Perlerette

Love at first sniff!! I completely agree with @Ameliadrevein, this is what I had hoped Misia would be... Based on the notes and description, I thought I would love Misia, and try as I might, it sadly does not work with me. Perlerette is a dream come true, exactly what I wanted! The Aldehydes give Perlerette a champagne cocktail effervescence that is truly magical, delightfully complementing the convergence of powery iris, violet, and lipsticky rose. I also detect a touch of blackberry, though it is not listed in the notes. This is an enchanting, feminine scent that hints to the past while effortlessly embracing the modern woman, much like a timeless string of pearls for which the name implies. I adore a perfume with history, and Perlerette was recreated in 2013 by perfume house Volnay Paris from their 1925 scent "Perlinette". Their website describes the fragrance as follows: "Romantic and aerial spirals of fresh flowers spreading in its wake delicate powders of rose and iris, giving it a silky and sensual side. Perlerette is not a perfume; it is a way of being in the manner of queens, as Catherine de Medici, who perfumed her hair with iris." After purchasing a sample from Fragrance Vault, I immediately placed an order from the Volnay website and am eagerly awaiting my full bottle. Perlerette reminds me slightly of another favorite scent, Lipstick Rose by Frederic Malle, but Perlerette is lighter, brighter, fizzier, and more ethereal. So far, I love them both equally, but I also appreciate their differences... Lipstick Rose is more overtly flirty/va-va-voom/Marilyn Monroe in style while Perlerette is a slightly cooler/impossibly chic/Grace Kelly. Perlerette is what Grace/Tracy would have worn the night of her tipsy wedding-eve party in High Society. I'm thrilled to add this to my collection!

I’ve been utterly transfixed on violets this winter. It’s been cold, and usually I want to warm up with spices and resins, but this year I’ve felt a sort of melancholic draw to violets, and a craving for powdery scents that feel clean, white, and soft like freshly fallen snow. I love this one. Like another reviewer said, it’s a lot like Lipstick Rose, but to me it’s better. Fuller, brighter, less rose and more violet. There’s a beautiful depth to this one, I think the ambrette really adds a lot. The only thing I don’t love in it is the pepper. This house is doing something really beautiful with reviving their old formulas. I love the art deco bottles as well. I got their discovery set and I’m excited to try every one of them.

It's perfect. The kind of scent I didn't know I needed until I needed it. The softest wood, the sweetest florals. Airy and clean. This liquid may as well be a huge make up powder puff that I'm rolling around on. It makes me feel like I'm backstage preparing for my starring role on Broadway. Or a geisha sitting in a garden. Or a grown ass woman who's so sophisticated even her make-up smells good. After about 20 minutes the scent transforms into something that resembles clean laundry and lipstick, while still retaining its make-up opening. I just wish this wasn't a gazillion dollars, or I'd be spraying it all the time, slipping into my powdery wonderland.

Very nice Lipstick fragance. Very similar to Lipstick rose by frederick Malle. It is powdery, with a very pleasant iris and Violet and a lovely and very subtle rose. At the same time It is sweet, with a smell which is between the los Lipstick bars and a chewie gum,and all the spices give ti the fragance a special and differencisl character. The aldehides gives some airy vibe and freshness to the fragance, making It It softer and very weareable. Probably more femenine according to the traditio al traste but i LOVE It for myself. I only had a sample of this for test. I cannot bring myself to throw the empty tester away because I have a sneaking suspicion I will need a full bottle. I love powdery fragrances and I probably don't need another but this one really stands out - there is a brightness from the bergamot and aldehydes and the softness from the ambrette musk mallow so it never smells like baby powder. It always smells sophisticated, refined. Really love it.

My perfect lipstick scent from composition and quality I find it more outstanding than Misia or Lipstick Rose.

It is a graceful powdery fragrance. It is not heavy. My favorite of the line.

Blush+ lipstick You have to give this perfume time and it will impress you. The first time when I tried it I didn't like it because the first few minutes did not please me. I dropped the discovery, I remembered when I wanted to get rid of this sample. It was as if it is a perfume from another era. A very vintage powder at first and quite sinister. But very quickly arrives the lipstick we also smell the rose. It doesn't stop here and we start to feel a spicy and hot side, it's the red pepper that's bad for it. It will follow with a very sugary violet. This perfume is a chameleon, it evolves and each time we learn new things about it. I imagine a woman of the period with her powder wig, but who has a lot of blush and lipstick. The spices do not let this perfume turn into a dry powder, it intervenes at each stage.

