Incenso Nobile

I've tested Incenso Nobile quite a few times, but mostly in cold months. In a cold day, it's very elegant, smart and formal scent with dominant vetiver note + some paper. In the men section in our forum here I even recommended it to all lovers of Encre Noire line, because it gave me similar dark woody vibe with a little smoky-green touch. And I thought I've learned enough about Incenso Nobile to say – Yes, I like it a lot and I want it. But today “like” turns to “love” :)) In my town it is very hot - something about 33°Celsius /90°Fahrenheit and without any reason I decided to test again Incenso Nobile - WOW! WOW! WOW! In the heat this is completely different scent - it's way more complex, warm, seductive, creamy and a little bit sweeter with lovely mystical smoky vibe. In some way, it reminds me the idea of YSL M-7 Oud Absolu or Zadig & Voltaire This is Him!. In a hot weather Incenso Nobile got the same wonderful smooth woody vibes with warm smoky-resin undertone. Incenso Nobile proved the idea that some woody/incense/oriental fragrances reveals their character completely in a hot weather, despite the common rule to use them in the colder months.

This was a blind buy for me, due to the information given above on what other perfumes this reminds of: Tumult pour homme, Wonderwood by Comme des garçons, two woody favourites of mine. When this came I was very disappointed: extremely herbal and harsh and I could not find many of the nice woody notes in Wonderwood. But after having used this for a while now, not every day but now and then, I have changed my mind. This is a scent you have to get used to. And as Deetron says below, ‘like’ has become ‘love’, for me ‘dislike’ has become ‘love’. It is very herbal but it gives you a distinct feature, reserved in a way, it is quite linear even though there is a development to a more sweet and musky dry down. This does not offend anyone, it does not penetrate in a clumsy way but it radiates! It is a distinction of herbal, clean and soft woody scents.

For me Incenso Nobile is unisex. I (female) have been wearing it for about 3 weeks now and it feels great - elegant, not too sweet and very long lasting.

Purchased a bottle because someone said it was like Perfume Sucks (Black), it isn't really, but as Perfume Sucks is hard to obtain here I gave it a go. I was delighted to find this was a very wearable scent. It's not aggressive, but not weak, a lovely blend of woody spiciness that quietly wafts throughout the day, gaining nothing but positive comments from folk around me. I'll be using this quite a bit in the Summer.

Liturgical incense with some fresh sweetness given by the berries at the opening. I can really sense pepper and cardamom here, with rich notes of warm, resinous and enveloping woods. It’s not a dark gothic incense, quite the opposite. This smells like a mass held outdoors surrounded by trees
