Rouge Imperiale

Vivamor Parfums Rouge Imperiale is arguably the first floral-forward fragrance from that the house that I’ve tried so far, a fittingly rose-led blend supported by a medley of (listed) orris, jasmine, sandalwood, suede, cedar, and vanilla. I do sort of get a little bit of all of this, a sharp sort of sandalwood/orris blend countered by vanilla. It has the makings of an agreeable rose/oud fragrance but without the oud itself, but rather an orris and woods blend. I think it’s quite well done without reinventing the wheel, which has generally been my feedback for the house so far, a lovable fragrance that, while not totally new or unique, very effectively executes on a concept with a dense, rich, lovable, and plausibly versatile mix. As with most of the house’s offerings, Rouge Imperiale strikes me as more appropriate for cooler weather. Like the rest of the house, Rouge Imperiale is priced at $155 for 100ml in extrait concentration (sold on the house website and Perfumology), which I find reasonable, considering the quality and performance. Overall, I think fans of rose will enjoy this and many will prefer it to options with oud. 7 out of 10

@Dumbplings No, this smells nothing like BR540 or Instant Crush. It's pretty masculine-leaning and to me smells like a rosy animalic scent.

You must love rose and suede to enjoy this scent. I've tested many scents that list suede or leather in the notes, but I don't think I've ever smelled it so prominently as I have in this fragrance. This has no inkling of sweetness in my opinion so not similar to BR540 at all to my nose. Unisex for sure.

To me this is a very synthetic rose with equally synthetic rubber-like suede. I am not a fan.

Can anyone tell me if this is a clone of baccarat rouge 540 in the same style as mancera instant crush? reading the notes it seems like it would be similar to instant crush by mancera and the name makes me think it's a BR-540 clone
