Comme Un Gant

That nostalgic feeling when you're a teenager again, and driving home from the beach where you spent the day playing volleyball and swimming. The car is playing Red Hot Chilli Peppers, and it's one of the last years when no one’s hiding their phone yet, just staring out the window. The smell of snacks and biscuits fills the car while you enjoy the smell of sunscreen evaporating from your overheated skin. Then there’s the unmistakable scent of a car’s interior warmed by the sun: slightly powdery, faintly synthetic, almost plastic-like. Strangely enough, the coconut and vetiver transform this familiar scent into something unexpectedly pleasant, making it seem more like an indispensable part of the memory.

What a beauty! I’m currently loving everything with sandalwood, especially this one... maybe because It includes most of my favourite notes as well. Milky sandalwood perfectly complemented by spicy cardamom, while coconut and vanilla add a soft, sweet touch. A fresh, creamy scent that brings you away to tropical escapes yet feels like home—cozy, familiar, and truly your own. Fits like a glove! The longevity and projection on my skin are more than satisfying. Definitely gets a place of honor in my collection.

This is the most realistic coconut fragrance I've ever come across. It's not synthetic or overly sweet in the slightest, it smells exactly like a fresh, real coconut.

On my skin, the milky (lactonic), woody, vanilla, coconut, and cardamon notes really shine through, which I am a big fan of. Reminds me of a sweet, iced chai latte or Bigelow Tea’s Toasted Coconut Almond Bark Black Tea when brewed. I don’t really pick up on the powdery notes, I’ve paired it with a floral/earthy body butter (Witch Baby’s “Graveyard”) which I feel emphasizes the woody notes a little more, and it does not disappoint. Not too overpowering, the scent lingers close to the body but leaves a pleasant trail in your wake. At a distance, the vanilla and coconut are the most prominent, but when close up the spiciness becomes evident. This is a lovely perfume. Sweet but not too feminine. It has definitely grown on me since my first spray.

I really like this one. It does smell slightly synthetic to me. The vanilla and coconut leave a creamy drydown. Softly reminding of whipped cream or raffaelo. 🥥 As a cardamom lover i have been disappointed though, it could be stronger for me (or my skin is eating it idk). Warm and a little spicy, all in all a good fall fragrance! 🍂

The coconut’s nice at the beginning. But it quickly fades away and the scent turns into one of those modern woody vanillas you can smell everywhere.

Always true to its guiding principle — fragrances built around natural raw materials — 'Voyages Imaginaires' offers us a sandalwood-centered perfume. And what a success it is! Oh yes, I can truly feel the quality in this juice. Sandalwood is one of the notes I’m most familiar with in perfumery, and here the work is re-mar-ka-ble. Incredibly soft, the sandalwood is neither too milky nor too dry, but twisted with what seems to be an oily coconut milk, sprinkled with spices and vanilla beans — releasing a wave of warmth in this creamy white universe. To me, it’s one of the most beautiful sandalwood perfumes out there! I’m even considering selling off some of my other sandalwood fragrances — which are far less lovely — to make room for this one at home. It brings me such comfort! Don’t walk past it without giving it a chance on your skin. A paper blotter could never do it justice!

I think Comme Un Gant is a really nice perfume. After a spicy and fresh opening thanks to the cardamom, it settles down as a delicate, warm perfume, with a creamy but not overwhelming sandalwood, with the exact pinch of coconut, somewhat powdery, slightly sweetened by the vanilla and surrounded by something cereal-like that makes it a little gourmand to my nose. It is a perfume with a moderate-soft sillage and a duration of about 6 hours on my skin. Despite its high price, it seemed to me one of the most comforting, intimate, delicate and balanced compositions that I have tried around the sandalwood note and it is a perfume that, if it were not for its short duration on my skin, I could consider having when I finished other sandalwood perfumes. Scent 7/10 Longevity 6/10 Sillage 6.5/10 Quality/Price 3/10 Versatility 8/10 Packaging 7.5/10 Would I buy it again? I didn't buy it

Dang, I had such high hopes, but on my skin it smells like you added cardamom to milk then scalded it on the stove. The sandalwood comes off very lactonic and unfortunately smelling like scalded milk isn’t my jam.

For me it is one of the best sandalwood scent ! Spicy, creamy but not so much, enveloping. True beauty !
