Caramel Pop

I want to say the hype on this one is real and so deserved!!! Now I do have one downside which is that the caramel pop I was sent was both leaking and had a defective cap on it that kept the black insert in the cap stuck to the bottle while the gold shell came off but vivamor is already on top of fixing that for me and I won’t even lie the leakage didn’t even bother me because when I opened the package I already smelled the fragrance and my toes nearly curled but once I sprayed it... oh my god it’s everything and more. I’ve been addicted since first sniff it’s somehow the most gourmand fragrance I’ve smelled (and I own Italica) but also not overly sweet because if the saltiness from the popcorn and booziness in the background. This is such a decadent fragrance but AI the great said it perfectly when she specified that it’s still a niche fragrance. I got a bit worried when some said this smelled like pure caramel popcorn and it does but you’re also getting other notes that fill out the scent profile both making it more intoxicating to experience while also cutting back the foodie aspect to remind you that this is a gorgeous niche perfume. It’s a niche take on caramel popcorn and it’s absolutely delicious. It almost feels criminal that the price tag is so cheap compared to most niche scents. I have more expensive niche frags that don’t smell blended as well or give as good of a performance with a massive sillage like this one does. Vivamor is showing us that these scents can be made cheaper because they are proving it. I’ve also tried Vanilla Vice from Vivamor and it’s like a more feminine and more sensual version of Babycat so I’m gonna take an educated guess and say the entire Vivamor line is high quality on par with the best of the best so now I’m looking at Tom ford and fragrance du bois wondering wtf the price tag is so dang high for when caramel pop is better than anything either house has ever put out while being a fraction of the cost. Not trying to say they don’t have good frags but I’m just pointing out that caramel pop is one of the best things I’ve ever smelled where you can tell it’s both niche and yummy but the price is mind blowing. I find it hard to believe that anyone would smell this and be a hater because it’s just simply so delicious and I’m not usually a caramel fan not in my foods or drinks and especially not the smell yet bianco latte and caramel pop are making me out to be a liar because both have caramel notes that instead of being too sickeningly sweet like I’d assume they are just the perfect amount of decadent to my nose and on my skin both come alive. And both are priced on the lower end from different houses while being masterpieces that everyone should own. Also please do run to Vivamorparfums while they still have their sale on their new line! I saw a few people post reviews and it’s like they were speaking my thoughts because for the last couple days I’ve been smelling caramel pop and being like “hmm this smells like a niche fragrance version of cheirosa 62 because I have the body sprays for 62 and 40 as well as the original leave in hair conditioner and the salted caramel and nuttiness in 62 is so similar to the salty caramel and nuttiness you find in caramel pop. Don’t get me wrong it’s not a dupe by any means but if you like 62 then you’ll fall in love with this frag because it’s a long lasting upgraded version of the body spray. I’m already planning to have the sol hair conditioner in my hair while wearing caramel pop and I might even spitz a little 62 on myself even though caramel pop is such a rich beast mode fragrance it doesn’t really need a pairing it stands on it’s own but I am curious what it would smell like mixed with even more nuttiness from the pistachio note in 62.. I have a feeling it’s going to be a dream combination especially for those who have both the hair conditioner as well as the OG bum bum cream... I can’t imagine how delicious one would smell after using the sol products after a shower with the body wash in the 62 scent then adding the hair care and body lotion before finishing off everything with a few well placed sprays from caramel pop... omg I think that would intoxicate every single person that comes around and not to mention the compliments would be insane. I think I’ve just talked myself into buying more sol products to pair with this frag but if anyone has actually tried the pair let me know how it turned out. Also to anyone reading the negative review that this dries down to a generic scent profile I can assure you that it doesn’t. Over time the caramel only gets more dense and nutty with a boozy vibe to it but it’s absolutely nothing like intense cafe at ANY point in the opening mid or dry down and I own and love intense cafe so I would know. It might make a really beautiful layering combo but the one I’m really waiting on is latte di cherry. I’ve purchased the new notes frag as an impulsive blind buy and I’m hoping I love it because I’m already salivating at the idea of layering it with caramel pop.

