Cherry Prive

I just received this fragrance and... It's hard to talk about it! I have to admit that the perfume has shocked me, and it is not at all what I imagined it would be based on the notes and other comments that I had read. I was expecting a sweet and intense perfume with a very present cherry, in the line of perfumes like Lost cherry or cherry fever; and I have found a perfume with a very very light sweetness, a very soft cherry, which in reality could be any red fruit and more fresh than intense. Smells good? Yes, very good, it smells great. To try to explain the sensations that this perfume has provoked in me, I would say that it is like the Baccarat Rouge 540 of cherries. And it is that for me it has a very similar behavior to the eau de parfum version of that fragrance. Cherry prive creates an aura around it, quite close to the skin but it is there, without separating. It seems that it is not there but suddenly a gust comes and you think, oh yes, yes it is! And that burst is like amber almonds, very tasty but very soft, very delicate, very elegant and very pleasant. The drying of the fragrance is a light woody amber, with cedar and sandalwood, which at times reminds me of traditional colognes but with a slight fruity and powdery touch due to the rose, which, like the cherry, is noticeable but without highlight, with a very very slight intensity Since I have cherry fever in my collection, it complements it very well. Cherry fever is perfect for winter, for nights out, dinners or dates as a couple as it is irresistibly sexy. Cherry prive is its diluted and fresh sister. Perfect as an office scent, for daytime use or to wear in summer Its duration is moderate, (5-6 hours on the skin) it seems more like an eau de parfum/toilette than an extract, but for its price it is quite adequate. The projection as I said short and soft but present. I have to admit that at first I was a bit disappointed. I thought cherry, extrait, Bertrand Duchaufour... And I took it for granted that it would be a bombshell! And I found a firecracker of those that go without fire... But on the other hand, it must be recognized that it is a very risky and artistic perfume. At a time when all brands are releasing their own versions of Lost cherry, after the hype it had a couple of years ago, I find it very interesting that a brand risks releasing a cherry perfume that totally goes in one direction. different Therefore, if I had my feeling when I tried the perfume as a reference to rate it, I would give it a bad grade... But after trying it for two days and being able to isolate myself from that initial feeling and try the perfume, leaving aside the subjective aspect a bit and my initial expectations, the perfume really deserves a good note. Vivamor Parfums Cherry Prive is a sweet, smooth, spicy blend featuring cherry, almond, cinnamon, and tonka. Contrasting Venom of Love from the sibling company, Navitus Parfums, the fragrance of which is a bit sharper and more resinous, Cherry Prive is smoother and more easygoing, perhaps a welcome alternative to those who find Tom Ford Lost Cherry and the like to be a bit too overwhelming. Cherry Prive still smells very sophisticated, though, and does not veer into synthetic territory, which is one of my (minor, given the price) criticisms of Banana Republic Dark Cherry & Amber, which felt, for me, more appropriate as a soap or body product than perfume. Cherry is a really fun note when used effectively, and Cherry Prive does a very good job. As Lost Cherry (and similarish concoctions like Venom of Love) were created first, I wouldn’t say that Cherry Prive is superior or even quite equal, but I think it’s going to prove more accessible to many given that it does not have the biting aspects—clary sage, sour cherry, etc. For me, it’s an easy love and one of my two favorites of the line (so far) with Addiction Absolu. Like the rest of the line, Cherry Prive is priced at $155 for 100ml in extrait concentration—very reasonable, in my opinion—and is sold via the house website as well as Perfumology, and it performs quite well. 8 out of 10

Remarkably well done with the blending. It's the first fragrance I've tried from vivamore and I can say the quality is actually up there. The boozy element in here is similar aroma chemicals to side effect but that's just one half of the story. The rest is a very well done cinnamon and Cherry accord. I'll be honest with you the cinnamon in here is some of the best I've ever smelled and I can say that to me this is better than Oajan by pdm. I have to say this is remarkably well done. The cinnamon and the boozy accord as well as the Cherry have me fairly impressed. It does not smell feminine to me it smells perfectly unisex. I'm going to give this a higher rating - it's settling down very nice. Edit: this is fire. This is perfectly blended Cherry cinnamon side effect. You're welcome.

