Messy Sexy Just Rolled out of Bed

This messy sexy beauty starts very similar to What We Do in Paris is Secret, but then it takes a completely different route: it becomes a warm, caramel-like (or even pudding-like) vanilla. Something in the heart of this perfume really reminds me of Zadig & Voltaire This is Her, but that moment doesn't last long and the perfume continues to take its own, different routes. The scent is very familiar, it smells like something we encounter often around Christmas, and this is the main reason why I'm not sure if it's worth this kind of money. Yes, it's different from most other vanillas, it has optimal amount of sweetness, and it's not as heavy as some vanillas can be. It has the aura of a soft blanket while it's snowing outside - actually, white is the colour that best describes this perfume. But there's an X factor missing for me to give this amount of money for it. Aside from that, longevity isn't so good. It could be that we met on the wrong day, when my skin wasn't resonating good with it, but it is strange that a perfume of this caliber doesn't last more than 5 hours. I'm willing to test it again and give it another shot, but not before next winter. I'm under the impression that it won't "breathe" well in higher temperatures, so I'll take time :)

Some perfumes have poetic names. Some have clever names. Some have fascinating names. And some, like Messy Sexy Just Rolled out of Bed, have eloquent names. How more appropriately would someone had named a fragrance of cashmere pajamas, dried roses, sweet breath, melted toffee and sweat? I just can't imagine of a more suitable name for this sweet, mischievous, lovely creation. Messy Sexy Just Rolled out of Bed opens with a sweet blast of vanilla and heliotrope, with a touch of sandalwood, which is quickly overshadowed by sweet, intoxicating amber and spicy tonka bean. After this, a soft but dark and spicy rose comes in, quickly followed by musk, until it all settles into a bed of cashmere wood. Nothing new, nothing groundbreaking... Just a sweet, lovely, comfortable and quite familiar scent. Strong resemblance to Zadig & Voltaire This is Her! I like it.

Heaven in a bottle, airy, sweet and intoxicating. Undeniably likeable I would imagine. There are gourmand elements with the toffee and vanilla but it remains light and fluffy. It seems to stay relatively close to the skin but in combination with its sweetness, I think that’s party of its charm. I imagine this to be worn with a 2piece cashmere lounge suit for a movie date night at home with a loved one. The ambery essence here is reminiscent of stellar times by Louis Vuitton but in a much gentler and less balsamic form. It is similar in it's wearable lightly sugared subtlety to Gentle Fluidity Gold. I love this.

This is def one of my favorite scents in my collection. It's simple...yet so so beautiful. All the notes are so well blended to complete perfection. They only thing is on the votes for notes i get something a little different on my skin. So I mostly get the peach blossom, with toffee and some vanilla, then I also pick up notes of heliotrope(lightly), cashmere wood & Amber. That's about it. But either way it beautiful. They notes do an elegant dance of merging and trading places, etc. I will always try and keep a bottle of this expensive beauty.

This is a very sweet, indeed, kind of scent, but I don't mean this in a bad way. It doesn't overwhelm me or those around me. The vanilla is not nearly as hard hitting as, say, Tahiti Vanilla Farmacia SS. Annunziata. This one's Inspired by Marilyn Monroe, and attempts to capture her dual nature of breathlessly sweet/sexy. I find it less unisex than What we do in Paris, but it would work its magic on most who aren't afraid of making a more than understated yet no too too much over the top flirtation with the world.
