Tea & Rock'n Roll

Those who have been to South East Asia might be familiar with the ever-ubiquitous ice lemon tea, usually made with Earl Grey tea and a heaping of sugar syrup. I wouldn't say this fragrance is a photorealistic rendition of that — real ice lemon tea has far more sugar — but it's close enough to evoke that familiar memory and taste as I smell it. As with most citrus, it doesn't have startling longevity or projection, but I do notice it still on my skin eight hours after spraying. The initial spray is very much a gummy green tea leaf scent with refreshing, juicy citrus accents, but it dries down a little sweeter and subtler. Now, much later, I get a little bit more of the tonka bean and not much citrus at all. Other reviewers are right; I don't really get the rock 'n' roll in this one. Good for the spring and summer when the weather is hot and you want something cool and refreshing. This is sweaty tank top, flip-flop tanline, humid summer day vibes.

It's fresh and lovely - I really like it a lot but how come rose is not listed among the main notes? Thetea effect here is achieved through quite a powerful rose!

Wonderfully green and juicy bergamot with a slight spice to it. It disappears way too soon to warrant a full bottle for me unfortunately.

The opening smells like putting your nose into a tin of Earl Gray loose tea- heavy on the bergamot with a nice, rich tea black tea. As it dries down, the bergamot softens so it smells like a cup of brewed Earl Gray. It's sweet, but compared to a lot of modern gourmands, the sugar is pretty tame (which I think is a good thing). Unfortunately, this scent lasts as long as it takes to savor a mug of tea. Like other reviewers have said, there's nothing "rock and roll" about this. But I'm happy about that- I love tea, especially Earl Gray, and I want to smell like that, not tea with fig or leather, or oud or anything else that detracts from the calming simplicity of a good cup of tea. If this lasted longer, I would buy a full bottle, but I can't justify the price for something so ephemeral.

You have to wear this a few times to get the full effect. The first time i wore it I experienced it as a sparkling, refreshing tea scent with citrus and green notes. Clear, cool, perfect for hot weather. The second and third times I wore it the deeper, leathery facets of the maté came out, giving the rock n roll vibe of the name. It makes the perfume more interesting but I actually preferred this without the leather notes. To my taste they just muddy the clarity and the glow of this perfume. With the maté coming in, the fragrance is more of a transitional season wear than it is suitable for hot weather. Tea & RocknRoll lasts 6-7 hour on skin and has arms length sillage.

tea, but not much rock'n roll. photorealistic interpretation of an iced black tea with citrus and 70% sugar; for anyone who has has mixue's lemon black tea, it's that exactly. for people who have not, it's the sort of artificial citrus black tea without any milk that you can get at boba shops, or like those black tea drinks that you can get in plastic bottles in asian supermarkets. somewhat 80/20 split between being juice and tea. personally i find this quite nice, sweet but not too cloying for the summer. a good alternative to more basic summertime fruity or citrus scents, although if you're wearing this in asia people might just think that you smell like mixue...

Lovely light tea fragrance. Starts with strong bergamote and reminds me of smelling my tea jar with loose Earl Grey tea but in the drydown it continues being aromatic with the addition of a light smoky note. Sits close to skin and would work perfectly as a fresh, clean scent for work, a hot summer's day or after a shower. The smoke keeps it in niche territory.

A fresh bergamote tea. Perfect for spring and summer. This perfume is 100% natural and based on organic wheat alcohol. 100% unisex. So elegant, a British touch my darling! Perfect for office, very easy to like this perfume. Very good quality of ingredients. 9/10

It's nice ! Nothing to write home about, but it's a nice, fresh tea scent. I other commenters mentionned, nothing rock & roll about it though.

Very pretty, light tea and bergamot scent. Perfect for summer days...not sure where the rock n roll comes in, TBH. Nothing rock n roll about this one. I think, for what it is, it's way overpriced. It really reminds me of one of the tea perfumes by Elizabeth Arden, not sure which one. And you can get those without shelling out a boat load of cash. It's a bit more refined than Arden, but don't believe anyone would notice that closely. That said, it's very pretty, great for the office, and I can't imagine anyone objecting to it. It's not a powerful performer, a very cologne/toilette type fragrance, as most tea scents are. Plan to reapply multiple times a day. If you like lighter, fresher scents, you will like this one, if you don't mind spending the money for it. I will pass.

I would put this perfume in line with Memo Winter Palace and Floraiku Levitating. I do think this is a lighter option of the 3 perfumes, with a stronger citrus presence. I think this is the least expensive you will find of the 3 too- even at a discounter. This comes off as a creamy spiced tea... very pretty, easy to wear, and cozy. I do love it, I have a couple in a similar style so debating if it will be redundant for me. If you don’t have anything similar I would highly recommend recommend this scent. Overall a comforting but not too heavy yummy tea scent. I find this to be totally unisex, not leaning masculine or feminine!

This is light and pretty. Too much citrus for me and not enough tea. Also, I fail to get anything daring or rock and roll. Again, I have this sense of the marketing has little to do with the fragrance. They would be better off to not try to sell a rebel idea with such a soft, intimate perfume. The price is very high. I am sure the ingredients are quality, but this isn’t for me.

one of two samples i picked up in late spring when i had been sick for months and was emotionally fried from a lovers quarrel that would never end. i wanted something easy and pleasant and that didn't nauseate. tea for the simple herbal quality, rock & roll because thinking about cleveland ohio brings me peace

Smells EXACTLY like the natural organic bug spray my family uses in the summer. The tea scent is a much stronger in the opening, but after an hour or so I'm just left with Bergamot/Citrus on my shirt. Lasted approximately 4 hours on my skin, but 7+ on my clothing.

this is bad very synthetic & lemony, only not acid but sweet; like lemon candy covered with sugar. also, which part of this exactly is supposed to be a rock'n'roll one?
