The opening is delicious, sharp, the notes are well defined, and it feels very pleasant. The tonka bean is a base note, but its intense sweetness comes up as soon as the fragrance is applied, it makes the fragrance feel delectable. This sweetness is counterbalanced by the very sharp, citrus, and intense notes of the green mandarin which in this fragrance evocative of combined lime and sweet orange; similarly, the granny smith apple, is a very sharp, sour and intense note. The combination of these initial notes is well done. The spices take a brief moment to come up but they do, they are not as strong as the fruits or tonka but are noticeable. A piquant touch from the red chili pepper leads the way, along with the pepper and other spices that sharpen the fragrance. The sage adds a minty-like accord that supplements well the fruity notes; the cardamom is also noticeable, sweet, minty, spicy, and bitter. The almonds and woody notes are support notes, just something back there for consistency, they make the fragrance slightly dense. The fragrance is relatively linear, other than the spicy notes, all featured notes come up as soon as the fragrance is applied; the spices don’t take long. As the fragrance reaches its dry-down, the initial strong projection takes a small step down to moderate to strong. Aloha fragrance lovers! TLDR; fresh spicy sweet, unique, decent performance, not safe blind buy, apple, pear, woody, Tonka bean notes. This is an instant Spicebomb classic. I first smelt this scent from my Cousin who is a scientologist. At first he gatekept it from me, so I had to go to more drastic measures to acquire it (Don't Ask me what). This fragrance is something truly remarkable and unique, and definitely has a different Scent profile compared to the rest of the Viktor&Rolf Spicebomb line. Although it isn't particularly offensive I wouldn't say this should be used as an everyday scent due to its strong Tonka Bean and woody notes which could offend some people. The freshness and spiciness in this fragrance is radical! To allude to my personal experiences, the spiciness in it reminds me of when I would mouth off, my mother would make me eat Carolina reaper peppers that she got wholesale from my Uncle Gerard who worked on a farm that grew them. The freshness in it reminds me of the day I lost my virginity, come on guys we all know that feeling. From open to close this fragrance goes through a parabolic path with the concave being downwards. The opening was fierce and robust and smelt like a green apple, pear and alcohol combined. The dry down doesn't take long and you start to smell more sweetness to it, as well as some woodiness and even a hint of fresh sage. This fragrance is impeccable throughout its journey from opening to dry down and my nose was left stimulated throughout. Towards the end, my nose detected some notes of clove and geranium which was exciting due to these being more uncommon nowadays. I wouldn't say this cologne is a safe blind buy due to its difference from the other spice bomb's and uniqueness around this scent. The silage in this perfume is great, I measured it with my Kid and it's around 65 CM for you Imperial Measurement Folk, and 25.591 inches for the Americans. The performance on this cologne is really impressive, at night I went for a siesta and I could still smell it without going close to the area I applied it to (again don't ask). I calculated it out and this scent lasts on average 380 - 420 minutes with 10-12 sprays. Comparing this scent to the other spice bombs, this DNA has much better performance as a result of the strong Tonka bean infusion deep within it and the silage is comparable to Viktor&Rolf's SpiceBomb Infrared which I smelt at Macy's. If somebody asked me to compare this scent to an outdoor setting, I would have to say that I am reminded of a moderately warm evening of about 293.15K in the 4th week of April as dawn settles over the horizon into dusk. Now time for the ratings: Overall Scent: 12/10 - this DNA breaks the scale I don't care about mathematical accuracy - from opening to closing I loved it and find most will as well if they have as keen of a nose as me Performance: 9.1/10 - I only had to do around 12 sprays to get over 435 minutes of longevity which is really good - if it was any more I would have had the performance as perfect Sillage: 8.7/10 - 65 cm scent trail - left nice linger when I tested with my kid Blind Buy Value: 6.2/10 - Only blind buy this if you