Opus Kore

This is my signature. Yes, I know it is expensive, I got it as a gift after eyeing it for about a year. Though, nothing else I’ve tried smells similar and trust me I’ve tried for a YEAR to find a dupe. My bottle is very strong but when I had a sample it seemed weak though I might’ve been nose blind after some time. So perhaps it had macerated? I’m going to wear this when I study abroad in italy for sure for the scent memories. This is fairies with little dresses made of flowers dancing under the starlight, rain drizzled meadows, babbling brooks rushing next to your feet, river mermaids resting along the shoreline. It’s floral but not in a pungent way. It’s aquatic and fruity in the most refreshing way possible. Spring versus fall wearing this is a different experience. It’s very floral in spring and very aquatic in the fall. Opus Kore -> Persephone and as someone who was always intrigued by the goddess I have to say it very much is fitting to at least what I imagine. Lots of people have said it’s pungent, I’m not sure why though? I haven’t picked that up at all. It is very much a friendly intro into Niche perfumes and I think will generally be a people pleaser, but not a safe blind buy, especially for the price. This is my signature for summer and fall. This makes me think of Lady Amalthea when she is human along with Raine from Pixie Hollow. The aquatic florals both remind me of them so much and feel quite suitable

Beautiful! a very romantic and delicate perfume. The opening is sweet and dreamy, the acai note is strong but in a perfect way, this transported me to a sunny day in a lake, when spring is dying and summer is starting to show up, very fresh and uplifting. I have to admit that for a Vilhelm fragrance this is a little bit in the linear side, but I still can see this is not a common perfume. I can wear this all year maybe more on the spring and summer, but I do not think this would be out of place on fall, because the dry down is still very musky and ambery. I love this, I would finish the sample and decide if I want a big bottle, but I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a romantic and bright scent.

I recieved a sample of this with a recent order and am in love with it. It will definitely be my next purchase as I just can't stop sniffing on the sample bottle! It's so interesting how people experience fragrances differently. This doesn't smell sour to me at all! And brash is the opposite of how I would describe it. To me, this is all round gentle. Gently floral, gently fruit, gently woody and musky. It's just perfectly balanced. It is moderately long lasting with good silage. This fragrance leans feminine to me. It is perfect for daytime wear and it is unobtrusive. Very good for work but also beautiful for summer evenings.

This takes me back to high school when I wore PAC Sun Nollie (the green circle silicone bottle) and it’s soooo soooo lovely! My bottle of Nollie is 15 years gone so I can’t compare side by side but I think Opus Kore is a little bit better blended, slightly more put together. I’ll probably get a bottle of this one because it has memory tied to it and because it makes me happy. It’s very easy to wear and likeable, nothing revolutionary. But honestly I don’t want crazy and weird in the way I smell. I want beautiful, I want an art piece that evokes memories.

A delectable fruity scent without being overpoweringly sweet and synthetic smelling. It leans towards more clean and citrusy smelling, which I was pretty surprised to pick up, as I would believe this perfume was leaning more towards being a berry-based perfume, based on the notes. Don't get me wrong; the berry notes can be smelled, but they are not too overbearing and are more towards the softer side. To those who favor berry perfumes, I would suggest this one, only if you don't mind the scent of cleaner notes associated with it.

This is a fresh and fruity frag, perfect for when you just got out of the shower. I spray it on in the morning and catch beautiful little fruity/floral whiffs throughout the day and it smells extremely clean. The opening is citrusy with the acai and lemon, then I get the violet and raspberry fairly quickly and I love the dry down. Beautiful fragrance and I can see myself reaching for it more in the spring and summer. 8/10 ❤

A perfect spring perfume and right up my alley, preference wise. If you tend to find lemon perfumes reminiscent of cleaner, you will not like this - but if you enjoy tart, crisp fruity florals I suggest trying this. It's one of my new favorites.