این عطر در شروعش بوی دلنشین زنبق رو برای شما به ارمغان می آورد بویی همانند لوازم آرایشی ولی از نوع گران و لوکسش بوی گل لادن بسیار محسوس می باشد گرچه در نُت های عطر ذکر نشده ولی کاملا قابل حس می باشد . کم کم رایحه ی عطر به سمت صابونی شدن می رود . یک رایحه که نه می تواند بوی غالب لوازم آرایشی را ایجاد کند و نه رایحه صابونی غالب کاملا کنترل شده حرکت میکند و مواظب است که مبادا با خوشحال کردن طرفداران یک سبک بو، طرفداران سبک بوی دیگر را از دست بدهد. عطر هم تلخ هست هم شیرین هم ترش هم پودری و هم صابونی هست اما آنقدر خوب کنترل شده هستند که یک رایحه مشترک یا یونی فوق العاده خشوبو و دوست داشتنی رو به ارمغان میاره . بعد از نیم ساعت معالات به هم میخوره و عطر رو به شیرینی میره که کمی هم تلخ هست در کل عطر خوب و خوشبویی هست و البته کمتر تکراری

Not surprising with notes of powder, violet and iris that this falls in the trend of lipstick-inspired fragrances, but it does it so well!! Too many of them are sweet or too heavy on the rose. This is most like Replica Lipstick On, but less waxy - that one always makes me think of whale blubber. I think it's the clove that keeps it from going sweet, even though the note itself isn't pronounced. The ambrette is definitely noticeable and keeps it soft and sexy, because otherwise the powder is heavy, but I like that way. My favorite of the Volnay line.

Powdery goodness. For some reason the combination of notes gives me a touch or hint of honey. The sweetness feels like smelling pollen, nectar. I think this makes it not as ethereal, which is good in this case. It’s a feminine, pretty perfume.

As I first dab it,I smell loads of heavy lipsticky powder.I can say there's violet iris and rose without knowing it's notes and strangely I like it but it doesn't last longer than a minute and is replaced by something unpleasant to my nose It seems like two notes show up and cover all this powdery goodness.one of them is aldehydes which I normally don't dislike but the other one is something that's not mentioned here.I can pickup leather or maybe it's an unlisted labdanum as someone mentions below.I don't like the combination of soapy aldehydes and dirty animalic note.but thanks god this stage doesn't last long either.after five minutes that leather or labdanum or whatever it is leaves and aldehydes calm down and I'm left with a gentle, gorgeous powdery scent Drydown is a combination of ambrette,musk and a hint of soft vanilla with all powdery florals and powdery notes.it's not as powdery heavy as the opening and I like it alot but not enough to decide to buy it.I prefer to look for a cheaper similar fragrance but if you're into makeup powdery perfumes and don't have budget limitations,volnay perlerette would be a nice choice.it's pure face powder and lipstick, of luxurious brands.after first ten minutes it's very balanced,feminine and likable and there's nothing to ruin it's soft powdery heaven.it's longlasting but after first hour it's almost a skinscent ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ تو شروع با یه رایحه سنگین پودری-رژلبی مواجهیم که کاملا مشخصه ترکیبی از زنبق،بنفشه،رز و نت های پودری هست اما خیلی زود دوتا نت خودشون رو نشون میدن و عطر رو برام ناخوشایند میکنن.ترکیبی از نت های آلدهیدی و چیزی شبیه به چرم یا لادن یه رایحه صابونی کثیف رو بوجود میاره که خوشبختانه بعد از پنج دقیقه محو میشه و چیزی که برجا میمونه ترکیبی لطیف از گلهای پودری،مشک ملو و مشک و وانیل هست که کاملاً یادآور بوی لوازم آرایشه که درعین حال بسیار لطیف و خانومانه و دوست داشتنیه.ماندگاری خوبی داره اما پخش چندانی نداره.درکل بجز چند دقیقه اول،دوسش داشتم

I love the “lipstick violet/rose” scent profile generally, but this one didn’t work for me. There is a heavy stuffiness that brings it down into maudlin, caked-on make-up territory, whereas I prefer a frothier, fruitier kind of violet where the ionones go to your head like champagne bubbles (Drole de Rose, Insolence, Lipstick Rose, Iris Crush, Pourpre d’Automne) while still keeping harmony with the creamy lipstick accord. I like it much better in the late dry-down as it gets rosier, but something here reminds me very personally of...sweet glue. Evaluated on its own terms, it’s by no means a bad fragrance, just not my style in this hair-splittingly specific niche I spend a lot of time dwelling in. Perlerette helped me understand what others mean when they say that Nest Golden Nectar smells like lipstick; I think the vanilla and ambrette are featured in a similar proportion here. Perlerette smells a lot like Golden Nectar applied to a violet bouquet. I still need to get my nose on Misia! Edit: Realized later that this smells a great deal like Putains des Palaces as well!

This is very similar to misia but I like this one better.the only downside is the sillage is only skin scent and doesn’t last as long as misia.this is what I expected misia should smell.it’s smell like a truely lipstick scent from the opening and turn powdery like a compact powder type it’s very comforting just like a mom hug mostly in a very dry down.must be the vanilla even though I’m not a fan of vanilla notes. This is not a dated or old fashioned type of fragrance to my nose.this perfume had to be placed into one of my top 5 perfume on my list.this is successful blind buy and I expected to love it by looking on the notes. If u into lipstick and powder scent like me this is worth trying but don’t expecting sillage and longevity to be great but I don’t mind to reapply. the bottle is gorgeous too.worth the price ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

I absolutely love the soft, powdery Iris in Perlerette...but the longevity of the fragrance leaves much to be desired....at that price, it should last longer. If you spray it on your clothes, it does stick around longer. The iris in it is exquisite. It's beautifully composed. A classic for an elegant evening out.

Perlerette was made before Chanel Misia. Perlerette is the original, a more balanced and harmonic composition. Misia is almost the same fragance with the addition of a fruit accord. Olivier Polge, I got my eye on you.