are confident in your taste as a fragrance fanatic, or if you are confident in my nose's ability to perceive odors - Other than that this scent is unique and I say its best you smell it first at your local department store or fragrance shop Final Verdict: This scent is unique, delightful, and masculine. #78 of My Fragrance Journey - Viktor&Rolf Spicebomb Night Vision EDT: Pull the Pin. See What Survives the Light. It doesn’t smell like the original. Not really. And I think that’s intentional. The first Spicebomb was heat. Weight. Cinnamon and tobacco and gravity. It sat on you like armour. Night Vision doesn’t do that. It moves. Faster. Brighter. Like stepping into green light before your eyes adjust. First spray - sharp. Cleaner than I expected. Almost acidic. Green apple, immediately. Granny Smith. Crisp in that mouth-watering way, slightly sour, almost electric. It doesn’t smell sweet so much as alive. There’s green mandarin tangled into it. Grapefruit too, I think. Citrus, but not sunny citrus. Cooler. Sharper. Like neon reflected on glass. It wakes you up. For a second, it feels playful. Careless, even. Then something underneath pulls it back into focus. Cardamom. Quiet, but important. Not loud spice. More like tension. A low hum under the fruit. It stops the freshness from floating away. Gives it a spine. Around twenty minutes in, it pivots. Geranium comes forward. That clean, slightly metallic floral edge. Masculine in that modern way - not aggressive, just composed. Pepper sits underneath it. Dry. Controlled. Sage too. Aromatic. Almost dusty. There’s even a faint chilli-like prickle in the background. Something that keeps shifting between cool and warm. This is the part where it becomes familiar. Comfortable. It has that shower-fresh DNA, yeah. But it doesn’t feel cheap. Or empty. Just... easy. Easy in a way that makes sense. On warm skin - after movement, after existing in your body a bit - it feels better. Less like a product. More like a continuation of you. The drydown is softer. Quieter. Tonka bean starts doing most of the work. Creamy. Woody. Slightly sweet. The sharp green opening is gone by now. What’s left is warmth. Controlled warmth. Close to the skin. I kept looking for the roasted almond note they mention. Honestly... I don’t really find it. Maybe it’s buried. Maybe it’s just creating texture rather than announcing itself. Either way, the tonka carries it. It stops projecting. Starts existing. Performance is solid, but not dramatic. Two hours where it really radiates. After that, it settles in. Stays close. You’ll smell it. Someone close to you will smell it. The room won’t. And that feels right for this kind of scent. Because this isn’t trying to challenge anyone. It’s not trying to reinvent fragrance. It’s trying to be worn. Lived in. Reached for without thinking. And it succeeds. This is what I’d call a dumb reach - and I mean that with respect. Gym. Office. Evening walk. Spring. Summer. I absolutely love this frag on my fiance! When he sprays this My head instantly snaps and I ask "what IS THAT?!" even tho I already know b/c its the only frag I do that with for some reason. The opening is just SO sexy to me! Off the bat I smell the Apple, Grapefruit, with some cardamon & nutmeg. Then a few mins later I get Sage, cardamon, Clove, Geranium & some red chilli pepper. Dry down I mostly picked up Tonka, woody notes, geranium & pepper. I smell it on him for about 6/8hrs and it projects nicely imo, as someone other than the wearer. I can smell it on him from about 3 feet away for the first 2hrs or so, and 1 foot for another 2, and the last 2/4hrs is closer to the skin & can smell while hugging. For the the price & the fact it's an EDT I find it's projection and longevity very acceptable! He had never worn the OG spicebomb when he received this flanker, so he had no expectations out of this frag, except to be good & last a decent amount of time. And it delivered on both. I find the sweet, woody, semi citrus, sweet pepper thing it has going on super sexy, super comforting, & super mass appealing. While it may not be super different or unique, if you have a trained nose you can def smell the differences it has to Eros, Y & invictius. And these differences push this flanker above the aforementioned. Just don't compare it too much to the original SB, And take into consideration that this is an EDT, and I think many could easily enjoy this frag. I rate this a 7.5/10. Very good, nd worth having imo.

