Weil Le Parfum

Warm, spiced citrus; Le Parfum draws you into its sunshine and this will be an essential wear in Summer. The main notes here are the orange and bergamot, with vanilla and tonka as well as the floral notes. Not too much patchouli, although it is there, it doesn't overwhelm. Overall, the fragrance is rich and creamy citrus with some considerable spicy depth to it. It is very beautiful and sunny; a real mood-lifter and all-round joy! I own several of Weil's perfumes and love each one; this one is no exception. As the review already states below, great price and pretty bottle too! Highly recommended.

Nice bottle. Great price. Decent sillage. Really good longevity (up to 8 hrs). And fragrance being a... second Coco Mademoiselle edp. What's here not to like? ;) Seriously, this new Weil's release is a twin to well known Chanel hit. Either it has been done on purpose or just by pure accident (yeah, yeah...) I can imagine this new fragrance will stir a hype comparable to Suki fame. I have found my bottle in TK Maxx, a 14,99 Euro blind buy. It simply couldn't have gone better.

There's marmalade stickiness under the citrus, and I've smelled it in other fragrances. It blows off with the top after 10 minutes. Must be the particular molecule. It's not sickeningly sweet, but not aldehyde fresh. Le Parfum smells airy in projection, however. I've mixed it with jammy rose fragrances to arrive at a plate of mixed Turkish delight. The bottle is pretty to look at, but boy is the golden cap cheap. It feels and sounds like the cheap plastic it is. And the atomizer jets the liquid - no mist. It's a bargain perfume that would be at home in a sunny corner of a cheerful souk. Still, I have a lot of inexpensive summer freshies so this has a place because it's quite sunny and citrusy, yet unique and has a lushness. Certainly not a watery aquatic.
