Narcotic Elixir Extrait de Parfum

Narcotic is an apt name: this fragrance is so addictive that I can't stop sniffing the small sample bottle I received along with my purchase. This is the first ever perfume I bought for myself - as all previous ones I got as a gift from family or friends. So I had the ability to pick exactly the one I wanted. I told the seller at the store that I'm looking for something "non-standard and unique" (since all my perfumes feel kind of standard and don't stand out) - perhaps something "deep" or "woody" or "smoky" or "rugged" (since I'm not well versed in the lingo yet). He showed me "Lucky Charm" by the same house, and it felt too weak and too "standard" for my taste - and then I tried this one and fell in love. It is extremely pleasant - and I found myself relishing every chance whiff I got of it while wearing it. I cannot describe it well so I'll do the best I can: it is very distinctive - the top notes a very "purple" (i.e. i wouldn't call them "warm" nor "refreshing") - like an exotic fruit or flower (but from a rainforest rather than from some island). Then the lower notes are indeed very woody / smokey - like liquor and/or luxury furniture - perhaps like a high-end bar at night. After reading a bit (and comparing it to a other fragrances I smelled at the store) - I think the fruity essence I'm smelling is a hint of cardamom - but it isn't the dominant scent - instead it merges with the other fruity/flowery notes which I don't immediately identify. I wish I had more words to describe it. It gives me associations of maturity, sensuality, darkness - and it lasts a very long time.

What makes it even more special is that it’s a birthday gift to myself—and I feel incredibly lucky to have found it. Its scent is so extraordinary that I’m genuinely surprised all perfume review YouTubers have never talked about it. Honestly, it almost feels like a "crime" in the perfume world that such a masterpiece hasn’t received any attention at all. If you're looking for a perfume with outstanding quality , this is definitely a must-have!

I went after the reviews, reading how different and narcotic this perfume is. It cost quite a lot and once again I received confirmation that it is good to check before buying. It is an intoxicating perfume and in which I smell a heavy rose, found in another perfume. Being so heavy in aroma, much in the rose and patchouli area, it tires me. It is beautiful, it has its charisma, but it seems too rich and heavy. Narcotic suits it perfectly. Not for me though. I love Ganymede, that says it all. So, Narcotic will become a nice gift for someone close to me
