Kipling

It contains the masculine character of the late 80s and 90s, but in some intelligent way! There is no exaggeration, no intolerance ... it is more than just sniffing people's odor receptors, what is this? Interesting fragrance, as if I had long been somewhere ....;) For me, most of all, a sweet and lavender chord is decisive in it, but that's why the smell is more complex !! In the base, the "Leather" is the most widespread part of the dying, but at the same time, there is a strong aroma over it, which makes me feel very special! In fact, this part of the deodorant was even more characteristic and dominant !! I love it! It gives the impression of a little "old-fashioned gentleman", but in a sympathetic manner and while somehow modern and exciting! I do not understand why it was lifted ..... I met a lot more boring scents every day in the drugstores and they buy the men !! Please reset this scent of Weil !! Nothing is impossible !! Kipling, I think, is going to stop today! The maximum score is evident for Kipling and I'm very happy to find it on Ebay and sometimes I can feel this scent on my own !!! An Indiana Jones movie quotes my head from the first episode when Belloq says: "Indiana, we are simply passing through history. This, this *is* history." Well, so I think of Kipling as well. :)

A bold yet suave aromatic, Weil Kipling has such a radiance on my skin like the autumn sun filtered through tall pines—and sillage to match its radiance. The opening is artemisia and conifer bliss, joining the ranks of such beauties as Yatagan and Devin. However, Kipling is not quite the provocateur of its contemporaries, it hums mellifluously, is genteel, laid back, and earnest. In other words, it isn't a beast. It is not a powerhouse but rather a cottage where one retreats. A gentleman's sensory panacea. Nothing is sharp, all is round and full. The heart is a carnation boutonnière flanked by celadon oakmoss and scented geranium leaves. Don't be mistaken, though, this is as far as they come from a skin scent. Kipling makes its presence known, and thank goodness for that. After several hours, it remains lovely, mostly dusky leather and sweet musk with whispers of pine and carnation. A dreamboat of a fragrance.

@NSL...Thanks. I picked up this juice without any hesitation, I knew this old school juice was a well made fragrance. After spraying it on my skin I pick up a herbal blast of lavender, juniper, artemisia and oakmoss with a warm/sweet tone of patchouli and musk. The heart of this fragrance is carnations giving this juice a warm lively vib making it ABSOLUTELY STUPENDOUS! Longevity and Silage is excellent lasting well past 8hrs..it keeps going without it fading away. Finally thoughts, This fragrance is perfect during the fall /winter months. A very sophisticated full body juice. Excellent for evening wear..a very masculine aroma. I was so lucky to find this frag...if you want an old school aroma you won't be disappointed. I always recommend you try it before buying it incase it doesn't work with your body chemistry. Definitely worth it...8.5/10

I like this one a lot. To me it's very similar to Xeryus by Givenchy, but Kipling is woodier, dryer, less sweet. Elegant and subtle.

Weil Kipling is an absolutely beautiful fragrance. My buddy JJ Colbourne (alphairone) nailed it in his review.

A really well balanced fragrance. So well that loss a bit of personality. Was born to be a classic and it is by sure. But with that name we were attending something more aggressive, cutting, savage. A jungle. This is sweet smooth and balmy. The soul of a writer in front of a paper into a house maybe. Very pleasant indeed. It has its little magic. Oakmoss musk carnation bergamot and leather and artemisia are the prominent notes. Well is very nice at the end. Calm sweet. remind me Pancaldi a lot. And a bit Davidoff classic.

I see it as Smalto with more spices — a vintage cocktail version. But if you focus, the spices have a clear profile, and overall it reminds me of something drier like Antaeus or maybe Aramis. Perhaps a note from Balenciaga PH? But yes, it’s primarily in the Gucci Nobile or Smalto family, just in a “Parfum” concentration that brings it closer to something like Aramis or another older classic (Pour Lui, Xeryus?, who knows).