YUMMY! If you want to smell like a caramel popcorn snack then look no further🤎 This is sooo delicious and buttery and sweet. At first spritz you can really smell the caramel popcorn note. It literally smells like freshly made hot caramel popcorn with the most delicious gooey caramel sauce. Although it is really sweet and gourmand, it is not sickening at all, it actually smells high quality and has an addictive quality to it. As it starts to dry down, the benzoin comes out and makes it smell warmer and more perfumey which I love. Then when it’s fully dried down, you mainly get a delcious caramel and vanilla scent🍮🍿🍦 In my opinion, this is more gourmand that THOO what about pop. Yes they both share a similar scent profile, but they are not the same. Caramel pop is much more buttery in comparison and it is definiteley sweeter and has a more pronounces caramel note. Such a successful purchase for me and I’ve been loving all the Vivamor releases lately. Try this out if you love caramel popcorn you will fall in love with it😍 Ps. My bottle was also leaking when it arrived but now it stopped. Not sure what’s going on with the manufacturing of these bottles. Just a tip I never click the lid all the way down anymore, and it stopped leaking completely now.

Sampling Vivamor Parfums Caramel Pop, one of the new collection of five that was just released by the house earlier this month. Fittingly, this fragrance is a decadent gourmand smelling of caramel popcorn, probably the most realistic fragrance that I’ve tried that features caramel popcorn at its center, with additional supporting notes—namely, vanilla, resins, and woods. It rounds out nicely, still being a rich, sweet, gourmand, but having enough of the salt and caramel to give it some character while having just enough of a non-gourmand base to give it some balance and sophistication. Overall, it’s very nice, not a huge, loud statement, but a comforting gourmand that delivers on its name very well and lives up to the very strong standard of the Vivamor/Navitus empire. The retail pricing on this latest quintet is even better ($125 for 100ml) than the initial eleven releases ($145 for 100ml), which is great to see, and there are usually additional discounts available and the concentration is still extrait de parfum. I bought the discovery set for the newest five releases directly from the house site, but the bottle are sold both through the house site and great boutiques like Perfumology. 8 out of 10

So caramel pop is exactly what it says it is thank goodness! Because I have salt caramel by shay and blue and it was a disappointment! So, this very much a mouth watering gourmand 🍿 Caramel popcorn scent I also get some chestnut 🌰 plain caramel but the caramel popcorn is the star.. it does remind me of chirosa 71 or 62... but nothing muddled or artificial. It's airy and light. This is for a specific gourmand lover... you have to love a realistic scent... I do get the orchid...but its way in the background. Longevity is ok and the projection will have a few heads turning wondering who smells delicious. I'm so happy with this 💓 so sweet and good. I'm sure it will only get better with time.

Great gourmand! The popcorn note is not prominent on my skin (lasts 2min) then I get the most delicious buttery vanilla cookies (just as in Accident a la vanille by jousset) drizzled with sticky sweet caramel. As it dries down I get that orchid with a touch of nuttiness. The benzoin with the tiniest amount of cedar just round everything up nicely. The bergamot & orchid stops this fragrance from being dense & cloying. Nothing harsh or overwhelming. Very well balanced notes, just greatly done!! It's an easy like especially for gourmand lovers. Choco exclusif is even better! Edit (Xmas day): This is DELICIOUS 🤤

I am pleasantly surprised at how identical it smells to salted caramel popcorn! A true gourmand with beast mode projection & longevity. It gives cozy vibes, I would wear this to the cinema while munching away on popcorn🤤 the scent gets better and stronger as you let it sit over the months. Some ppl compare it to Cheirosa 71, but I completely disagree. SDJ 71 smells to me like freshly baked out of the oven vanilla macadamia cookies (I love it!) However, Caramel Pop smells just like caramel popcorn, with a softer sweet dry down.