This fragrance is why you have to try things for yourself instead of taking the YouTube reviewers opinions. If you listen to them this fragrance is trash and you shouldn’t waste your time. Wrong it’s not trash. It’s not niche snob-head or nothing like that. But it smells very good and will get women’s attention plus you will like the way it smells on you yourself. Yes it’s way different from the other spicebombs a but who said it had to be the same or similar. It’s not bad because it goes a different direction than what people wanted or expected. Me personally I don’t like flankers that smell the same as the original unless the original had performance issues. Spicebomb had no such issues. I love it and will be purchasing a full bottle once the summer cools down in late October. Summer in Texas is maybe a month away from kicking off so I will just wear my sample out. The scent is sweet very sweet but it does have character it has spices but they are smooth spices and not spicy spices if that makes sense. And the smooth spice blends well and sits behind that ultra sweetness giving it a sort of perfect contrast for such a mass appealing fragrance. It’s kind of linear but it does change slightly. I was surprised I liked it so much because all I ever heard about it was hate I was expecting it to be bad. I’m glad I gave it a fair shake

Currently my signature fragrance. Although somewhat reluctantly. It's mega versatile and the easiest dumb-reach I own, as well as being super mass-appealing and inoffensive. I also absolutely love the scent. For all those reasons, it's my signature. However! The performance of this fragrance is very poor, unfortunately. I have to spray this far more heavily than I have to spray most EDTs. I meant to buy the EDP, but I decided it could work in my favor since it was functioning very well as my everyday work fragrance. It still drives me nuts that for a handful of dollars more, I could have gotten what seems to be a far more powerful bottle of juice. That said, the scent itself is still top notch. Bright, juicy, tangy, spicy opening, the middle notes are smooth, chewy candy, bubble gum (I unabashedly love this note) and more spice. The drydown is mellow, warm spicy, and sweet. Love the smell from start to finish. The strength is the main issue. Weak projection, very poor longevity. Like I said, I have to spray this far more than other EDTs, to get the same level of strength for some reason. It's hard to score because I love the scent so much, but the performance is so bad. Scent is 9.5/10. Over all, 7.5/10.

The warm and fresh spiciness is simply irresistible, and I guarantee that many others will feel the same. In fact, I've received numerous compliments while wearing it, extending beyond my wife (although she loves it too). Admittedly, the Spicebomb line is just over that $100 per bottle range when purchased at the full retail price, but it's worth it when considering the remarkable quality the line offers in general. In my humble opinion, any of the Spicebomb flankers are a safe bet, and Night Vision is the perfect example. It's an absolute gem that shouldn't be missed.

I picked up Spicebomb Night Vision EDT as part of a "sample before you buy" kit and opted for the 3 oz bottle. While the price was appealing, what really won me over was the scent itself—a fresh, green fragrance with a deep, resinous finish. Unlike the Infrared version, this one isn’t overly spicy. The note composition is complex—almost too much for my nose to fully dissect—but I can distinctly pick up the bright mandarin top notes, which gradually give way to a rich, almond-like resin. It’s the olfactory equivalent of eating mandarin and grapefruit for breakfast, then climbing a pine tree while sipping coffee and snacking on almonds, all after indulging in a big Christmas feast the night before. I love wearing it in the winter, whether I’m out and about or in the office. It performs beautifully on both skin and fabric, with clothes holding onto the scent even longer. While it’s a bit too heavy for the peak of summer and didn’t work as well as Polo Green for a day on the golf course, it’s still a great option for switching things up occasionally in the warmer months.

Nice Granny Smith sour apple up top, and those fruity peppers kicking right behind it. It says black chilis, but they smell red to me—and delicious. With notes like these, you’d think it was a winter scent. But it’s almost June, the sun is cooking, and this stuff is perfect during the day. This green bottle of juice? It’s like a cross between Invictus and Hugo Boss Magnetic... or maybe a toned-down The Scent Elixir with some Invictus DNA mixed in. At least to my nose, based on what’s in my collection. That opening reminds me a lot of those elixirs: that smooth vanilla... and that sour apple plus chili combo? Heavenly. I’m really enjoying this one. This parfum lover is giving a full stamp of approval to this humble little EDT. Makes me want to sing, “I want my baby back, baby back, baby back...” because those chilis—those fruity peppers 🌶️—are yummy. Paired with that sour apple? Man, this joint should be hyped