Very sweet berries at the opening almost laconic.Its like a very fragrant berry milkshake, with dainty jammy rose as garnish in your glass. It's little bit tangy ,but the sweetness is more prominent. I'm not getting the powdery. Overall opus kore is easy to wear pretty fruity perfume.I like opus kore more than mango skin.Im not regretting my blind buy.

Bright, sporty, clean, enveloping, and crisp, this scent is unique to my collection—maybe not as unique as Dear Polly, but it is definitely a niche scent with its complexity and unfolding layers. It's a great Spring and Summer scent or even one to put on when it’s cold and gloomy here in the Winter when I need some zest infused into the day!

Hello beautiful! Fresh and fruity, this reminds me of a romcom protagonist on a bright spring day. She’s clean and floral and wonderfully spunky. I just adore it, even if it does kind of remind me of shampoo. I think that’s kind of its appeal. If you want to smell incredibly clean, wear this.

Fruity, but make it grown up and tangy. This is shampoo, “clean girl” vibes that is easily wearable. If it wasn’t for the price tag, would definitely purchase for something that could be a pleasant easy-reach perfume.

Love love this. It is my perfume obsession of the moment. Just purchased a sample...but aiming to buy a full bottle. The fresh lemon scent is heavenly. Very spring.

Crisp, Fruity Shampoo! 🍏 🫧 🍋🛀 very pretty, but it isn’t a standout. Many other, cheaper perfumes smell similar. Dylan Blue is a good comparison.

Smells like Violet scented Paper tissues. I love it!

On paper, I was super disappointed with this fragrance. It reminded me of straight up soapy, fruity shampoo. Today was a nice spring day, and I thought I would honor the goddess of the season by spraying Opus Kore onto my skin. UMM?! I cannot believe how nicely it settled on me, and how it lasted for 6 hours under my scrubs after a long commute and into my shift AT WORK. I think the warmer I got through moving around, the more the fragrance warmed up and I was so delighted every time it wafted up to my nose! On me, I was definitely getting the flowery berry/citrus with a violet undertone, which kind of reminded me of the Dolce violet, but MUCH, much softer. I like her! She turned out to be a nice, perky, light scent for work - my patients were not offended by it. I would not call her a skin scent by any means, but it was delicate enough for being in close contact with others.

Words that come to mind when smelling Opus Kore: delicate, floral, bright, juicy, and fresh. It has a surprising musky fruity bubble gum vibe that take what could otherwise be a straightforward forgettable clean skin scent into something more interesting and special. I didn't expect to like this as clean floral scents--particularly with lemon, are not my thing. But there's something about Opus Kore that intrigues me. I would enjoy her on laid-back day when I'm fresh from the shower and going for a feminine, minimalist chic aesthetic. I should also note that my husband, a notorious perfume critic who likes only about 20% of what I sample, commented that I smell good without any prompting. Definitely feminine. I would be curious about layering it on top of a leathery scent (like Byredo's Black Saffron) to add a bit of edge. 7.25/10

This summer delight opens with a tangy, almost sour burst, like a splash of citrus or the juice of an underripe fruit. It cuts through the air, sharp but so refreshing, before slowly unraveling into something more nuanced. Beneath the initial tartness, a fresh magnolia heart emerges—green and ozonic, but with that clean (not soapy!) floral quality that somehow works, like the scent of freshly shampooed hair, soft and fragrant. It’s delicate, not overbearing, and balanced in an aldehylic and sunny way, but with a punchy edge that sets it apart from most fruity florals. Not your typical overused concept—just a crisp, elegant blend that is a tad special but immensely pretty.

This perfume reminds me of the year 2006-- a time when bootcut juicy couture tracksuits were all the rage, and everyone had bump-its super-glued to their scalps. This was a simpler time, one which was imbued with the candy-hued tones so iconic of the pre- great recession era. This smells like that-- feminine and unbothered. Luscious, juicy, and even peachy. This is a good pick for people wanting a clean burst of early 2000's nostalgia when fresh and fruity fragrances were the norm (think JLo's Live line, Britney Spear's Fantasy line, DKNY's Be Delicious).

