Addiction Absolu

First sampling of the recently-launched Vivamor Parfums (unsurprisingly managed by the same personnel as Navitus Parfums) is Addiction Absolu, which opens with a superb blend of rum and dried fruits, drying down to a spicy, woody, resinous blend featuring nutmeg, sandalwood, amber, and vanilla. It is reminiscent of Navitus Parfums Raised Spirits, albeit without a curious nutty accord, but boozy and rich and yet smooth and wearable all the same. It has a wee bit of sharpness, given the spices and rum, but is still warm and inviting. This is an easy love for me right off the bat, and a great first impression of this new collection of eleven, and it is quite strong, with very little application needed of the larger glass sample to get a full impression. And the name seems fitting—this is an alluring, semi-sweet, semi-gourmand blend that I want to smell over and over. Like Navitus, Vivamor’s pricing is reasonable modest, at $155 for 100ml in extrait concentration. I purchased my sample set directly from Vivamor when the collection was announced in December 2022 (and that discovery set is still available) but Perfumology now carries bottles from the collection. 8 out of 10

This is such a delicious and intoxicating fragrance right from the beginning till the dry down. Absolutely with boozey and sweet fruit cocktail like start with nice depth and elegance. It's classy, gentle and not loud yet definitely stays and performs well giving the nice scent bubble for a very long time. Not a projector but whenever your body heat goes up, you smell more and you will continuously hit by a nice soft pleasant whiffs of elegant sweet and creamy scent throughout the life of the fragrance. I don't own Angels' Share however I had smelled at Sephora, I think it's still not the same. I have a feeling this one gives you a bit more "oomph" and sexy vibe than A.S. This is my very first purchase from this company and am very happy to have this one even though I paid extra for the US currency conversion (from Canadian $) and the expensive cross border fees and tax. It was still worth it for me. I super recommend this to those who like boozey sensual and sexy gentleman like masculine fragrance for a date night or social gathering. 9/10.

I've been wearing a sample of this for a few weeks and genuinely I think it has made a man fall in love with me. He literally told me that any time he is out and he smells something remotely similar to it he thinks of me and smiles. Will update if I confirm that he needs me viscerally but at this point in time I suspect it. I have had a few fragrances that make me feel more attractive but I feel like this one just fucking transforms me into an impossibly seductive woman that you get close to at a party and her smell kisses your nose and you immediately want me to ruin your life. Within a few minutes of it drying down it becomes something divinely feminine, delicious, "addicting." It's a new favorite for me, absolutely getting a full bottle. Also quite long lasting. I can apply it at 7am when I leave for work and still smell it on myself when I shower at 9pm. update: we kissed

I tested most of the Vivamor line at Perfumology in Philly. I was impressed with everything I smelled but this I couldn't live without. And since I haven't regretted the purchase, not for a moment. The boozy, spicy dried fruits is addicting, making the name appropriate. It's niche without being challenging. It's an excellent fall/winter date night fragrance. One of the sexiest fragrances I own. It performs very well without being beastmode or overbearing. Typical extrait de parfum concentration behavior. On skin, it projects for 3-4 hours, with a 7-8 fragrance life - on clothes much longer. It leaves a beautiful sillage trail. $155 is an excellent price for this level of niche perfumery. Boozy, spicy, dried fruit fragrance is all you need to know - if that is your jam, then you have to check this out.

Though I understand the comparisons to Angels Share, this comes off as darker, sultrier, and sexier. They both have a similar DNA (obviously, from the notes) -- vanilla, rum/cognac, and sandalwood -- but the musk and amber anchor this deeper and the jasmine in this dusts it off with a gentle powder that muffles what have otherwise been scent too sweet. Angels Share is just that to me: too sweet, and the cinnamon in there is much too reminiscent of warm candied apples. This is dark, sweet booze, and nothing cloying or innocent about it.

Obsessed with this. I went to a perfumery recently and this was easily my top choice after smelling tons of different scents. It definitely has a strong first impression, and although it may be a more "masculine" scent initially, I found that the longer it sat on my skin, the more it became a warmer and more feminine scent (though I don't mind wearing a masculine fragrance as a woman anyway). The combination of notes is just delectable, and although this probably is not an every day kind of scent, I'm tempted to make it one.

Really love this - perhaps because of the striking similarity (as far as I remember, at least) to Kilian's Single Malt. They're not 1:1 but this is fantastic in its own right, and will certainly be worth getting a bottle for me at least... Single Malt is impossible to find for anything close to a fair price anyway!

This is my new absolute Number 1 fragrance. It was love at first sniff...eternal love at drydown. I am middle aged female and it speaks to my soul. If you like warm ambery boozy juicy scents, this is for you. I had to laugh because I bought XO Brandy and this on the same day!

I can see the comparison with Angels Share but in my opinion, this is so much better. Imagine a more boozier, grown-up and sophisticated AS. I will use this one a lot this winter. 10 out of 10!

Angel Share vibes bit different enough. This is my type of fragrance. Smells upscale. When fall am winter comes this will be a go to for me.

This smells very similar to Killian’s Angels Share. I believe that it’s redundant to have both. However, if you were not happy with performance of Angels Share, then you may want to try this. In my opinion this performs better.

it’s rich and warm and smells like something i can’t quite remember, but i know that i knew it in my past. a bit too dark of a scent for me, but it’s good. avi may like it better

Great for cooler months. Can work day or night. Any occasion. One of the best scents for the price.

There is something in the Vivamour base that reminds me of Lataffa - the screechy musk. This one was so synthetic and screechy, I quite hate their execution of popular scent profiles. So many better alternatives out there...

Really not a fan of this its like someone took a pee in my bed and tryed to cover it up with the drinks cupboard and crumbled Christmas pudding over it to hide the evidence

Sexy, dark and sweet. Dried fruits with vanilla and sandalwood dipped in rum. Gorgeous. Sadly does not last or project at all.