I love this fragrance! it's a strong popcorn and caramel scent on the first spray but the dry down is so yummy. It's fun and very different. I have paired it with Donna Karan palo Santo perfume and it's so good together. I have no complaints. If you enjoy gourmand scents you'll like this one. Definitely a fall scent for sure.

Ugh! I’m hooked! This smells so good and the name certainly isn’t, clickbait. Perfect for the upcoming season. I think I might even like this more than my Vanilla Vice. Navitus’ atomizers are the absolute best! There’s a post below saying it’s beast mode and THEY are not lying! Oh! Very warm caramel popcorn gourmand... yum!

Soo good I bought a backup. This is a gourmand from the opening right to the drydown.. it’s mouthwatering & buttery & damn right delicious! Not to mention incredible lasting power!

I have sampled it and my reaction was - incredible - literally the best popcorn note I have ever smelled. I was ready to buy it straight after first few seconds. Unfortunately this reaction was short lived. After 10 minutes that incredible note disappear and then I star to smell the orchid. Unfortunately I am not a big fan of an orchid note and I can not get away from it until many hours later. I would love to buy it for that first note but spraying it every few minutes... my bottle would be gone in a day. So no this one is not for me. Silage is strong and it is long-lasting. My kids loved it as well.... I mean who can resist the sweet caramel popcorn note. I wish that note stayed a bit longer.

Sweet, decadent, mouthwatering! The popcorn note is blasted strong right at the top but for me I could still get the saltiness from it throughout most of the wear. It's a very realistic caramel popcorn! It takes me back to those pop-up autumn festivals with kettle corn wafting in wind. In the oddest way to me it smells like October. I don't think it projected much, and I found by the 5 hour mark it became more of a skin scent. As for the comparisons, it gives me less Cheirosa 71 vibes (nutty, more chocolatey, more cookie-like) and more Cheirosa 62 (salty caramel, but also nutty). Got a 5ml sample so I will be playing around with this in the colder months!

A nice, nutty caramel popcorn scent with a hint of caramel apples (I assume from the bergamot). I don’t find it too salty or not sweet enough, and I like VERY sweet scents. I don’t get any orchid or cedar, but that’s fine with me. It has minimal sillage and lasts about 6 hours. In terms of perfumes listed as similar— ❌ Lattafa Yara: a tropical fruity scent ❌ SDJ ‘62: slightly tropical and much less sweet ❌ SDJ '71: deeper and nuttier, more cookie-like ❌ Shay & Blue Salt Caramel: just smells like salty sandalwood on me ❌ Tru Fragrance Praline & Pistachio: much lighter and has a distinct coconut note

Don’t go into this one expecting What About Pop, because it does not smell anything like it, but it does smell exactly like caramel covered popcorn! A sweet, delicious, slightly salty bowl of caramel popcorn. This stuff literally makes me drool. So yummy! While I find this edible scent intriguing, I’m not too sure that I want to smell like this. This is more of a fall scent profile to me, I will have to revisit then 🍃🍂🍁

I think is going to be the most popular fragrance from their new line. This is an initial impression. This is a straightforward caramel popcorn. It’s sweet without being cloying. It’s unisex, gourmands can be worn by men and women. I can’t speak on the longevity yet as I’ve only been wearing it for about 45 minutes. I think the projection is fair as I can smell it projecting from the top of my hand.

I agree with the other reviewer that believes this will be the most popular scent from the new gourmand lineup. This is the most truly sweet enjoyable gourmand scent. I'm not a huge fan of popcorn note in perfumes if they are very strong, but this one isn't too strong (though that note is detectable, for sure). Nice caramel and somewhat vanillic scent.

That popcorn note at the beginning 🥴 but after it fades, ahhh 😌 yum, nutty (chestnut) vanilla is what I get. Perfect for a fall walk with a coffee in hand. It’s a comforting scent and on my skin something beautiful happens on the dry down 😍 However because this scent changes throughout the wear, I don’t think this is a safe blind buy.

