Sun Ræ

My hot-hot-day summer scent! Absolute zinger! The ginger and turmeric add some bite - perfect to cut through those searing days. The citrus is refreshing and vibrant. This scent smells like dazzling sun rays in the clear, deep summer blue sky. I feel energised and uplifted every time I wear this - without fail this brightens my day every time I spray. Longevity on me is 4-6 hours, with an intimate to near moderate sillage. If you’re looking for your ultimate summer scent, this is it. Another lemon forward scent that is similar is Blanc Polychrome by ADesOrs and I can wholeheartedly recommend Sun Ræ over Blanc Polychrome. BP is also very lemony but it leans quite “floor cleaning product” for my liking. Sun Ræ is not house cleaning product at all. It smells lemony but in an intentional cologne/perfume way. I would say Sun Ræ is perfectly unisex, and for reference I am female in my 30s (but I wish this fragrance existed 10 years ago!!)

Oh my...I love this scent. Outrageously citrusy but the spicy side is just lush! I can see myself wearing this right through the summer into autumn (and beyond). Dont expect a scent which announces that you havw arrived - but enjoy your own self smelling devine for a significantly impressive time. Full bottle is in the post!

Great spring/summer wear. First you get the turmeric, with a blast of ginger and lemon. Nice uplifting, but it turns into a warm citrus scent, because of the sandelwood and musk. Like it, easy wear, decent performance for a freshie.

This house is very transparent, I liked that. In the first spray and the 10 seconds that followed, I could pick up cardamom, citrus, black pepper, vetiver, juniper and musk. And a zingy spice I couldn't quite place. Then when I checked the notes I was really happy to have nailed it because it truly is what it is. This zingy thing I mentioned is probably the turmeric and ginger duo. Juniper wasn't listed though, but I'm picking up something very similar. The scent sort of shakes you awake, slaps you into consciousness (not in a bad way). And again, it has that natural feel. No "sunlight/sunshine" for me, it's more like being among juniper and maybe pine trees (I'm not fully sure), in the shade. I'm a bit picky about vetiver. This scent to me wraps itself in vetiver with every passing moment... and warms up towards the end. Beautiful, nice but familiar. I can't quite figure it out, it felt like it resembles Byredo's GW, but it's colder and more successful than that one. I couldn't love GW much because it warmed up too much. This one caught me off guard at first. The opening has an unusual green-spicy quality that I initially struggled to place, but once you recognise the ginger, turmeric, and cardamom, it starts to make sense. What begins a little strange softens nicely into a subtle, earthy, gently spiced scent. It’s calm, slightly grounding, and quietly pleasant rather than showy. On me it wears a bit more softly than Free 00, but it’s still something I enjoy wearing — just in a more reflective, low-key way. This feels like the kind of scent that’s perfect in the travel size that I have: a satisfying, thoughtful, well-behaved 'sometimes' reach.
