Do Not Disturb

Okay so the first thing is none of the notes here are correct. Like WAY off. According to Vilhelm, they are: TOP : SHINUS MOLLE (PINK PEPPER), CARROT MIDDLE : IRIS, JASMINE PETALS BASE : AMBROXAN, PATCHOULI, WHITE MUSKS For scent itself, it doesn't read as a "fruitchuli" on me at all. I've fallen in love with Vilhelm after FoF and this one may actually beat that out in terms of my faves. There's only one so far that I tried that was a letdown and it was Poets of Berlin. Do Not Disturb stars off as a leather woody scent for the first minute or so. I don't know what notes there are that create this, but that's what I get! After that the leather dies off and the woody scent remains and the florals start to shine through. Around 15 min it develops into an absolutely beautiful musky, woody sweet scent. It's almost into gourmand territory, the jasmine and iris don't pull as "traditional" florals. This is one that you have to just try for yourself but if you like Faces of Francis and Dear Polly, I think you'll love this one! When I think light and airy I think Moon Carnival. This is a smokey, sweet, slightly dark & boozy cool weather fragrance.

I am obsessed with this brand and with this perfume. This scent is so different, so beautiful made and so elegant. I just cannot stop smelling my wrist... Like all the scents from this house this one is very well layered! the opening is all black currant, very fruity yet spicy, is like waiting in a salon with a purple satin dress for the waitress to bring you another glass of wine while listening to the smooth jazz band, you get the woody floors smell, the musk from the bartender who is running late with some cocktails and the champagne that is being served on the table next to you. then it settles between a sweet and woody scent, I keep picking an amber note but I do not know if is part of the fragrance notes. The dry down is to die for, the vetiver comes medium to strong, and u can feel also the Ylang-Ylang in the back Just sexy and gorgeous. I am more than pleased and I need this perfume ASAP, u can definitely blind buy this if you are on the sweet/woody/spicy/bitter type of side, if you are looking for a unique and not so common fall scent, then sample this one and thank me later!

A masterpiece! The name of this perfume says it all actually if you let your imagination run wild. Very sexy bitter boozy woody scent. A hint of cigarette/tobacco. Licorice? Maybe even a tiny hint of fresh sweat. This is EXACTLY like the name implies - two people who stayed in their fancy hotel room for two days with some booze, cigarettes and non-stop lovemaking :-) Does not project at all by I guess it is by design. It would be disturbing if I could smell this on other people without being in their arms... On my skin (female) I don't smell sweetness AT ALL. After sampling this I will definitely look at Vilhelm Parfumerie a little closer.

This brand is so intriguing! Behind each perfume is a story that suits the scent. This is such a beautiful fragrance! I sampled all the ones in the store and this was definitely the winner, however, all of their perfumes smelt really really good. Idk where Fragantica got these notes from, however, the official notes of this perfume (according to Vilhelm Parfumerie's website) are: NOTES: Top: Shinus Molle, Carrot Middle: Iris, Jasmine Petals Base: Ambroxan, Patchouli, White Musk Absolutely stunning! and in my opinion, is coming up to the level of Baccarat Rouge 540 in terms of greatness. Highly recommend checking this one out <3

This one is HANDS DOWN the most impressive fragrance from this brand. What makes it extraordinary, is that it's a 100% original - I've never smelled anything like it, or even close, and the individual ingredients/notes are so well-blended they are difficult to detect. I'm not familiar with Schinus Molle, so that could be something I don't recognize, as well. But, mostly, it's extremely elegant, powdery - yet inky - if those two can, indeed, exist together, bold and sexy, yet somehow still light and airy. I'm a writer, and it's actually a v. difficult scent to describe. So, try it for yourself! Recommended.

This fragrance is just so captivating and mysterious. I keep smelling my wrists and I can't get enough. I've also found that everyone keeps close to me and even strangers start conversations with me when I wear this. I wouldn't wear this every day but this would be my go to for any event or date night. I find the blend of notes are so smooth and its so different from anything i've ever smelt. The fragrance also lingers on your clothes for a couple days later and lasts 12hours + on your skin. After I finish my decant i'll be buying a bottle.

Quite intriguing fragrance. I swear I feel lilies at the dry down , but lilies which are a bit dated - this kind of soft “ink”, slightly sweetened by ylang- ylang. Very interesting combo.. Because it is not a crowd pleaser safe scent - it is sexy. I would compare it to Ropion Carnal Flower quirkiness / green raw tuberose- that’s how DD brings out the best in ylang-ylang: it’s the scent without carbs - just raw attraction.

Bought a full bottle after trying a sample. Smells sexy and expensive. Different and unique scent for sure! Long lasting, I sprayed it around 9:30 in the morning went out in 90 degree weather in FL, got home around 11pm and my daughter said I smell so good! Edit: Been wearing this sexy fragrance more and more this summer. It smells so good and expensive. Longevity and Sillage above average.