I think this should have at least a 4.0 rating. Downside is an immediate sniff after spraying will smack your nose with alcohol and it is does kinda have a shower gel vibe to it is the only negative I can think of but I'm not even sure if that's a negative. This is more of a blue/green sporty fresh shower gel vibe. Its pretty unique but if you already have several of this style I dont think you "need" this one. It maintains that good projection range after the first hour for a little over 3 hours. Then its about arms length projection for another 2/3 hours. This also a year round scent in my opinion, works in 0° - 100° sunny or rainy. Its a work/gym safe as long as you dont overspray, ~2 sprays and make sure you let it settle before engaging with other people.

This gets waaaay to much hate because it's not unique enough for the bigger fragrance influencers and when it didn't review well with most of them the people just followed suit showing how most of the world is full of followers and not individuals with their own opinions or are too scared to voice them. I however like what I like and I have very basic taste I guess cuz I like fragrances like this one A LOT! This is bubblegum sweet with spicy woodiness followed by a little vanilla with sum more spice mixed in. Mass appealing AF imo. To me it's V uomo BIR with spices. So I don't know how this has such a low rating. This stuff Is blind buy worthy easy

Classic, fragcom hates it but women love it. Glad I’ve got a bottle before it’s discontinued. Testament of the times. conglomerates did their market research. Women love it..mostly women under the age of 30(which lest face it, is the demographic most men gravitate to.) The snobs who give it poor marks are displaced and are FAR too long in their supposed frag journey. Enjoy happiness with this one. Don’t take life too seriously. This fragrance has got a lot of invested dollars behind it and it works. Youtubers are not the ones out there REALLY testing it in the field. They’re a figment of their former selves enjoying a HOBBY.

I don’t see the hate that people have with this cologne. Blind bought it and I like it. I wear it day or night. I like the description that “TheThe” gives in the comments below. He’s right about the women. Women love this cologne, I wear this cologne when I’m out and about and it always has women tell me that I smell good or asking what am I wearing. I see some comments that the cologne doesn’t last on some people but we all have different skin. It last up to 7-8 hours on my skin and the sillage is pretty well giving the fact that women and men give compliments when I wear it. Longevity: 8/10 Silage: 8/10

Spicebomb Night Vision EDT is a dead ringer for Invictus in the opening but Night Vision turns spicey and the tonka comes though once it hits the drydown/basenote, whereas Invictus stays fresh the whole way through. It's pretty strong and you get whiffs of it throughput the day which is just what I like. Update - after wearing it for a few weeks I have found it to be very spicy, living up to its namesake and surprisingly strong and long lasting. I find it to be almost a beast mode scent and I typically struggle with longevity, it stays on clothing till the next day and keeps going on my skin for hours.

Seems I'm one of the only people here who likes this, yes it's nothing like the original or extreme, I get a big juicy citrus blast with this one, I think it would be a good spring even summer frag, and is personally unlike any other fragrance in my collection currently... After a few wearings I must say I don't get the azzaro comparison, and haven't had enough experience with ysl y to compare the two but what I do get is good lomgevity and projection and have recieved numerous compliments with one girl even going out and buying it for her other half.. Gotta say I honestly really enjoy this

I’m confused on why so many people dislike this fragrance? I’m guessing because it doesn’t smell like the original. Thought we were rating how good each individual frag smells. This smells soo damn good, coming from a guy who owns all the flankers and the original. Spicebomb extreme doesn’t really smell like the original but people still LOVE it. No need for all the hate this is almost guaranteed compliments every time you wear this! A high quality apple and tonka bean frag plus the cardamom just has a beautiful finishing touch, can’t go wrong people ! Oh and good performance as well

I sampled this the other day in a local department store and compared it side by side to Spicebomb. I have to say that this is a sweeter and smoother version. Spicebomb is in there but it’s toned down by 50%. It’s easier to wear than Spicebomb but if you’re a die hard fan of the original go into this with different expectations and you may actually like it. They marketed and named this scent very poorly. The only thing I would’ve kept was the green bottle. I think it is more crowd pleasing and seems versatile- not just night time! Next time I stop by I’m going to come back for this.

