Dubai Reverie

A beautiful soft, fresh, fruity Summer scent. I'm not huge on fruity fragrances but this one is a beautiful and interesting blend of citrus, lychee and blackcurrant, almost Ozonic, very bright and uplifting. Nothing like tanning lotion - or some other horrid things mentioned below- to my nose. Clean, fun unisex daytime wear with better than expected longevity for a citrussy Summer blend. Update: the longevity is insane on this one for a Summer freshie, the scent remains powerfully present on clothing the following day and has infused into a second layer of clothing underneath with the same intensity!

Bought this blind buy. Didn’t care the Sweet Sin one. It was a variation of this new scent profile, every house is going for today. Dark cold weather “date night” type with things like almond and davana and booze in it. Not my style. This Dubai Reverie was nice though. More for summertime. Touch of citrus, and there’s something unique in there. Ginger. Definitely a touch of amber and musk as it dries down. Really nice. I’m trying to think of something to compare it to. Think like.....Burlington 1718. But with musk and something sweet to tone down that super tart citrus up top. Very well done.

Let me tell you something...let me tell you something!!! This fragrance was a shocker for me. I didn't expect Dubai reverie to smell so good. It's juicy, citrus, and sweet but with a twist. I can see it being unisex. Definitely a 10/10. I received compliments the first day I wore it.

This is a love and a mainstay in my collection. It's bright, fresh, and compliment getter. Bought this after sampling the discovery set and can say for me it would've been a good blind buy. Layers well with other fragrances. Definitely recommend. It's a 10 for me.

This is absolutely stunning! Nuclear performance! My bottle has aged beautifully, I’ve never smelt fruit done this way before. Gorgeous 🤍

Sampling Vivamor Parfums Dubai Reverie, part of the latest quintet of releases from this past December. It’s a versatile, fresh, spicy, aromatic blend, a very balanced mix of fruits, ginger, vanilla, woods, vetiver, amber, and musk, seemingly a formula to get to a very pleasant place. This is among the best examples in the Vivamor/Navitus catalogue of a rather unisex signature scent; in fact, none other comes to mind that accomplishes this quite as well. It’s very useful, though it lacks some of the more daring, interesting aspects of a few of the other releases from this latest fivesome that I’ve already sampled. Still, I very much like that in most of the larger collections there’s an option like this that’s a bit of a jack of all trades, something that’s classy, comforting, and does not overwhelm stylistically in any one category. The closet comparisons that come to mind from Vivamor are Akoya and Urbane, though Dubai Reverie strikes me as a bit superior to both, perhaps in the realm of Soleil Matin from Navitus in terms of being a versatile somewhat-freshie, but it performs better than the absolute freshies of Navitus or Vivamor. Like the rest of the line, this is priced at $125 for 100ml, a decrease, in fact, from the prior Vivamor (and most common current Navitus releases’) pricing of $145 for 100ml, still in extrait pricing, with discounts available, so it’s hard to knock this price point for a great fragrance in the current market. This is such a beautiful spring/summer fresh fragrance. The clementine is very sweet yet soft. No sharp citrus note in this, everything is well balanced so its perfect for those who hate citrus scents like myself. That ginger note is in the background but you can still detect its presence. The dry down is really amazing, the amber, the musk and vanilla work so effortlessly together, loving this! So creamy, warm yet airy like a cloud. Perfect for summer day dates, brunch or even running errands. lasting power: moderate projection: leaning strong Unisex 10/10

Sampled this as part of the discovery set and it smells different from the others in the set. I do like it as it settles on my skin. It smells better on my skin than it did on the blotter for sure. It is soft, citrusy, sweet, clean/powdery and musky. It is comforting but not in a gourmand way at all. It leans a little soapy but not in a bad way. It has better longevity and complexity than I expected. Be sure to test this one on your skin.

A lot like Bal D'Afrique by Byredo, only perhaps a bit more rough around the edges and more vetiver forward (Byredo version is more smooth, a tad more well blended and overall my personal preference). However it is still a decent, good quality scent. Given the name, I'd imagine it should truly shine in hotter weather, but I'm sampling it in winter. It is kind of fresh, woody, a bit of citrus/greens, but also pretty wearable and unique. Worth sampling for sure :) for me it is not worth it, as albeit nice, this is not my top scent profile and the decant of Bal D'Afrique in my collection manages to tick all the boxes for me.

Sampled this one as part of the new 2024 discovery set and again im pretty underwhelmed with the smell. I'm having a tough time distinguishing this from tagomango. To me they both smell like stepping out of a tanning bed smothered in cheap tanning lotion I dont really get any citrus smell at all

It has a nice dry down, but it’s like every citrus musky scent with a touch of niche nuances. It’s not super special. The price isn’t horrendous if you’re into a madly musky sweet citrus.

Absolutely not. Harsh, overwhelming, and just not for me. Mad I even smelled it!

This perfume is a good test to see if you are anosmic to modern Amber-Musks. Each time I have Covid my perception of smells changes. So, if you do feel them you will get the comparison with Initio, woody animalic undertones and a hint of menstrual blood and cats' litter. If you do not feel this chemical disgusting mess it will smell nice, indeed similar to Bal d'Afrique, even with a little bitterness of Tagetes (I experienced it this way during Covid, but then "my nose came back"). This is an exact dupe of Initio Musk Therapy. If you like clean powdery musky lotion scents that resemble Dove soap, you will love this. Also reminds me a lot of Sylvaine Delacourte Dovana perfume