Wow I'm shocked that this doesn't have a higher rating! It's beautiful! I already fell in love with Poets of Berlin, and now I will have to buy another bottle. The notes on here are wrong, see review below. I mostly pick up iris, jasmine and subtle patchouli. Extremely well blended and highly wearable in any season and occasion. Very sexy. I'm impressed with this brand!

Definitely smell the blackcurrant right away. It's jammy, fruity, but yet woody and seductive. Not even close to bathroom-scent. It's like a boozy fruity dessert. I love it. It's unique. Almost like a fig newton and a floral bouquet were blended together. I’m currently wearing do not disturb. I love it so much that I get jealous of others wearing it.

This reminds me of Jo Malone's Pomegranate Noir minus the spices. The fruity notes are similar to those in Pomegranate Noir as they smell quite dark and jammy. There's also quite a bit of woodiness. Ambroxan and the sweetness give it a little bit of BR540 vibes, but the sweetness is mild here in my opinion. Very nice!

Nice composition of sharp citruses, fresh grassy notes and something sugary sweet. It’s very interesting! I like this crazy mix because it smells very complex: I can also feel something very earthy and woody next too though notes I described above. When I wear this I feel like my own sugar daddy. Its so warm and wonderful. I think it would be perfect as an oil. Does anyone know of an oil perfume that's similar to this?

I’m dua or wrong my love for a good vetiver and this did not disappoint it’s mostly sweet black current initially but the dry down u get that sweet earthy vetiver! I’m not sure of what seasonal vibe I’m getting from this I’d have to wear it a little more. This is all from just a wrist test. Will spray all over for a full effect soon and can’t wait.

Fell for this before I realize it was mostly coded fem, to me I guess it's more middle of the road but can see how the sweetness would go more the other way. I don't wear it a ton but I put it on tonight and really liked how bright yet understated it is. It's not like anything else, a sweet woodsy scent is perfect for the changing seasons.

This is a lovely blackcurrent perfume. Beautifully soft and sweetly fresh fruity perfume. The most disappointing thing is that it turns into a skin scent within an hour.

Opens up with a dark, boozy, licorice-blackberry fruit note and a hint of oakmoss. As it dries on the skin, it turns a bit more earthy and smells like oatmeal cookies. There's very little sweetness to this one. I wish the berry note was brighter and juicy sweet. This is not a dense perfume. It's lightweight, subtle and airy. Do Not Disturb reminds me of Jo Malone's Pomegranate Noir, but with a more musty, fermented fruit note, and not as peppery, mossy and fresh as that one. Smell: 6 out of 10 Longevity: 7 out of 10 Unisex For reference, I'm female.

first impression is Blackberry, leather & wood. Like you have your favorite black lingerie on, the shades are drawn and you lay down on the cool sheets ready for what is about to come next. But then....it takes a childlike turn and moves to a festive amusement park with cotton candy and grape soda. Good for a little girls first experience with a super lux niche perfume or perhaps a grown up girl who is young at heart...very young.

I'm surprised there's no honey note here, because I can smell very juicy blackcurrants in honey syrup. This fragrance is sweet, even very sweet. Juicy and fruity, but not fresh and kinda earthy, so it will be better for the cold season. Upd: I have the 2021 version, it was reformulated in 2022 as far as I know, so it smells different now.

My first reaction was disappointment. I LOVE two other fragrances in this line (Dear Polly and Mango Skin) and this one is not for me. Do Not Disturb is earthy and jammy - I’m getting patchouli and raisins. Blackberry tea and cookies. It almost has a vintage quality. A mature, bookish scent.

The black currant comes through so strong on me that I can only say this smells FRUITY. While there may be woods and the other notes in the background, this is just so black currant! I wish it had more carnation and ylang ylang to give it that vintage feel but it's purely a modern fruity.

Opening is very sharp and heavy for my nose. After couple of hours the dry down is nice and calm. But I can't wait that long

The black currant here smells very dark and fruity, kind of like plummy raisin oatmeal cookies that gets more fruity over time. I like it, it's very sweet and comforting, but I wish I wasn't trying this in the spring because it's much more suited to be a winter scent. This is also a very home-y scent, because I can't really think of an occasion where I'd want to smell like that other than snuggled up under a blanket. It's definitely a gourmand, but it's not really sexy or enticing. To me, it's rather innocent, and the holiday spice that's present is pretty tame. I would say it evolves to smell more like a black fruit tea over time as the spice dies down. Unless you were going ice skating or riding in a one horse sleigh, date night would probably be better off in something with an edge. Edit: It has come to my attention that this smells nothing like how I originally reviewed it as... even the officially listed notes have been changed. Has there been a quiet reformulation? I smelled this in 2024 and it's nothing like I remember at all, no similarities, nothing. How utterly disappointing, I no longer like what is being released under the same name...