Starts with a bright, tart sweetness; apples and mandarin zest with a touch of sage. Dry down reveals the restrained Spicebomb DNA hidden beneath, bringing black pepper, Tonka bean, and a bit of sweet Marzipan into the mix to create a a nice warming counterpoint. This is a very versatile scent, working in any season except maybe fall, and great for day or night. My only gripe is that the scent doesn't have the best sillage or staying power, so a reapplication may be necessary for a long day or night out. This great flanker is the Yin to Spicebomb Extreme's Yang.

I absolutely love when my bf wears this perfume! Idk what all the bad reviews are about, but to me this semi sweet, herbal, spice draws you in and smells so sexy. I smell this on him for a good 6-8hrs after applying, so maybe some reviewers are going nose blind, easily done with a spicy scent profile. This is perfect for winter, fall & spring. very versital cologne. I can def also see this cologne being dressed up or down. But when he wears this I want to shove my face in his neck. I'll probably always reorder this for him. He likes it very much as well!

I see this gets some hate and I don’t get it. I find this fun and easy going. It can be sharp in the initial spray but lays down very nicely and can work in day or evening. I find it to be sexy and really don’t have anything bad to say. It’s not my top favorite but I really enjoy it when I wear it and get compliments. I am finding that fragrances last very well on me and I haven’t had any problems with performance. I found this when it first came out and still love this just as much. It may not be in the top 5 but it’s definitely in my top 20 out of 125.

I always find myself coming back to this gem. I’ve had it in my rotation for a few months now and although it’s not a powerhouse, it’s such an easy smooth versatile wear with average longevity and sillage. I tried liking the EdP version but I just couldn’t, it’s such a chemical mess. So far this flanker along with the original and dark leather are my favorites of the line. If you are under 25 and looking for a versatile spring/summer/fall scent, I definitely recommend picking this up if you can find it at a decent price.

doesnt deseve the hate it gets and i stand by this, fresh but also spicy scent that dries down to the perfect masculine, sexy and spicy but sweet scent that can be used in summer. i heard people saying it doesnt have any spice but idk what they r talking about, any more spice than this and you cant use it in summer. lasts around 6-8 hours for me and projection is also strong. my top 5 fragrance atm, it smells like a more intricate version of spicebomb extreme adding more sweetness and citrus.

Great scent. Grapefruit, pepper, and sage are what come through most for me. Feel that it's actually more unisex and year-round appropriate than represented in the ratings. My daily work scent because it smells very clean but deep and spicy. For me, I find it hard to find a clean scent that isn't so alcoholy/lemony and a spicy scent that isn't too heavy for daytime work. It walks the line really nicely :)

A nice, deep scent that pulls you in and keeps you there. Juicy produce blend into a peppery sizzle and rest warmly in a log cabin bed. Incredibly sexy. You get a short 30-60 minutes of wide projection before it rests closely next to you like an open secret, where it belongs. I love this scent for fall and winter, but less on myself and more so on the back of my partner's neck.

A great mass appealing apple fragrance. In my opinion you can get away with this fragrance in any season. To my nose the opening is a blast of fresh, spicy apple and in the dry down, the chili pepper and nutmeg notes add some depth and warmth to the fragrance. This will last you the whole day at work/school and will most likely get you complements.

Everyone saying it smells like the old Axe body sprays... You're right. It reminded me immediately of how Axe body spray smelled ~15 years ago. That being said, this smells like a grown man's version of Axe. So, for anyone who secretly misses Axe (I'm one as well), this is for you. I look forward to trying to the EDP version when I get a chance to.

I think people just hate it because it’s different to the other spice bombs. If you take that out of the equitation it’s a solid fragrance performs & lasts a decent amount. If you’re not a huge spice bomb fan who’s going to dislike it because it's nothing like the others then it’s well worth giving it a go. Doesn’t deserve the hate it gets.

