Ultimate Aphrodisiac

Omg I LOVE this! I already love Navitus The Embrace (NTE), but I was having a hard time trying to decide if I wanted to get this or Reserve Exclusif (RE). I ended up going the safe route (getting this and a sample of RE), and I can definitely say I made the right choice. Like others have said, this is a louder, sweeter, and more amplified version of Navitus The Embrace. Ultimate Aphrodisiac (UA) is a more gourmand version, with more sweetness and chocolate / cocoa butter. It is a lot more linear than NTE too. Personally, I think that's a good thing. It's like if you cut out just the opening of The Embrace, and then took that piece and amplified it. The green notes & vetiver that's in NTE never comes in. Instead, the drydown for me leans more caramel-y and honeyed. So addicting. The performance right off the bat is also better than NTE. UA is both louder and longer lasting than NTE (altho, my NTE did get better performance after maceration). Overall, I'm super happy with this scent. Someone below said it's a less refined version of NTE, like a rough draft. I kinda agree. It is less refined, but that's not a bad thing for me. It scratches an itch I get from NTE -- when I just want to douse myself in it bc I just can't seem to get enough. And also, when I want the gourmand opening chords to stay, but the vetiver has already started singing. Now, I can have the best of both worlds. If I were to make a comparison, Navitus The Embrace is like Emily Gilmore to Vivamor Ultimate Aphrodisiac's Lorelei Gilmore (Grandmother and mother in the Gilmore Girls). Same family, same genes, but one is more subdued and refined, while the other is more loud and sweet.

OMG this is amazing! It’s the best gourmand fragrance I have ever smelt!❤️ I got this as a birthday gift from my sister and it has become my favourite gourmand fragrance ever! This smells creamy and boozy and sweet and nutty and syrupy all at the same time. It smells like cacao butter with almonds, vanilla and boozy chocolate. The chocolate isn’t the most pronounced note but it gives a lovely edible touch to the fragrance. I mainly smell the cacao butter, almonds and vanilla. I personally don’t really get the coffee, and I wouldn’t say it is a coffee fragrance at all, at least not to me personally. When you first spray this you get a delicious mouthwatering blast of almonds, boozy chocolate and cacao butter. It is soooo mouthwateringly yummy. Once it dries down, the chocolate settles and it becomes mainly a cacao butter and syrupy vanilla scent. 🍦🧈🍫🥃 Even though I tried to describe it as best as possible, I still cannot describe how amazing and delicious it is! It’s syrupy and creamy and sweet and nutty. Amazing! You will literally smell like a walking snack. I can’t stop smelling my wrist it’s just divine! Also, it is so delicious and gourmand but still wearable and it has a nice high quality perfumey touch to it which keeps it from becoming too cloying. Also longevity and sillage is great! I sprayed it at night and I woke up and I could still smell it! The sillage is also strong and it smells lovely in the air. Overall this is 100/100 it’s my new favourite perfume and I’m in love 😍 I will probably need a back up bottle soon I cant stop spraying this lol

This comes off smelling like an almond+deep vanilla fragrance... It has depth, and I do gey some cocoa too (more cocoa buttery than dark chocolate). It is fantastic and intoxicating. What a lovely grown-up gourmand. It projects a little above moderate and gives a nice scent bubble and noticeable silage. Coffee in the base makes sense, giving the depth of the perfume and that touch of gourmand-earthiness I am picking up (but it is not overly earthy at all). Well-blended. Reminds me of something similar to Initio's Absolute Aphrodisiac but more gourmand. Or Amouage's Material (another favorite!). This is something like the gourmand version of those types of perfumes. Great for colder weather, date nights or just wearing around the house for yourself to enjoy in your own delicious silage. 🥰

THE yummiest, mouthwatering gourmand yet perfumey enough that you can't drink it!!! IT IS INCREDIBLE! This is distraction central, I could not focus on the movie was busy salivating from smelling my wrist and it lasts so well on the skin. A winter baby for sure. Just go sample it and be hooked like the rest of us(gourmand lovers)!

This is fucking delicious. Like others said, smells like a sweeter the embrace. I bought the embrace due to its unique nuttiness and this one has that but with a more saccharin edge. I just sold my bottle of the embrace in place of this. They are too similar to justify having both.

This scent is yummy! I get Cocoa Butter, Brown Sugar and Almond more than chocolate! It’s not a straight up chocolate bar scent which is something I’m usually afraid of when I see chocolate. This one scent is a flirty gorgeous gourmand!

Gourmand to the fullest. Nutty, chocolaty, and slightly fruity. This is what I call a gourmand banger!

YUMMY! delicious melange of Marzipan/Almond with Milk Chocolate Vanilla and Brown Sugar.

Amazing gourmand. Safe blind buy if you love nutty and chocolate-y gourmands!

