Covert Musk

I've always loved A Lab on Fire perfumes for their diversity and uniqueness, this perfume seems to be right up my alley...I can't wait to smell this perfume. I have several A Lab on Fire perfumes, and I hope to buy them in Europe.

Sophisticated clean musk, what a treat. Smells both timeless and futuristic. Sparkles mid-way into the drydown. Discreet but refined presence. Layers beautifully with Musc 25 if you'd like an extra oomph.

The acacia makes me sneeze on initial spray but the dry down is super subtle with a pinch of sweet. Me but better. Love this. Definitely a hot weather perfume.

Pure powder. Starts like an average powdery scent from the 00s. Than dries down to a hotel soap. The hotel is not the cheapest but still.

Sweet powdery honey musk. Kind of similar to flower by kenzo

Hmm this was not what I expected and I’m honestly disappointed! I thought surely the honey with the ylang ylang would create a rich, sweet and slight spicy experience uplifted by fluffy musk. But in reality it’s very headshop esque - dusty, musty, a bit sweet yes but mostly sour. Definitely unisex. Could see this working for someone who likes those sweaty/dirty nuances but not for me. Sits super close to skin and longevity is weak but not nonexistent.

This is fine. Probably pretty nice if you're really into clean and powdery musks. Softly-honeyed floral baby powder vibes, but not overwhelmingly powdery. Wearable, inoffensive, but kind of boring for my tastes. I just ended up putting something over it a couple hours into the wear and now I can barely tell it was there at all.

Received this as part of the WWDIS Discovery Set. It's a light, airy floral musk with a little more presence than Monoscent G, though still very much a subtle fragrance. The projection stays close to the skin, creating a soft personal scent bubble yet every so often I catch gentle wafts of it drifting around me. It's understated rather than shy, rewarding those who come a little closer. Like a few others in this collection, Covert Musk carries a strangely familiar vintage character. There's something about it that reminds me of a fragrance or personal care product from years ago but I can't quite put my finger on it. That sense of nostalgia adds to its charm, making it feel comforting, familiar and quietly elegant.

This is so nice and call me crazy, but this reminds me so much of Bruno Acampora’s Musc edp. It’s softly spicy to me, almost clove-y, like the Bruno Acampora. But where Bruno Acampora Musc is spicy and earthy-fungal (mushroom), this Covert Musc doesn’t have that earthy fungal component. But I think they are siblings and will appeal to the same noses.

Hmm I can’t smell any of the honey or florals. All I get is something that’s very powdery, though not 100% like j&j bay powder. I’m going to give it a few more tries to see if I can pick it up. It’s not bad, but I see this more as a layering scent than a standalone. Maybe under my other WWDIS scents.

I think this smells like a baby product I cant put my finger on. I get just honey and musk. Something vaguely play-do and waxy lip balm. Its comforting. Smells like a teacher I had in nursery school who used go play with my hair so I could fall asleep at nap time.

The dry down of this is IDENTICAL to Mugler Over the Musk. I instantly knew it smelled familiar and compared the two on each hand for hours. They are the SAME.

thank you @Catmo. I have been trying for ages to get my nose on Mugler's Over the Musk. I just smelled and bought Covert Musk without knowing the similarity.
