Dracula

It is an incredible rose fragrance. The name is very misleading as it is very wearable, smooth and truly gorgeous. It is in the rose oud vein though there is no oud and it is not strong. The combination of the fig and light tobacco is amazing. It is unisex but leans a bit feminine. I am not usually a fan of rose scents but this one is outstanding.

I was lucky enough to smell this while at Esxence earlier this year. It went straight to my must have list!!!

Good but it reminded me of Orchidée de Minuit Chloé

When I first wore Dracula, I pictured: dark red velvet draped across a shadowed room, strewn with rose petals . It doesn’t smell like the vampire, but rather like the lingering aura of his presence; the velvet-draped air of a room he’s just left behind, or the scent of his resting place, where roses, dust, and darkness intertwine. To be truly gothic-baroque, a fragrance needs more layers, more mystery; a kind of deliberate restraint beneath all that opulence. This one only grazes that edge, so I call it a gothicling . Yet it does capture a glimpse of the aesthetic: a dark, velvety rose, soft and nocturnal, with just enough depth to whisper of the baroque. The usual “blood and wine” tropes are absent; instead, the opening is yeasty, almost champagne-like, laced with a trace of tobacco. Quickly, it turns to velvety rose and green notes, smoothed by vanilla and a faint lactonic undertone. I can’t detect coconut directly, but its creamy warmth lingers in the air. The orchid accord (a fantasy note) is clearly present, evoking the spirit of a famous orchid perfume, though here it’s rose that takes the throne, not truffle. It’s dark yet not austere, gothic yet wearable; a gentle shadow, not an abyss. Sweetness here comes solely from the warmth of vanilla; never excessive, never cloying. Projection sits at a moderate level, while longevity stays close to the skin; it’s one of those scents that ask to be applied generously. A gift from my dear husband, and I opened it for the first time on Halloween night, keeping the symbolism alive. The bottle, like the name, is dramatic and weighty; a relic with a heavy, regal cap. Not what i expected! When you say "DRACULA" you expect earthy, dirt, dark floral, bitter, sweet, metallic, stone, mossy, damp, rain tones and this one is actually bright, fresh, green, clean and overall light and airy. So the name is misleading in a way but the fragrance is good. So for my goth girls, my moody dolls, my dark queens, vampire brides...this is not what you would typically seek BUT it is a nice fragrance and I love the bottle, it's beautiful. I pick up mostly soft rose, fig leaf and leather, the dry down is a touch of faint sweet coconut. My nose doesn't grab the orchid or vanilla. Skin scent, intimate - not a trail blazer or banger for strong sillage - scent lasted on my wrist and arm about 2 hrs before i lost it. So weaker on the stay power.

i like this one a lot. smells like a fresh, sweet cologne. very interesting combination that you wouldn’t expect from what’s listed. but executed wonderfully. love!

This is a really pretty dark and vampy rose scent which is to be expected given the name. I get a smidge of the coconut in the background that gives it a certain lightness that I enjoyed, made it more unique. I kinda wish I got more of that note but overall I think this is really nicely done and I might end up with a full bottle of it. At the moment though, I think it’s a little much for high heat, for me anyways, so I’m going to revisit my sample in cooler temps but it was an unexpected surprise.

It’s a nice fragrance but not harmonious, I feel like some of the accords clash. Sharp, fresh and aromatic, then coconut out of nowhere trying to fit in. Does feel gothic but not in a dark way because it’s almost too green.