Opens up with a very realistic popcorn note but quickly fades into a heavy roasted, cozy chestnut scent that I do love. It reminds me of by the fireplace without the smoke and This is her. Very comforting scent. I would honestly say it’s fall, winter exclusive for me due to the heaviness of the nuts.

Totally agree with the review by @hollykdenton that says many caramel perfumes don't smell like caramel. They were spot on with going in the direction of caramel but still not completely identifiable. In my own words, it does verge on caramel but it's just not there. This one is unforgivably bad at first. It doesn't smell much like caramel, it smells entirely nutty. It starts smelling a bit sweeter and slowly starts to resemble, in my opinion, cocoa butter once it sits but the nut smell stays for quite a while and completely ruins it all by overpowering it too much. Eventually, the nut fades enough to be able to appreciate that cocoa buttery popcorn smell (it smells more like cocoa butter to me, not caramel but that's subjective). First spray stunk like a ferrero rocher chocolate if it was 90% nut and 10% chocolate, truly foul (and I LIKE ferrero rochers). Within the first half hour, it's still around 60-70% nut to the point it is still overpowering everything else. It really feels like the second I smell cocoa butter or any hint of popcorn, the nut jumps in and is like don't forget about me (as if you could). However, the nut does deplete!! It's not until about half an hour in where the nut really starts shutting up but it's still identifiable, it just becomes less of this perfume's signature scent. Overall, if you want to smell like popcorn, this technically is a good option but only if you don't mind the extremely strong nut smell at first and the faint nutty undertones that come with it throughout. Basically, if you like the smell of nuts, you'll probably love this. I gladly only have 10ml of this because I'd rather look for something similar in the mean time without the nut and don't recommend blind buying this at all, test it first! I might have to revisit this though, it's not bad if it weren't for the nuts. I don't want to sound overexaggerating because the nut does fade but it's sickly overpowering at first and lightly lingers throughout.

Idk how I feel about this yet. I just got it in the mail, it was a blind buy for me. I absolutely love THOO What About Pop, it just doesn't last very long or project on me so I was looking for something similar. I was so excited to spray this when it came in because I assumed it would be just as good if not better. I sprayed it and immediately was disappointed. The popcorn note was stale and it smelled like feet. Like someone's feet were sweating in pumps all day and instead of washing them they tried to cover the smell with perfume. After 5 minutes or so the other notes come in and that's where the magic happens. I got a beautiful buttery caramel note with a hint of vanilla. I didn't detect any of the saltiness that others have mentioned. I wish I did, I love a good salty note. I will let this rest a bit to see if it changes. I really dislike the way the popcorn note in the opening is done, it smells stale. I'll sit with it for a few weeks then come back and update if anything changes.

I bought this b/c I LOVE 71 And THOO What about Pop. I have both of those, so I can tell you this has a weird note those do not have. It's almost the twang you get with some Arabic fragrances. I do not think this is going to be my cup of tea, unless that part settles in a few months or the dry down is worth it. Maybe they shot too much benzoin in this. I RARELY don't care too much for a gourmand, but this might just be my least favorite I own. I would say if you are after a truer scent of popcorn, just go buy 71. Or if you want to shell out the $$$ Get What about Pop. I don't know if I can sit through this smell to reach EVEN an amazing dry down. Wheww. NatalieN on Youtube. If anyone is familiar with the DNA DUA has in a TON of their fragrances, THAT is what I smell. If I change my mind, I'll update.

It smells like the artificial butter flavored oil poured over movie theater popcorn. I was hoping for a sweet, rich caramel scent with popcorn.

Buttery and salty caramel popcorn. A little too salty for my liking. Wears quite heavy on initial spray, ultimately being very moderate in both longevity and silage. I wish I loved this. It’s just too salty and buttery to my nose. I don’t get much of the caramel, vanilla, or hazelnut. Otherwise, I probably would’ve enjoyed it more. It’s like I poured the popcorn butter directly onto my skin.

