Leather Rose

This is a fragrance that NO ONE else will be wearing so if you are in search of a unique or singular statement fragrance and you really, REALLY like a sharp, biting leather note (this is a real honest to goodness raw cowhide smell) then, look no further. It's linear, not much development from opening to heart to base. You get leather, wild (really) wild rose and what to me smells like pine. The pine note is there all the way through- Fragrantica is listing sandalwood but this has no type of woody creaminess about it. You get a very raw, heavy leather that is surrounded by a rich wild rose and pine. This is the initial BIG blast. Be warned do NOT spray heavy, 1 spray only on neck for outdoor wear and 1 spray on chest for indoor wear. Warning, more than 2 or 3 sprays will choke you and a large dinner hall out. If you are in for a long day, wear this because it will definitely last. As the piney note begins to fade in the 6th or 7th hour, you get a faint trace of patchouli and as it nears the 9th hour, you finally get white musk entering the scene. As the wild rose begins its late, late retreat, the overall composition becomes INCREDIBLE. YES, this fragrance smells its absolute best in the very late drydown. This is when you get a smooth rosey suede with a cool light musk that is imho one of the best scent bubbles that I've experienced in a long, long time. If they could figure out how to deliver the very late drydown over the first 9 hours of this wearing then West Third Brand would easily have one the best leather floral oriental fragrances on the market. As it stands, unless you are willing to spray light and isolate for the first 5 hours of wear and then head outside or to your social event, then this is a fragrance you may only want to wear for selfish reasons and selfish pleasures. bon chance
