Sunlit Sensations

I keep trying this brand as small rollers that come in my Ipsy bag and appreciate the ethical part: vegan and non-animal tested. This was the best one so far and a dupe for Tom Ford Soleil Blanc and Jennifer Aniston Chapter One. It lasted longer than expected, a nice surprise. I get salt, vanilla, and a hint of coconut, no patchouli at all. I'd buy a bottle if I wasn't already backstocked on this scent. A great pick-me-up on cold winter days and of course lovely and clean in summer too. Can't tell if it is cologne, EDT, or EDP though.

I first discovered Wakeheart earlier this year through sponsored posts of this particular collection on my feed. The simplicity of the bottles caught my eye, but i was hesitant to buy because it was a new brand and i couldn't find any in depth, unbiased reviews on their fragrances. The reviews I've seen were from people who were big fans of Ethan and Grayson Dolan and they didn't really get into the notes and how long it lasted. It was mainly"I love the Dolan Twins" and "This smells so good and last all day" type of reviews/unboxings videos. I still couldn't find a in depth review. I got impatient and figured i should take a chance and purchase one of their fragrances. Fast forward several months later, i came across a good deal on eBay and Mercari and was able to get two of their fragrances for less than half the price + free shipping. (Awesome, right?) Another reason i was hesitant on buying their fragrance was because Wakeheart never advertised the concentration of their fragrances, nor is it listed on their website. I don't know about anyone else, but I'm strictly a eau de toilette and up type of guy. I asked numerous of times on Wakeheart's Instagram posts and could not get a response. And it made me wonder "Why won't they tell anyone the concentration of their fragrances?". It was extremely odd because I've never known a fragrance brand to do that. It wasn't until after i purchased two of their fragrances that their fragrances were in a eau de cologne concentration, and i found that out from a Ebay listing that displayed the fragrance information on the bottom of the bottle. Now for some people, eau de cologne fragrances last just as good as a eau de parfum. But for me, I've never owned a eau de cologne fragrance that lasted more than an hour. Upon first spray, i get a blend of Vanilla and Sea Salt. The Sea Salt note is a bit strange, but it quickly changes as the Vanilla blossoms. After 45 minutes, i can detect a hint of Freesia, but the fragrance is still dominated by that Vanilla and Sea Salt blend. To my surprise, I can't detect any Pomelo or Patchouli. But even with those 3 notes, the fragrance was very different and nothing like I've smelled before. I got a good 3 hours on my skin with this fragrance and barely 2 feet of projection, which is a lot better than i was expecting from a eau de cologne. After an hour and a half, it sits closer to my skin and can't be detected unless someone is close to you. Overall, Sunlit Sensations is very likeable and easy to wear. It doesn't have that wow factor, but i can appreciate it being a unique scent. As advertised, i do believe it can be worn by men and women. Fortunately, i did not pay full retail price + shipping($49+) because i wasn't sure if it'd be worth it, and honestly, it's not. Even though $49 is not a lot of money, but I've gotten a hell of a lot better for less. But they do have a discovery set for those who want to sample without committing to a full bottle. Scent: 6/10 Packaging: 6/10 Performance: 4/10

This is a very non-offensive vanilla fragrance. It is light, not seductive at all, and definitely unisex. I could see wearing this in any situation and in most seasons. This fragrance did not blow me away, and I would not repurchase it. However, will enjoy it while I have it. Could be a great gift for someone wanting to try fragrances for the first time.