I find the EDT version of this fragrance better in smell and longevity on my skin than the EDP I think it is a good night fragrance but can be used in everyday and date settings. This is actually the first fragrance I bought and I have a deep connection to this cologne I would recommend it to beginner collectors.

Very underrated. It is not very spicy or like the other spicebomb fragrances, but that’s the only thing you can really hold against it. It is a green and woody fragrance that smells very pleasant, there is a bit of spiciness but it’s not huge. Overall it is still a great smelling fragrance.

I actually love this as a woman. I recieved it as a surprise sample and im gonna keep it for myself. It reminds me of casablanca but a lighter and fresher version of it. Casablanca was too sweet and heavy but this one is just perfect for me.

I think this gets hate because of fragrance youtubers and because it doesn't smell like the original. I don't think its necessarily a bad thing. I love this scent, perfect for summer nights.

A lot of undeserved hate for this. A great dumb reach for almost any occasion if you just want to smell fresh and put together. Try a sample, you might find yourself surprised.

I love the smell on this one, but I am not sure why people hate it so much. It's versatile and smells excellent. It gets some compliments but doesn't last super long. 8/10

So many fragrance snobs on here saying this is “boring”. This is a compliment beast although the edp version is better in performance I enjoy this one way more.

People hate on this scent WAY too much. Versatile, fresh and somewhat spicy fragrance. Imo it’s great for ppl under 25 who are looking for a less sweet scent.

Very nice smell. Not impressed on how long it lasts, you have to spray more sprays than you shoud for people to smell you. Just get the EDP at this point.

Spicebomb Night Vision EDT is bold, masculine, and slightly playful, the kind of fragrance that feels made for evenings out. The opening is fresh but immediately energetic. The green apple is very noticeable, combined with cardamom and grapefruit. It gives a bright, slightly sweet, slightly sharp first impression. The green mandarin is there, but less dominant on my skin. Very quickly, the spices start to take over. Black pepper, red chili pepper, nutmeg, and clove it becomes warmer and darker. There’s also sage and a soft almond-tonka base that gives it a subtle sweetness underneath the spice. It’s masculine, a bit sexy, and definitely more evening-oriented. Despite the name, I think you can wear this both day and night, especially in spring and autumn. It’s versatile, but it shines best when the temperature drops slightly. Projection is moderate. People within arm’s length will notice you, but it won’t fill an entire room. Longevity on my skin isn’t amazing, which is expected from an Eau de Toilette. It performs decently, but not spectacularly. This leans clearly masculine to me. Women could wear it, but it’s definitely designed with men in mind. Price-wise, it sits in a reasonable range, especially if you find it discounted. At full retail, it’s decent. On sale? Very worth it. And let’s talk about the bottle, the grenade design in dark green is iconic. It’s playful, recognizable, and honestly just fun. Would I buy it again? Possibly. I might explore other versions in the Spicebomb line first. But overall, it’s a solid fragrance. Rating: 8/10

This is an interesting fragrance where I can see the love and hate for it. The fragrance in and of itself is actually good. It has good performance for a fresh fragrance, smells good, versatile for all year except hot summer days, and would probably get compliments. So why the hate? 1. Poor Marketing - Being titled Spicebomb, it smells nothing like the original Spicebombs, and that caught everybody off guard. Furthermore, with V&R being a Niche brand, you would expect something more unique rather than synthetic and safe. The EDP will probably be way more successful now that everybody is aware of what to expect, and also with the addition that it will probably perform better and have a better scent character. 2. You've smelled this before. I'm no fragrance guru, but even still, to me this smells exactly like Invictus EDT with a hint of Spicebomb. 3. It's expensive, $75 for 90mL on eBay. For these reasons, I like many others simply cannot recommend it and wouldn't be surprised if it gets discontinued like Spicebomb Fresh. If you're a fragrance collector with dozens or even hundreds of fragrances, this might being worth checking out. Otherwise, if you're like me with only 14 fragrances or less, spend your money elsewhere. My recommendation - if you're interested and have the money, get the EDP which has been getting way better reviews, or get Invictus EDT, which smells very similar, better performance, and is cheaper at $52 for 100mL. As for me, I already own Invictus and will be selling this to get something else.

