Green Datura

A creamy green cherry-blossom-like scent with the tiniest hint of clean vanilla tobacco/hello kitty eraser from the 1980's. This review is based on the scent of my lotion and candle. I haven't owned the perfume, but I wish I could still get it. It is such a pretty scent.

I thought perhaps I may have been too hard on this one, so I tried it again. The interesting thing is the notes seemed to have reversed on this testing. The opening notes are fresh/crisp green, tart refreshing apple, and light floral. It’s fresh, summery, and very nice. Next I got the “heavy” floral. That’s the only way I can think to describe it. It’s not bright/loud, it’s sweet, heavy, and too much. It seems as though it is meant to be a summer scent but the heat doesn’t do the floral notes any justice, it’s overpowering. As it progresses an “earthy” element (patchouli?) lingers in the background. I realize it’s perfume oil and is very strong but I’d say this would benefit greatly from further dilution. I think that if it was slightly toned down it would be fantastic.

This is very lovely and fresh. I really don't get anything sweet from this...I can't really smell the apple note in the fragrance. To me, this an ideal summer fragrance because it smells fresh and clean and doesn't really overpower. I have the oil roll-on and I just roll it once on my wrist and it stays all day. Let me also say that I abhor powder in fragrances- I cannot handle it at all, even in the drydown. This has no powder in it whatsoever. It is smooth and linear all the way through.

When you first put this on, it's so strong it's overpowering (It calms/fades quickly though). Sickly sweet floral but then it mellows and some almost green notes as well as crisp fresh fruit emerge and you are left with a pleasant floral and fruity scent w a very light hint of powder. To me, this is only suitable on hot summer night.

Green yes, datura not so much. It opens up very heady, but give it a few minutes and this is all about green apple on a soft floral base.