Opus Kore is a very inoffensive, easy, delicate berry shampoo. I love Vilhelm Parfumerie, but the price tag is just too too much for what it offers. Opus Kore is a gentle, fresh out of the shower perfume for those who enjoy the smell of their shampoo, and want to prolong the scent into the day. My sample will be getting used up, but I have no reason to invest so much in even a 20 ML for $90.

Dewy, delicate floral. I can see how some would consider it basic but I find it actually quite nice for what it is. It’s an easy reach, does well in the heat and humidity, and the performance is decent. There’s a bit of very subtle animalic feel to the deep drydown that makes it interesting.

This one is definitely different. It's nice, but unexpected. I get the violet, the acai right away. It reminds me of Chance Tendre by Chanel! They both have a citrus top note, white floral mid, and musk, amber base. The iris is here as well!

Reminds me of fruity Escada perfumes I adored as a kid, a touch more sophisticated maybe. Inevitable bubble gum aspect that comes with red fruit scents. The drydown is musky and paper. Don't think it's worth the Vilhelm price tag.

This smells like a more high end shampoo, it’s not bad, this scent is nice and very fun, but definitely an everyday perfume, I do enjoy the dry down but if you want something special I’d look for something else.

Def smell similarities to Mojave Ghost and Chance Eau tendre. Smells very fresh, out of the showe and shampoo like. Beautiful light feminine scent that’s a perfect easy reach, (but an expensive easy reach)

Very nice fruity fresh floral. It reminds me of Chanel chance eau tendre and a bit of Lancôme idol mixed together. Beautiful scent, but if you already have these 2 perfumes, I wouldn’t purchase. 7/10

It smells like a beautiful deodorant. There's a fresh fruity floral scent, but with a soapy undercurrent (that is not unpleasant, just reminiscent of deodorant to me.) It's perfect for spring.

someone described it as sitting under lemon trees and i would agree! or maybe smells like a lemon dessert but wasn’t too sweet. such a pretty summer scent and got compliments

Reminds me of Marc Jacob's Daisy. Fresh and floral, I found the middle notes to be very grassy, but not in an unpleasant way! Sweet, not too overpowering.

A very beautiful opening. unfortunately the dry down has a spicy, bitter vibe to it. It almost comes across like ginger, both on my skin and on paper. :(

All I get from this is dryer sheets. I love a fresh and clean scent, so I don't hate this, but it's not worth the price in my opinion.

Opus Kore is a nostalgic soapy citrus. Nothing remarkable, definitely overpriced. A very safe clean scent.

empty and floral. i wish i got the acai

I blind bought the smaller version because everyone said it was a safe blind buy, but on first spray it has a sharp, almost screechy note similar to Aventus For Her just less strong, though it still bothers me. The initial spray feels bright and piercing. The drydown is different depending on where I spray it. On my clothes, the scent stays pretty much the same just less sharp. On my skin, though, it softens into a subtle citrus-floral, screechy sharp note disappears and becomes almost a skin scent, I can barely smell it unless I put my nose close to my skin. Not bad, just not what I was expecting. I'll give it another try when the weather's warmer -it might smell different then.

Opus Kore is a lovely, fruity and lightly floral scent that is inoffensive, bright, and fresh like a luxurious shampoo. It goes more green and floral on me than it did on the test strip (I got a lot more of that lemon and acai). Pretty, but it falls a bit flat for me given the price tag. It reminds me of about a dozen other designer fragrances that run for half the price. Even though it's not a dupe, I feel like you'd get the same vibe as Vilhelm's Opus Kore for a fraction of the cost by trying out Ouai's North Bondi, which also has notes of lemon, raspberry, violet, white musk, and sandalwood. Again, pretty, but nothing groundbreaking or particularly special.