Very similar to Cheirosa 71 from Sol De Janeiro, I get pancakes that have with drenched in a nauseatingly sweet maple syrup and topped with vanilla wafers and buttered popcorn. I don't find this wearable at all. I've had multiple people smell it and they've said the same thing - its nauseating. I can see this as a candle.. for the kitchen .... bought from Marshalls/TjMaxx.

I don't know why, but many caramel fragrances just don't smell like caramel to me, just sweet and perhaps a little fruity? Maybe like dried fruits, so it's sort of going in a caramel direction, but it's just not identifiable as caramel. This is one of those. I get a little bit of salty buttered popcorn, but it's mostly just this weird not-caramel scent.

It’s a synthetic mess, sickening sweet with an articulate caramel popcorn note. It could easily be £20, this is a hard pass from me.

Let me start off my saying that my bottle took over 20 days to ship and I wish I could say it was worth the wait. It came with a leak and the inner bottle cap completely came off because it was not glued on properly. There have been several people complaining of similar issues on other platforms as well. Total quality control issue on Vivamor’s part. Not to mention their customer service as a company is beyond terrible. Apart from the perfume leaking all over my box and bottle, to MY nose I get a very cloying, synthetic caramel fragrance that does not even remotely compare to Cheirosa 71 (which is a gourmand masterpiece imo). This is a VERY strong and obnoxious fragrance and I don’t find it refined or realistic in any way. This is NOT a safe blind-buy in my opinion and I would definitely sample it if you get a chance before committing to a full bottle. It was so bad that I had to get rid of my bottle right away.

With the drydown becoming creamy/generic- like Intense Cafe in my opinion. Every single person who has entered my office today said it smells good in here, but they think it's a coffee drink because this perfume is rather FOODY sweet. But wear it if you love it! I can't think of anyone who would hate to smell this. I applied a decent amount of sprays at 7am before working at 9 and it's going strong. Don't overspray unless you are enjoying at home. My first squirt on a tissue from 20 hours ago is mostly gone, but I do get a light sweet buttered popcorn to that tissue.

I got this as a sample recently and I just can’t bring myself to like it. I am obsessed with gourmands and anything caramel but I just can’t do this one. It smells sickly fake and synthetic and the florals and bergamot just don’t make sense in this. People said it smelt like 71 but it just smells like burning plastic to me? It’s really not an enjoyable scent and I’m so happy I didn’t try to invest in the big size 🫣

I’ve had this one for two years. It’s gotten sweeter and more caramel like. The popcorn is strong here so don’t buy this if you hate popcorn! I’m gonna wear it as the weather cools and maybe layer with marshmallow. It’s a very cool weather perfume imo. I want to try the cirque de soleil and see how that compares. In the dry down the popcorn subsides a bit and it mellows into a nice sweet caramelish concoction.

Smells yummmmmy. Last long time but you have to go in heavy handed. Like 30 sprays. The performance of this house is overrated. They are all light and short lived. Except for Vanilla vice. Which is back up bottle worthy. This is a SDJ 71 dupe which is delicious, so if you like that you will love Carmel pop. But do not pay full Price. Wait in a sale as it is overpriced.

🍿 caramel? yes popcorn? yes sweet? yes but... more I am getting the chestnuts, and vanilla, but there is something almost fruity here. I can't pin point it yet. There is a familiarity here....The vanilla is distinct in that it is the same vanilla as LeCouvent Cologne of the Mission - slightly boozy, resinous. I do like this a lot, gourmand and yummy for sure.

I love cheirosa 71 and this one is in no way similar. It has popcorn in the beginning but this very strange synthetic sharp drydown I’ve noticed with vivamor and navitus perfumes before. I don’t know what they use in their base but this one I didn’t like at all. Definitely try before buying it.

This is gorgeous! A very sweet gourmand caramel popcorn scent, probably the most popcorny scent I’ve come across. Definitely some nuttiness that grounds it as well (chestnut?) but otherwise a delicious scent.

I didn’t expect to like this so much. Buttery, sweet and salty popcorn. Then on the dry down there is an airy freshness that keeps this from being cloying. It’s a perfect gourmand!
