Dark Indulgence

Vivamor Parfums Dark Indulgence is a fairly-aptly-named dark, dry chocolate-led blend involving hazelnut, orange, vanilla, and musk. It’s not *that* indulgent, at least, to me, as gourmands go, in that it’s not too over-the-top but in fact a bit restrained (reminiscent of Crème Exquis in this respect), a strong nod to gourmand lovers yet ultimately something that anyone can enjoy while appealing to modern trends that favor sweeter-leaning fragrances. Like some of the other darker, sweeter-leaning options from the house, Dark Indulgence performs well, seems reasonably aptly named, and is pleasant, not too overwhelmingly, likely to welcome in someone who might note ordinarily be a big fan of this subcategory of fragrance. As with the rest of the current Vivamor catalogue, Dark Indulgence is priced at $155 for 100ml in extrait concentration, sold not only through the house site but also through Perfumology, which also carries the sibling Navitus Parfums line. 8 out of 10

If you are anything like me and DISLIKE chocolate notes in fragrances as they can come off too dusty powdery or too dry or too mellow, let me tell you, THIS IS THE BOMB! its warm, creamy, a bit nutty with the perfect amount of sweetness. The notes are really well blended and super smooth. This is not your harsh, cheap synthetic, dusty chocolate no no no, this is quality fragrance! THE chocolate for non-chocolate lovers, its gourmand enough yet very wearable. I love this! My eyes were rolling in the back of my head, its sooo good. My next purchase!

Initial spray: I am surprised how little attention this one gets!!! A rich semi sweet chocolate with the perfect amount of orange... yes!!! The mid: Seriously, why aren't people talking about this?!? Perfectly mellowed- still giving all the chocolate and orange vibes The dry down: It is still lovely, but so very quiet, absolutely no sillage or projection, 100% skin scent... dang it :/ I will let it sit and see if anything changes, to be continued... Edit: I still LOVE this! I actually CRAVE this! But the longevity still remains to be an issue :/

I get so many compliments on this. My fiancé who hates most fragrances, said it was good. Easy blind buy in my opinion if you like chocolate & orange.

Dusty Dark chocolate orange with some creamy nuttiness👌🏿. If you like gourmands (not heavy gourmands) then you'll like this. One of my fave chocolate frags in my collection. It does share strong similarities to Empyreal from Navitus but this one is creamy and nuttier

The least masculine of the discovery set and also the least challenging. Chocolate (not dark chocolate, more like cocoa beans to me) with a touch of orange. This is unisex and a tastefully done gourmand.

This reads fruit loops on me and i absolutely love it🍭🍫 it just doesn't last and I don't know that I can justify adding to my collection for a fragrance that's only lasting 1 to 2 hours on me🥲

Rich, indulgent, cozy. Chocolatey orange perfume that has a slightly boozy quality to it as well. For chocolate lovers this is a must-have.

This is a straight up yummy oooey gooey chocolate fudge! Wow. Indulgent indeed and decadent! Chocolate overdose. Love it

For the price, I expected something more sophisticated and nuanced but it smells no better than cacheral "Yes, I am delicious". If I want to smell like tootsie rolls, Ill reach for my $20 bottle of Cacheral and save the big money for something more complex.

I bought this expecting a chocolate orange perfume. What I get from this is leather. I guess it’s the ambergris. Unfortunately any ambergris, leather or oud notes intensify on me, so much so they overpower any other notes. These just don’t mix with my chemistry at all. This one is absolutely no for me. I have a full bottle for sale if anyone is interested.

I’m so waited my Discovery set from Navitus and Vivamor. Especially about Dark indulgence. I expected dark bitter chocolate with citrusy notes. So I got dark chocolate but with huge dose of sweetness. Yes it has citrusy vibes but only first around 20 minutes. After that it’s something near to Chocolate greedy- same headache sweetness. So sad. I’m still in searching my perfect Bitter dark chocolate.

I just received this today so this review may not be fair entirely. I tested this, and to my nose I get straight up Dutch processed cocoa powder, no orange, no vanilla, no sweet. I'm going to let this mature, and hopefully, the rest of the night start to emerge.