This IS sexy cherry fragrance. There is nothing gourmand about this, and I love that. It is not your typical gourmand, dessert type. This is grown sexy woman in her sexiest classy dress, will be perfect for work events, formal dinner or date night. I need a bottle of this to complete my cherry collection. Beautiful !

Incredible fragrance. Sexy, boozy, dark cherry with an ambery element. Good performance too. I get so many compliments off of this. Women love this on me. Compliments galore. So smooth.

If you're thinking Lost Cherry then think again. This is a boozy black cherry with rose and amber. Very nice. Sexy date night/ fall/ winter fragrance.

Boozy ambery dark cherry. Good performance too. Just an Absolute sexy fragrance. I am a man and I get compliments just about every time I wear this.

This is my second sampling from the discovery set, and I haven't yet figured out who the target audience is for this house. Cherry prive is another masculine fragrance, but it's unlike anything mainstream. But I have to say... I would stop a man and ask him what he was wearing if I detected this. Cherry prive' has a very sophisticated, intriguing silage. So while I wouldn't wear it myself I would be very impressed by someone who did.

Dark and dirty the rose, sandalwood and marzipan are the big boys in this light touch of dark red cherry not sweet I don't get any resemblance to Tom ford and it's nothing like others I have on my shelfs I really enjoy this definitely a evening scent

Similar to the cherry scent u smell from a pipe mixed w a soft lambskin leather (leather is not a note, I am sure it is the cedarwood) - smells sophisticated, suave & different - I adore it, I think it smells, cherry nice.

Nutty cherry goodness. Definitely a liqueur quality, but a subtle booziness. The rose is very minimal, more like a soft pink floral than a popping rose. Also bit of powdery porcelain doll smell - tonka? Between the cherry, the florals, and the sweet tonka powderiness, it has a lovely candy quality without smelling juvenile or juicy. There's a faint rubbery, woody quality to the base that offsets the cherry and powdery florals to realign this scent as firmly unisex. It may not be masculine enough for men who like traditional fragrances and women may find it's not feminine enough (especially in the drydown), but I suspect most women would go crazy if they smelled this on their man. For some reason, fragrances like Mugler Pure Havane or Naxos come to mind. Must be the cherry and the tonka. Cherry Prive is well-blended and relatively simple. Like many cherry fragrances, it loses a lot of its cherryness (and personality) in the drydown and can be confused with other sweet tonka fragrances, albeit nowhere nowhere near sickeningly sweet as a lot of fragrances I've tried. That said, it still smells really damn good well into the drydown and, IMO, gets more masculine as time goes on. I only have two other cherry scents: Lost Cherry and Cherry Punk. Cherry Prive really doesn't smell like either of those at all. Lost Cherry has a lot more going on and is probably more interesting overall (especially as the fragrance that kickstarted the cherry craze), but IMO is a little more chaotic than Cherry Prive, more feminine, and has an obnoxious, love it or hate it opening. Cherry Punk is more masculine and darker, but what makes it interesting with the smoke and leather is probably where it also loses a lot of people who are turned off by the darker aspects. For me (male in late 30s), Cherry Prive will likely be my cherry fragrance of choice when I want to smell great without scaring some fragrance noobs

I've struggled to find a ton of cherry scents that I really love because a lot of them either smell like cough syrup or they're too similar to Tom Ford's Lost Cherry. But THIS is stunning. There's something distinctly boozy about it. Wine specifically. To me it smells like a cherry wine with lush red rose petals floating across the surface. The cherry is definitely in the mix, but it's so well balanced with the rose and the *slightest* bit of spice. When it comes to performance, this stuff is strong. The scent itself isn't overpowering, but it will last on your clothes until you wash it out. I'm an oversprayer by default, but I force myself to go easy on the trigger with this one or else other people will be able to enjoy my scent while I'm nose blind to it. Not ideal for me as I wear fragrance purely for my own enjoyment. All in all, this is a gorgeous scent that has managed to be different enough from other cherry scents I've tried and for that I am grateful.

This is a nice take on a cherry fragrance that is different enough from the others. It is not a "dupe" of any other cherry perfume that I've smelled. To me this is perfectly unisex. If you are still on the cherry scent train, then try and sample this one, because it's really enjoyable.