Vivamor Parfums Ultimate Aphrodisiac is a sweet gourmand blend featuring notes of almond, rum, cocoa, vanilla, and coffee, likely the sweetest fragrance from the house in the initial catalogue and a fair nod to gourmand lover. Almond is the most noticeable note, but after that, the other notes are in harmony, varying some the sweet to the very sweet to the dark. So there’s a nutty-forwardness that reminds me a bit of Addiction Absolu while nonetheless leaning more heavily gourmand. Overall, it’s a strong gourmand blend that gourmand lovers should try, and provides an air of sophistication that makes it (in my estimation) a bit more welcoming to non-gourmand lovers. It’s not among my very favorites of the house so far but I quite like it and would be happy to wear it, particularly in cooler weather, for which it feels appropriate. It’s of a quality similar to other offerings from not only Vivamor but also its sibling company Navitus, which also has a plethora of gourmand and gourmand-like offerings. Like the rest of the line, Ultimate Aphrodisiac is priced at $155, is in extrait concentration, and is sold not only via the house site but also Perfumology. I’ve said it before but I think this pricing is quite good, particularly considering that the longtime 100ml Navitus pricing was $195. Moreover, it’s dense and rich and performs well. 7 out of 10

Don't let the name mislead you, it is not related to Absolute Aphrodisiac by Initio, at all. I mean it is not meant to be a dupe - Vivamor is not a clone house, so it's understandable. It is very rich, almost oily scent, mostly like caramelized popcorn to me. But cocoa butter among the notes actually really makes sense. At the same time it is quite perfumey and not completely like food. Reminds me of some strong, rich, sweet feminine perfume I've smelled decade or so ago, although this one is not very dated and has amazing gourmand nuances to it. Or more than nuances, rather 70% of scent is gourmand which is an improvement to the base I'm familiar with. It smells like a lot of delicious things at once, and play well together. Also it has some level of sophistication, so I understand why some may call it a gourmand for grownups. It wears beautifully, gently fading and taking you into it's soft cloud. The seversl hours are best, but not immediately after application (as for immediate moments it seems a bit too much, but it isn't). Good performance.

There's no doubt that it's a gourmand and dedicated to people who like their perfume sweet and even sweeter. I've been exploring more balanced scents in terms of sweetness recently. Maybe that's the reason why I didn't enjoy the perfume that much while testing it during a regular warmer day, it was pleasant, but offered me a pinch of sugar more than I wanted. However... It was raining today and I thought "why not". The aura was perfect to appreciate this perfume. It felt boozy, chocolatey, comforting and delicious. Whenever I got some wafts of the scent, I admired it's creamy smoothness. Do you remember the sensation while biting into a chocolate-covered ice cream and you hear the chocolate pop under the pressure of your teeth, knowing that it will soon be melting in your lips? Satisfying. And so is "Ultimate Aphrodisiac" (including the chocolate theme) if you give it a chance and consider the weather conditions.

This is warm, rich, chocolatey goodness in a bottle! If you like chocolate gourmands, don't miss this one. This is my second vivamor sample and so far both of them are great delicious sweet scents. I can imagine wearing this during a cozy winter night while drinking hot chocolate to feel surrounded in chocolate luxury.

A rich thick chocolate with some nutty undertones. Absolutely delicious without being too sweet. Very comforting and likeable. Obviously, for gourmand lovers. For me this is a winter only fragrance.

Reminds me of a doll I had in the late 80s that was chocolate scented. Smells decent but not anything I’d want to smell like, as a gourmand chocolate fragrance lover.

I think this is so...abrasive. Strong gourmand notes amplified 100 times, all of them hitting your face at the same time with the same intensity. Harsh even for me, an oversprayer who loves strong fragances. I mean, this is waaaay too much.

When I got my hands on the discovery set and saw the notes for this one, I fully expected it to be a dupe for Kilian's Black Phantom. Imagine my surprise when I sprayed it to find that it's actually a dupe of The Embrace from Navitus lol. Well, not quite a dupe exactly. More like a version of The Embrace that didn't make the final cut. An unapologetically gourmand version that isn't trying to be loved by those who aren't crazy about gourmands. This dives head first right over the cliff into gourmand land and I love it for that. So much so that I decluttered The Embrace and replaced it with Ultimate Aphrodisiac. Sweet, syrupy, nutty goodness that I got a lot of wear out of this past winter. I will admit that I expected this house's offerings to be full of duds, but I was pleasantly surprised and I'm glad I got the discovery set and gave them a chance.

I bought this fragrance for the almond and it did not disappoint. I love the smell of chocolate in real life and enjoy many chocolate scented products (lotion, soap, body sprays, candles, incense sticks) but chocolate notes in perfume are very tricky for me. I have had many chocolate perfume fails (Nauvitus Chocolate Queen, TK Chocolate Velvet, Cacharel Yes, I Am Delicious, Pink Sugar Red Velvet, YSL Black Opium Extreme, Lattafa Nebras, Hugo Boss the Scent Private Accord for Her, etc). Ultimate Aphrodisiac has a chocolate mousse accord (to my nose) and it is the only chocolate perfume that has rocked my world. I don't get the booziness that others do. This is a favorite for me out of my fall/winter fragrances.

I was very excited for this and after reading all The reviews and seeing the ratings I thought this was gonna be very sweet good in cold weather boozy vanilla cinnamon sweet bomb. Unfortunately it’s got this harsh bitter scent that doesn’t fit at all. I can smell the chocolate and slight vanilla. I know it says bitter almonds but it’s almost as if the almonds went bad and just ruin the scent. I’m gonna rock it today and hope it settles down and gets better. I had high hopes for this.
