Luce

LUCE, 2025 by @wait.botanicamente I want to start by saying that this perfume changes a lot between the summer and fall. In warmer (euphemism to say very hot) weather, the orange blossom was way too sweet and syrupy-dense, covering most of the notes, and the vanilla was way too prominent. But today, in colder weather (15 to 19 Celsius), I got the best from Luce. I am so enthused that I decide to write this review. Luce is a limited release of the Italian brand @wait.botanicamente inspired by the work of the Japanese renowed architect Tadao Ando. (he designed Punta della Dogana Museo in Venice, Italy). True to its name, the composition really conjures light (luce is the Italian for light). Like many perfumes that take inspiration from architecture, its aims is to bridge nature with culture, in the specific case, nature with design. Like an architect refunctionalize a space, here the light is seen anew as pure emotion. In fact, Luce's allumionus heart is a very classic and well executed French bouquet of rose, jasmine ,and ylang uplifted by bergamot and neroli. This heart is uplifted in the opening by a mixture of energizing black pepper, some bergamot, and a hint of anise and nutmeg to keep things interesting. It then transform into the coziest of ambers, but without being too cloying. It is as if the light connects with the ground, the fossiles, a sensation I get from the use of a very clean patchouli. the most beautiful soft warm anise with a delightful background of cozy vanilla and medicinal love. got this as a sample with a full bottle purchase of cuvee skin from a lovely gentleman and am struggling not to buy a full bottle of this. if anybody is selling it, pls lmk, if i ever get it, ill prolly leave a better full review
