Luminique

I have waited patiently for the fragrance that will transform me into a Human Dryer Sheet to fall into my lap. Isn't it funny how you find what you're looking for in the oddest of places? Yes, it's true that Luminique opens bright, a little aldehydic, and somewhat alcoholic. The soju note is prominent but very short-lived, and more fruity than it is boozy. The citrusy essence, which I can only assume is meant to be lychee but is not particularly distinguished on my skin, is also fleeting within mere minutes. What this quickly settles into, though, is a gorgeously fresh, floral, white musk dream. If you buy laundry detergent that smells like "clean linens on a clothesline flapping in the summer breeze" or whatever, Luminique is your girl. This smells like Snuggle Fabric Softener's dryer sheets in the scent Blue Sparkle with slightly less warmth and musk and a hint of something vaguely fruity. I once saw someone online say that LaCroix tastes like drinking sparkling water while someone yells the name of a fruit in the room over... the same principle is applying here. Luminique smells like sniffing warm laundry tumble-dried with a Snuggle Blue Sparkle dryer sheet while someone yells the name of a fruit in the room over, but they are speaking a different language so I don't know what fruit it is. It's not melon, and possibly not even lychee. But it's a fruit. Let it be known I am getting off dryer sheets for good once this box of Blue Sparkle is done, and I also use paper straws and reusable shopping bags and stuff.

When I first sprayed this, 10 min later I thought this may be my new signature scent 😍, until an hour later when it was completely gone 😭. Initially it is the perfect combo of fresh and fruity and a little sweetness, but it literally lasted an hour and then I couldn't even get a skin scent out of it. So sad, because the fragrance really is beautiful 🙁

So on a test strip I grew to like this scent, a fresh fruity scent that feels easy to wear, not overly sweet but I couldn’t make out exactly what fruits I was smelling. I do agree that I got the dryer sheet aroma that someone previously mentioned in a scent strip but this didn’t come through for me on skin. Ok my skin it’s not bad but it leaves me with the scent that reminds of a soap in airport bathrooms. I can’t fully explain that but it’s just a generic mixed fruity smell. It’s not offensive it just leaves me with that image lol this is ultimately a no for me.

I just bought it, and it has a really interesting scent. It contains soju. It has a sharp scent like rubbing alcohol, and although the notes say it has lychee and melon, it doesn't really smell like that. Instead, it mainly has a sweet berry scent. Whenever I smell this watery-fruity scent, it reminds me of hair tonic or perm solution. It says it has ambroxan in the base, and it has a strong woody scent similar to amber or oud.
