Allegria

Allegria is such a beautiful interpretation of a clean scent. It doesn’t have the sharp, overly soapy “fresh laundry” effect that many clean perfumes lean into. Instead, the cleanliness feels soft, airy, and very elegant and what I love the most is the contrast between the airy freshness and the warm base underneath. There’s a creamy, slightly powdery smoothness that makes the fragrance feel comforting and elevated rather than cold or sterile. The drydown has this subtle ambery warmth that gives it depth and sophistication while still keeping the overall composition light and effortless. To me, it smells polished, serene, and quietly luxurious — the kind of perfume that makes you smell naturally beautiful rather than obviously perfumed.

This is a lovely fragrance. At first spray, I was welcome with a pleasant airy, powdery vanilla scent. On my skin, I am reminded of powdery masculine fragrances such as Dior Home Intense, Reflection Man, and Prada L'homme. However, this is much softer and has more vanilla. Imagine being outside with a nice cool breeze and you have a freshly laundered linen shirt on. In the background, there is a bakery and they just finished baking pastries with vanilla and honey (I wouldn't consider this fragrance a gourmand though). This captures the essence of this fragrance. Airy, light, comforting, and clean.

This is a beautiful, softly sweet, clean vanilla fragrance. Although it can be worn outside the home, this is perfect for after-shower relaxing. There's something very soothing about this soapy vanillic fragrance. It doesn't overpower or aggravate the senses. It calms. It inspires peace and relaxation. I haven't gauged its sillage because, to me, it's a very personal scent to be experienced with the intention to love it only for yourself. It is a new favorite of mine. An instant classic.

Others have likened this scent to laundry detergent, and I kind of agree. But this scent is so comforting and nostalgic for me... It reminds me of my childhood somehow, but I can't pinpoint from where or how. Vaguely reminds me of my grandma's house in Greece and the childhood summers I spent there. It's a very clean, cozy, soft scent. I just want to wrap myself in a cocoon that smells like this perfume and drift off to sleep...

Smells absolutely divine. Aquatic salty opening with hint of florals that dries down into an absolutely delectable vanilla scent. Can’t compare it to anything I own it smells so beautiful.

Lovely! It's like being wrapped in a warm hug. Perfect for snuggling up on the sofa on a rainy day.

A soft, powdery, sweet musk that hangs around in a quiet but persistent way. At first I thought I’d get tired of Allegria, but the more I wore it, the more I liked it. It feels perfect for those days when I forgo my contacts and end up in my glasses, lounging in leisure sweats with a cup of herbal tea. Not sure I like it enough to purchase, but I am thinking about it,

A fresh, gentle scent that opens with sea spray and soft florals, then moves to musk and spices.

Some weird sour note I can’t put my finger on....

Villa Erbatium is a Korean brand I'm not familiar with, but their romantic gothic aesthetic suggested something ...different? than what Allegria delivers. With its airy powdery vanilla, cloying sweetness and "clean" conformity, Allegria is the fragrance embodiment of weaponized beige, Christian girl autumn energy in a bottle (there's nothing autumnal about it, it's just aggressively calling to mind this "Christian girl autumn" photo that I remembered seeing on reddit.) It's the olfactory equivalent of overpriced artisanal laundry powder and "fresh linen" candles lit for LuLaRoe parties or some shit, the sort of aroma designed to be so universally appealing it becomes suffocating in its blandness. This is the scent of people who insist on "clean" makeup and chemical-free foods, that elitist purity obsession wrapped in aggressively neutral vanilla that clings to your skin and sinuses like the slimy feeling you get about that shady spiritual cleansing program your friend wants you to join but you're pretty sure it's a weirdo sex cult with a side of pyramid scheme. There's something about this that smells like enforced wholesomeness and suburban respectability that almost immediately becomes that predatory wellness-to-exploitation pipeline that's so specific and creepy. The combination of spiritual manipulation, financial scamming, and sexual predation really nails that particular kind of modern cult operation. Wow, this escalated. But I smell what I smell.

Guilty pleasure. This is unique in the combination of vanilla with a somewhat soapy clean linen that dries down to a comforting baby powder esque smell. The marine aquatic notes start out slightly masculine but in the end it is cozy vanilla with powder. It isn't sophisticated or complex but the combination of warm vanilla with cool and clean notes is unique compared to most warm spicy vanilla gourmands out there. This is something you would absolutely wear to bed, when you are sick, or just need some comfort. I am considering a full bottle just for that.

Chloe Vanilla Planifolia + a little bit of laundry detergent powder = Villa Erbatium Allegria. Moderate projection and longevity. This is not what I was expecting at all. I've only worn my sample once so maybe I'll give it a second chance. For now, I don't like it. I also did not like the Chloe one so that's probably why.

If you miss muskane by Nishane this should be right up your ally. They smell very very similar. It’s good!
