Emotion Essence

Love, love this, not love on the first sight tho cause it reminds of citronella candles, it's floral, it is 'light' but very prominent and intense, last for long, reminds me of Versace Dylan Turquoise...l prefer Emotion Essence cause it's way more out there,and last longer. Friends rarely compliment me cause they know Im not a person that cares about it but they still did compliment me on this fragrance and l was kind of shook cause even though it has grew on me l have still found it very simple, plain citronella sent. If you want to smell like citronella candles or you like Dylan Turquoise definitely try this one, but I think it's a safe blind buy in general.

This starts off with quite a blast of alcohol, powdery florals, fruit and patchouli. These notes gradually give way to more gentle sweet florals and musk. At every stage it is very well balanced. The lilac is the most obvious floral note. Jasmine is not obvious and certainly not indolic at all. Longevity is good. Not as "in your face" as most fruitchoulis. That said it does remind me a lot of Oriens by Van Cleef etc especially early on. It becomes more like Franck Olivier original as time goes on minus the vanilla. I also have the body lotion which is lovely. I cannot notice the patchouli in the lotion. I can see this being very versatile in terms of the kind of folks who would like it and the kinds of situations it would suit. I give it a very strong like but not quite a love but that might say more about me than the perfume. My loves have to have that smack you in the face unforgettable quality. This one is just too polite for that.

Impulse blind buy because I can't resist anything by Weil. Unlike their classic perfumes, EE is light and musky, and very trendy in a good way. I don't get the apricot, rather a lot of musk and florals. There's more peony than lilac, which makes for an unusual combination. EE is light but surprisingly long lived. Work safe because it's sillage won't knock anyone out, feminine and clean in a very pretty way. The bottle is very attractive with it's modern and yet feminine design. Usually I don't care for fruitchoulis, but EE is quite lovely.

I blind bought this fragrance after buying Suki Essence by Weil which is gorgeous and a love scent for me. Emotion Essence is just a like for me. It's a nice fragrance but I pretty much can only smell the patchouli and rose on me. It's a plesant scent but not unique like Suki Essence. That being said I enjoy wearing the scent. It's soft and cozy.
