Classic Mimosa

What a delightful, delightful fragrance! This one opens very dewy and fresh, I can definitely smell the green notes and some violet, and then quickly transforms into a wonderful, breezy, yet polished and mature mimosa. The sillage is just beautiful, I sprayed just three sprays (of which one to my hair) from a sample (generously gifted by the Fragrantican whose review is right below mine, thank you Antonia!) and the perfume warmed up beautifully on my skin and spread around me like a soft, powdery aura. I think I smell some of the rose too and later on the fragrance fades to a warm musky vanilla base, but the dominant impression is indeed that of a wonderful and indeed, classic, mimosa. I think this fragrance would make a great everyday scent for the "coquette" lady who likes a very perfumey perfume, yet wants to keep it moderate and respectful of others' noses and tastes, or it could be the formal choice for a lady who is more on the casual side, but wants something to amp up her femininity now and then. Like the votes reflect already, this one has great longevity and, imo, a very long and gradual transition. There are no sudden switches or turns, the layers kind of peel very gradually so one can't tell "oh, we've hit the drydown, now I can smell this and that". Lovely perfume and I will cherish this sample and wear it in days that require this kind of a mood.

Classic Mimosa used to be my go-to perfume, it's a bit feminine but wearable in any occasion. It is very long lasting: I used to wear this on a daily basis but I really didn't use much of the bottle. One or two sprays are enough for the day. It's a green floral perfume but it has an earthiness and softness that makes it quite distinctive. On my skin the evolution is interesting, from a green mimosa with a wet soil feel to a creamy vanilla floral.

Classic Mimosa is probably my least favorite from this line. Von Eusersdorff's take on this ingredient is green, light and enhances the transparent aspect of this flower with a not so pleasant marine/aquatic accord. The mimosa is paired with a violet note which seems to dominate the fragrance throughout with a sort of misleading result. Quite long lasting but not particularly interesting. Rating: 5.5/10

Classic Mimosa is a very fitting name for this fragrance. It opens up very powdery with mimosa and violets. Neither too sweet, nor too harsh, classic but not old-school, very proper and ladylike. As it dries down, it changes to a softly sweet vanilla and warm musk scent with the powdery florals only in the background. There are two very distinct phases to this fragrance. It's very inoffensive and doesn't project much. Would make a nice daytime fragrance for spring, if you're into that kind of thing. I'm quite neutral towards both violet and mimosa and I only tried this because I got a sample with a purchase, but if you love these notes, it's worth a try.

Weird, I got a shoe-polish like leathery harsh opening. Maybe some petitgrain can do that? Then a bit creamy feeling comes out, slightly reminds me of heliotrope but not nearly there. It raises the curtains for the star of the show--mimosa, a tender green flower. Later the aquatic note got more potent, with a fresh-pea-pod like edge. I can also sense tea-like neroli again in the dry down.