I've only seen so many people trash this scent for being "boring" or "too basic" whatever. All I'm going to say is let people hate on it because it's a sleeper and I guess we'll keep it that way💯 This is scent is a banger for the "everyday" use. I've smelled a lot of quality fragrances over the years and this one is still my daily scent. I have no reason to "glaze" or "hype" this scent up because I literally got it as a gift. If it were bad I wouldn't be afraid to make it known. No, I have no need to cope with ANY purchase, especially due to the fact this one was a gift to me, just to reassure. The fact this scent gets hated on for being "generic" is what plays into this being one of the best daily fragrances you could ever wear. It's going to be offensive to almost no one ever. It's a very mass appealing scent which is why it works great for literally anything. Is this a must own? Probably not. But if you have a very small collection and you want 1 fragrance for everyday use that anyone will love, it's this. It may not have the wow factor of others in the spice bomb line, but that's because its the least controversial scent in the spicebomb line to the everyday person you may wear it around. Just not an offensive scent whatsoever plus it does smell high quality. Does NOT smell like a deodorant, axe body spray, or anything like that. Smells like a quality, mass appealing, fresh masculine fragrance. Hope my review helps someone get a good idea of what this is. Overall: 7/10

This is not a Green or spicy scent, but a Blue one. The scent is actually good. As mentioned by many it is very similar to YSL Y EDP. I enjoy wearing it much more than the YSL. It's performance is better than Y EDT, but below the Y EDP. I prefer the smell however as Y EDP is too loud and sharp for my taste. This is better blended and more well rounded. The real problem is that this should have never been marketed as a Spicebomb flanker. This fragrance may in fact be one of the worst marketed fragrances in recent memory. This scent has nothing to do with spice at all, and if it was released as a completely different scent instead of a Spicebomb flanker it would be rated much better. (Gentleman Givenchy 2017 is similar - too many people were comparing it to the original Givenchy Gentleman, and gave it poor reviews for going in a different direction. If it was released with a different name it would have gotten better reviews) It is a much worse case with Night Vision - V&R need to broaden their horizons and get a better marketing / advertising team for future releases...as well as public input before releasing a decent fragrance that flops due to a bad name and bottle. Those in charge of releasing Night Vision really had no vision at all.

I picked this up at Nordstrom Rack for half price ($78/150mL) a few days ago, and have been wearing it daily since then. I knew the EDP had better reviews, but I've smelled the EDT several times at ULTA/Sephora and was always pleased with the fresh Invictus-like scent. This is NOT remotely similar to the original Spicebomb or the other flankers, this is a unique scent. I think most of the negative reviews are from people who expect it to share DNA with the original Spicebomb. Performance is decent for an EDT, I got a solid 1.5 hours of fair projection off my forearm, and 5+ hours of intense updraft from 3 sprays on my lower/mid torso under my T-shirt. No complaints on the performance. I wouldn't pay the retail price for this, but if you can get it at a discounter (or Nordstrom Rack, while it lasts) - I think it's a safe buy if you like the Invictus-similar scent profile.

You're looking at the best spicebomb right here, because as a hater of the typical spicebomb DNA this is actually different and I enjoy this one. Fruity apple and soapy cardamom with some vanilla and black pepper in the dry down. This is a bigger compliment beast than any of the other spicebombs and this one is to pick up the ladies. Also can we just appreciate this actually being like a fresh flanker for spicebomb? that's also a bonus none of the spicebombs are freshies this one is though so I totally love this scent. Possibly the most hated spicebomb in the fragrance community yet flying completely under the radar and secretly the best gets hate for no reason other than simply not having any spicebomb dna in it. People that hate this are people that just expected the typical boring spicebomb dna like they did in all the other flankers
