Cornovii

Transported straight to the Mediterranean. Bright, juicy with notes of pepper or Frankincense. I can imagine how Cornwall merged with the Mediterranean through these trade routes, the olive leaf extract smells almost mouth-watering. I had many compliments wearing this one, especially so when it is raining outside and we are all dreaming of an escape. It lasted after 2 showers, up to 24 hours. My Cornish friend loved it, explaining her parents house where she grew up looks out to sea, the sea is bright blue and sparkly in the sunshine.... I guess like the Mediterranean.

I saw Nicola's article and was immediately tempted. Being Cornish, it seemed rude not to try Cornovii, which is interesting. I do not detect the mineral or metal accords, or they have not come into focus yet. The bay leaf, alongside the sweet fruit, is reading as saffron to my nose. My first comment to my husband was 'this smells like saffron buns', a staple of the Cornish diet. He is Cornish by marriage (had a hat and everything) but he definitely liked Cornovii and has his eye on some of the others in the Celts line.

A simple, straightforward fragrance without any ambition to be unique. Unsweet, aquatic citruses, a tart pomelo note, and a cool touch of bay leaf. On my skin it quickly loses its mineral edge and turns into a rather generic summer scent