First sniff on me smells like dirt and a little woody. I know right away it's not a scent for me. I like to understand what individual notes in perfumes are suppose to smell like alone so I know why I may not like the perfume. All notes listed I like alone so the Papyrus stood out to me. I quickly Googled what Papyrus is suppose to smell like: "It can smell aromatic or woody, a little dry, earthy and spicy... it's more popular in Indian perfumes." Note composition on Vilhelm website is different as mentioned below in another review. Top: shinus molle, carrot Middle: iris, jasmine petals Base: ambroxan, patchouli, white musks So here I am again trying to investigate what I'm smelling and it must be the Shinus Molle plant: "fresh, woody-peppery, warm-spicy with a some-what sharp or dry, smoky-woody undertone. The odor becomes less pleasant upon ageing."

This scent was quietly reformulated, and a while ago I bought a bottle right after it happened (to my utter disgust) after debating for the longest time on whether I should spring on a full bottle of the original. What was once an alluring, well-blended, spicy currant holiday fragrance is now... something entirely different and in no way reminiscent of the original at all. Not even sure why they kept the name. If you want something close to the exceptional blackcurrant note I once smelled, a lighter, fresher comparison can be found in One Umbrella for Two. It's like the spring/summer to the original Do Not Disturb's winter. Anyways, please disregard any and all reviews that mention fruit. That version no longer exists.

Vilhelm Parfumerie Do Not Disturb I purchased this fragrance blind months ago. Tried it immediately it arrived. Ugh! Awful. Just watched Erin Nicole’s YouTube review of 12/6/2022 Luxury Fragrances in which she commented favourably, again, on this fragrance. So I had another try. Nope, I just don’t like it. My nose has pain from it. I just couldn’t wear this dank odorous liquid ever. Do not blind buy.

Do Not Disturb a sooooo disappointing blind buy. Too sickly sweet for me. I live in a tropical climate and some floral and/or sweet fragrances are overwhelming on me. I’ll store it until the weather is cooler and will try again. Definitely not a summer juice. Parfumes de Marley’s Delina, Delina Exclusif and Delina La Rosee are very wearable on me in summer.

Maybe it’s a problem of my body chemistry but this parfume on me smells like a reaaally sweet pineapple and it’s disappointing because it has no pineapple notes, idk i’ll try to wear it for 2-3 days and maybe I’ll change my mind but now it’s a dislike😕

I do not get the love for this one guys. This was a blind buy for me and sn instant regret. Smells like garbage disposal sink crud to me. Or stale. I am a lover of derp earthy scents. Especially patchouli. I font get any patchouli from this. At all. Dank wet rotting vegetation maybe but not my long time lover snd friend patchouli. Not a safe blind. Unfortunately this has turned me sway from the house itself. Based upon the description i wanted to love it. Jagger bowie studio 54.. yes please but to me it smells like the water left in the pipes aftet hosing down a wild night inside of 54.

This is a winner for me. I think it would probably appeal to the masses but it is definitely unique and niche. I can’t isolate any of the notes (except perhaps something woody that smells more to me like sticks than any other kind of wood note I have smelled before, perhaps this is the papyrus?). It is very well blended and rather linear most of the day. I don’t have much to say about it except that it smells sophisticated and expensive and I love how it works with my personal skin chemistry. I think this is what I wanted Penhaligons Vaara to be but this is way more subtle and less cloying. Definitely not a blind buy, too unique for that but worth a full bottle to me.

I blind bought this. Big mistake. Call me unsophisticated, but this fragrance straight up smells like public bathroom near a concert venue. I want to like it so bad, but whenever I spray it, I can only think of the eerie smell of a public bathroom, and I'm not sure that's what they meant by "Do not disturb". EDIT: Nevermind. I love this now. It really caught me off guard at first, but upon getting used to it I really started to appreciate how different it is. It is very unique and once it cools down it's very long lasting and sits stunningly both on skin and clothes. VERY expensive and unique smelling.

So I blind bought this during the pandemic, received and thought, "Meh." It wasn't bad, but it didn't "WOW" me. Last night, I decided to wear it, and WOW - nearly two years after I purchased it, it blew me away. The woodiness in this is the stuff that Fall is made of, and I can't remember why I once passed this one off as "Meh." I get woodiness ... and almost incense in this one. If there's carnation in here, it's so brilliantly done because I don't get that at ALL.

Was hoping to get honey/blackcurrant from this, but it’s straight up fruitchouli to me. I like patchouli but this was too much, and it’s just not complex enough to warrant the price tag.

I did not expect this to be so boozy/sexy when looking at the notes. There seem to be some kind of liquor, wine or rum? Not your typical fruity floral that's for sure.

Does someone know if Do not Disturb is discontinued? I haven't been able to find it - it's not on the official site anymore, local distributors also don't have it..

Is there honestly no honey in this!? It's all I smell! lol
