Greedy Essence

Straightforward, juicy, fruity vanilla/tonka oud, which I find very enjoyable, as I do with every Weil perfume I have tried and owned to date. Both peach and apple are prominently noticeable, along with the vanilla/tonka combo. The oud is very subtle, well behaved and may be a good introduction for those who have yet to take the plunge. A joyful, simple fragrance for everyday use, longevity and sillage both moderate. All round - an excellent bargain.

It is warm and sweet and may actually verge on too sweet for some. There is something juicy about it, the fruits, jasmine and vanilla are the strongest notes I can detect. The rose is non-existent all throughout. There is also the appearance of oud , it is somewhat mild here but it's definitely there. The dry down is a nice soft vanilla with hints of oud. The lasting power is surprising, I sprayed it on before bedtime and 7 hours after I could still easily smell it. Sillage is also decent, the first spray is strong but it toned down within a few minutes. The whole effect of the scent is both exotic and sweet.

it is a good one... sprayed without awareness of the notes, oud stands out most, however, it is not your in-the-face oud but more of a tamed, earthy, nearly patchouli like oud. Actually, first I thought it was patchouli. This earthy element whichever it is in reality is countered with sweet honeyed fruits/vanilla and some lemony sourness intitially (wouldn't say it was peach tho , more like red apples) I see it's appeal, if you like fruitchoulis this is nearly unbeatable price and smells really good quality.

I was hoping this scent was going to be a little heady with the balsamic and oud notes much like Suki Essence by Weil but on me it isn’t, so I’m a little disappointed. It’s still a nice soft scent with the fruit and sweet notes. It has a bit of a citrus note on me and it’s not overly sweet so it’s a like for me and at $12.99 I have no complaints but won’t purchase it again unlike Suki Essence that I also got for $12.99 and would pay the $50 plus on line for it because I love it that much.

very feminine! i like how this sits on my skin. it smells very oud and sweet. the vanilla scent is there, but i kind of expect it to be there more.. but! this is okay, i like this for daily use and sometimes before bed.

The worst Essence Weil parfum, still have all of the others, but this i straight gave away as l got it. It's super powdery,and it opens with synthetic strong rubber smell...l could describe this as a powdery floral scent sprayed over basketball...very very disappointed, wolud definitely NOT recommend. *Suki Essence ...also don't get the hype about it, it's really good if you want to smell like a pure incense, wolud definitely recommend Elizabeth Arden- 5th Avenue Royale over this, its much more complex, has incense note ,it's smokey and leathery ...lovee that one, price is the same, at least in my country. *Emotion Essence- love, love this, not the love on the first sight tho, it's floral, it ist 'light' but very prominent and intense, last for long, reminds me of Versace Dylan Turquoise...i prefer Emotion Essence cause it's way more out there and last longer

Purchased today for $12.99 as an "almost" blind buy (had to check Fragrantica reviews before taking the plunge, LOL!). Based on notes and reviews alone I did take this home and sampled. It starts off nice and fruity-woody, mellows out to a safe office scent, which is what I was hoping for, since many of my frags are 'heavy-hitters". I'm not sure about the staying power, but the initial scent which was so sweet, went quickly to an inoffensively soft, but sweet musky-woody skin scent. Would I purchase again, yes, if it was for the same price I bought it for. I cannot see paying the prices I see on Ebay $50+ dollars and up. Can't say it is worth that. Update: after having worn it overnight, the next day it still lingered and not in a good way. I wondered what was I smelling that was making me kind of queasy like overripe fruit with a chemical, fake smell and realized, after smelling my forearm where I had sprayed the previous night, I surmised the smell was emanating from "Greedy". I gifted it to a family member.

This is a very powerful perfume at first. It starts with a fruity slap that soon reveals a slightly powdery rose. That fruity part, despite only being listed apple, peach and tangerine as its notes, also reminds me of red fruits and is maintained throughout the development of the perfume. Especially at the beginning and for half an hour I also smell a menthol background, I would say that it has some patchouli. In its last hours, it smells like a perfect mix between tonka bean, vanilla and a soft oud. It has a strong projection for the first couple of hours, more moderate after, and a duration on my skin of about 8 hours. It is a perfume that I have liked and that has good performance for its price but I have not completely fallen in love with it so, after having used a 5 ml decant, I will not include it in the collection. Smell 6.5/10 Duration 8/10 Sillage 7/10 Quality/price 8/10 Versatility 7/10 Packaging 7.5/10 Would I buy again? No

This opens with a 2000’s apple note and as it develops, it blossoms into something special. The middle of it, bursts into creamy red berry vanilla with what I imagine when I think, “lactonic”. It’s not gourmand, it’s like if a 2000s fruity celebriscent was made into a niche. This is unique but familiar in a way I wish more people would pay attention to. It’s got a crazy low price tag, yet doesn’t have any screechy or headache inducing cheapness. Greedy indeed!

I absolutely can't wait to sample this when it arrives from Mercari (along with my vintage bottle of EL Knowing!!) I'm not very experienced with oud scents, but I love my Suki Essence, so hoping this will be another "love." Will report back, of course! Might be too much oud for me. I'm still testing this and I don't hate it but I haven't been enamored yet.

In the forum, there is a long-running “cheap replacements” thread. I submit that Weil Greedy Essence could be a cheap replacement for Tauerville Fruitchouli Flash! I know patchouli isn’t in the notes listed, but they are definitely similar-smelling and both gorgeous!