This has an interesting green-berry note that I am assuming is the acai. It smells like green juice. Like lemon and parsley- slightly fruity and bitter. When I smell it, it transports me into a trendy juice bar where the juices come in fancy glass bottles, and everything costs $15. It's not unpleasant, but it's very unique so definitely don't blind buy. I personally don't love it, but it makes me feel like an LA girl on her way to yoga class--which is kinda fun. Soft florals come out in the dry-down, but the green-berry note continues throughout the wear time.

I was really excited to try Opus Kore, I've heard that it smells like a luxurious shampoo. I've tested it and it's nice. Long lasting and great everyday spring scent. But to me, this smells EXACTLY like Manic Panic hair dye. I want to like Opus Kore more, but I can't separate the scent association. If you ever wanted Manic Panic in a perfume, this is for you.

I really wanted to like this scent. I am a huge Vilhelm fan and I was very intrigued by the notes. It smelled beautiful on paper, so I know it will smell wonderful on some people. On me, I couldn’t stop picking up a celery scent mixed with lemon and a touch of magnolia. I will just be happy to smell it on others. Probably not a good blind buy.

When I smelled it on the paper it gave me very unique citrusy smell. It smells more like lemon zest with with bitter notes to it than lemon juice. Unisex fragrance for sure. You will definitely need to test it out before buy. I have 20ml bottle myself but haven’t reached the bottle yet, I think I’m waiting for fall season, more cold weather.

I really liked the opening when I smelled it in store, bright fresh and uplifting citrus. But now that I own it I should've perhaps tested it a bit more. I dries down into this very feminine shampoo and sandalwood, which I can appreciate on others just not on me. Smells like my mom honestly.

To my nose, this fragrance is pretty, but not very interesting or unique. I am disappointed because I had high hopes! But it just isn't giving me that wow factor. I feel like you could find a body spray from BBW that smells similar to this for a fraction of the price.

First blast of ticklish syrupy fruity white florals. Reminiscent of a 90s powersuit floral but not as overbearing. A rather mediocre offering from this house. Nicely done but generic. Feminine and best for cool weather.

Fresh, lemon with a splash of green and touch of white flowers. A skin scent. It smells like a household cleaner to me, though not unpleasant. It’s too expensive to not love it.

A basic fruity floral. Nothing wrong with it but also nothing much to see here except for how hard they went on the note names to try and make it seem special.

Im not fully comprehending all the reviews calling this "shampoo-y" and clean / soapy. I absolutely am obsessed with that genre of perfumes and looking for the best fresh out-of-the-shower scent. Opus Kore is not that. It's got a screechy & sharp note on top of the florals. Im not digging this at all. Bummer cause I genuinely thought this would be FB worthy! Also, longevity on this one is poor. I will say I have sampled almost all of Vilhelm's fragrances and Im not a big fan of the house. So take my review with a grain of salt if you enjoys others from the line. Adore the bottles though!

Hmmm doesn’t smell bad at all, but definitely not my thing. Very generic clean smell, like nice shampoo they use at the salon. It is very fruity, I mostly got the lemon on the opening, then it turns into pretty strong florals. It’s not really a very unique frag, I’ve definitely smelled a lot that are similar, but again, if you’re into the clean soapy smell, you’d probably like this.

I have a decant of this and when I first spray it on I find it quite beautiful. Unfortunately it does not perform at all on me. It doesn’t last and after an hour or so I can’t even smell it when my wrist is right up to my nose.

This one is really not for me. The main notes I'm getting on me are the violet and gardenia which is reminding me of an old shampoo I used to have. I got this as a sample so I'm not too upset it didn't work out .

Sour berry floral opening paired with a clean aldehylic musk note. Very synthetic, brash smelling.

After a few seconds this smells pretty good, but that dry down is too woody. It smells like turpentine on my skin. Its beastmode old wet moldy sandalwood. It wasn't for me.
