Passion Essence

I can't believe that this is the only review so far! When I blind bought this. I noted straight away that this was a dupe for a fragrance that I was after for a while but was a bit out of my price range. And that is Angel Le Gout. Well Passion is very, very close to the discontinued Angel Le Gout, for a fraction of the price and it practically performs the same. So if you like gothic, dark, bitter, coffee and cocoa. Then this beauty will fit in your collection nicely.

I want to try this, but it looks like there's only one bottle left on Earth, for 4x the price it debuted. I am SO curious about the Palo Santo note, a favorite type of incense! Got lucky on a bargain bottle and will update soon... Coffee notes are my latest obsession. This is nice! A dense sweet white floral, with some gorgeous woody incense. I get no coffee. Seems like it gets swallowed up by the patchouli. I like the sweetness and woodiness levels in Passion.

It's cheap, airy sweet and long lasting, I like to layer it (lately with Cloud by AG) and it's worth the (tiny) price. I almost do not smell any coffee thou, and patchouly is quite soft, as a well blended perfume it has no note taking over the rest, it's just an easy going bouquet.

I bought this last year and forgot it promptly I really liked the other Suki essence (yellow bottle) that I have now lost to my stepdaughter who wears it whenever the weather. So I joped I'd love this one too. Now this one I can't state if it smells like another perfume. I'm not sure if I'd personally recommend it as a blind buy but reviews on other shopping sites I'd say 70% liked it. It can be a little harsh and strong on me. Not much coffee, which was the main reason I bought it as I was craving coffee notes. And citrus is fleeting. However like a spaghetti bolognase, you know onion is in it but that onion smell does not stand out and the perfume is the same on me here. I don't smell coffee but the mellowness of the note is there, also the same with the floral notes too. It starts out harsh on me, but softens. I'm wearing this on a 14C mid morning, and lasting power isn't the longest to my nose. I like it but I know it'll be put back and not used for a while,as I can't imagine where to wear it, I don't think its sporty, sensual or office. But I think it's a well made perfume and very reasonable price for 100ml bottle and to be fair, looks great with its coloured glass.

I have just bought it and I am satisfied with it, it has a moderate longevity, 4-5 hours. This is not so unique and intoxicating as Suki Essence, it is more of a creamy, white flowery, almondy scent with a sweet base. Patchouli is not as prominent as I expected, it has a rather spicy-woody-sweet base. Citrus notes will disappear after 15 mins, which I am not so happy about...However, it is worth the price, for me it is 8/10.
