a lot more like the original than i though it would do. But in a totally better way. This one really deserves its Extreme moniker unlike many others... Do not pass this one by, this really is a hidden gem. Niche quality at designer price. Great signature scent for winter; I dont even care if it gets compliments or not this is a love at first sniff with great performance. One of the best in my collection, a perfect 10

bro this is disappointing, I was gifted this by a family member and the fragrance is beautiful, the smell is one of the best tobacco vanilla smells i’ve ever smelt especially for being a designer, but the performance? 3 hours on my skin and I have to go scuba diving through my body to find the scent. 10/10 smell, bad performance but honestly who cares, get a decant and reapply (I think the smell is worth having to do that).

Guys, let me be honest I am a little bit of a spicebomb fanboy, but this just takes the fuckin cake. It's warm, its spicy, its vannila its everything I love in a fragrance, seriously perfect, my #1, I have one problem though, its sometime too sweet, once it gets over 60F its just a touch cloying. This isn't a bind buy guys buy a decant or get some testers not for everyone but I love it seriously.

One of the first fragrances I sampled. Immediately liked it, and the wife absolutely loves it. A wonderful combination of vanilla, tobacco, and cinnamon with a hint of cumin and bourbon whisky. Don't really get much of the saffron note Love wearing this in the colder months. Projection, sillage, and longevity are good. Can confidently recommend this stuff as its just a straight up banger.

This is my absolute favorite. Imagine a concentrated smell of the most delicious, addictive Cinnabon dessert with vanilla and spice. Good fragrance for any season but especially suited for Autumn and Winter. Also, I could detect the wearer before I even saw him because I'd catch this beautiful, strong (but not noxiously strong) scent. He tried to sneak up and surprise me but he couldn't!

The reformulation sucks. It smells good but it barley projects a few inches off my arm. It just became my winter daily driver to a date night scent. What a rip off. Do not by the reformulation. They reformulated it back in 2019. It is so lame that they promote a good product to get a good reputation and then pull the rug out from underneath everybody.

I have a new 2024 batch. For me, this scent projects very strong in the first 15-20 minutes with a wonderful vanilla spicy tobacco scent. After this the scent remains moderate for about 2.5 hours. Sadly with this batch after that time period the scent is very weak and intimate. Overall, great scent, poor projection and longevity 7.8/10

I just ran out of this an I keep running to my hoodie that still has this fragrance on it. It smells like Christmas in a bottle. It's amazing and perfect. This is the proper way to do a spice fragrance. Even the notes I would usually hate, they make them work in this one. It has the perfect amount of everything.

God I love this fragrance, it smells like the aftermath of going on an expensive bender with bourbon and cigars. Expensive, boozy, classy, and masculine. I want to gatekeep this cologne for when I find my husband. Mature, warm, and inviting, it's the type of scent you'd want to fall asleep next to as a woman.

Is it weird that I am a girl but I WANT this for myself? Tried it at a shop and loved it: deep, smoky, herbal, mesmerizing smell. Reminded me of hot black tea as well.Just beautiful. In a way it also reminds me of Tom Ford Noir Extreme, which is also on my wishlist, only the Spicebomb is more affordable!!

Spicebomb cologne smells bold rich and sexy with warm spices and smooth sweetness. It feels luxurious confident and magnetic. The scent lasts for hours earns compliments easily and suits nights out dates parties and special occasions every time with unforgettable charm and strong presence always.

Vanilla bomb from the 1st sniff, then mixes with the tobacco, after half an hour comes the same DNA as the original, Very attractive , lovely and unique perfume,and yes it suits winter indeed, and definitely not for youngesters, I got a 2022 batch with super weak performance. Beware!

Sweet, smokey, with a notable cinnamon warmth, booziness and a very mild B.O.-like scent from the cumin. The spices really balance out that sweetness making it easy to wear if you pull back on the sprays. Very masculine fragrance, and my current favorite spicy fragrance. ✅Excellent

New city, new job, bought this in the first week there, got my girlfriend a couple of days later. Massive compliment getter. If you can pull this off, you'll walk around like mystery and christmas and darkness and power. I get a lot of vanilla, tobacco and saffron from this.

Beautiful and unique winter fragrance, well blended, hard to pick any note except the cinnamon, but it has a intresting spicy freshness to it. Not really a sweet one, that's why I think can be worn it spring as well, on the cool days. 10/10, and the price is more than fair.

This is a sweetish vanilla tobacco perfume. The fragrance is surprisingly refreshing. Rich fragrance with great projection and longevity makes it a clear 9/10. I just deducted 1 because it's slightly less versatile. Blind buy worthy or not? I would say 75% blind buy worthy.

Man I love this stuff. This and infrared edt are winter staples. Beastly projection and lasts forever. Cuts through the cold like nothing. Awesome spicy vanilla and tobacco scent. Always reach for these two when we’re getting heavy snowfalls around Christmas season.

Can we please stop with the reformulation speculation on every fragrance page? One person oversprays and gets olfactory fatigue and all of a sudden a massive projecting fragrance has been reformulated into water and only lasts 10 minutes. It's getting ridiculous...

was given as a gift so can't speak on the price but notes are amazing and longevity is great. i love the warm spice and tobacco smell + manly and comforting. quite strong when you initially spray but mellows out and becomes sultry. a must have in my collection.

I've had SBE for many years. I absolutely love it. Especially love it in the winter. I once went out on a date and she kept coming in for a hug at the end of the date just because of the scent. Tobacco is not super prominent nor harsh, its an equal player.

Finally wore my Spice Bomb yesterday, Literally got complements at every single place I went. From church, to lunch, bowling with the family. This scent defiantly gets attention if that is something your looking for. Cant go wrong with this at all!

spice bomb extreme is a good choice cold weather,the silage i got strong-moderate ,and the projection i got 1/2m,and longevity i got like 5/6 hours and it smell so good like not boozing vanila and the tabaco make the fragrance is warm spicy vanila

I still love this after having my bottle for 6 years now, it’s nuclear and the cinnamons very pronounced and to die for. One thing I don’t like is I get this bo smell from time to time, I think it’s the cumin. Otherwise its a solid solid perfume.

Imagine your sitting at a cozy jazz club, you’re sitting down comfortably, with a spiked warm vanilla eggnog in hand. There is a fellow smoking a cigar over in the corner of the room. It’s very cold outside but you’re in the warmth and coziness.

Cinammon + vanilla + tobacco, as stated. Good combo, tobacco isn't my favorite overall, but it's not overbearing or nauseating here. Lasts for quite a long time - 8hrs later still get whiffs of it after waving my hands around. Only 2 sprays.
