Messy Sexy Just Rolled out of Bed

This messy sexy beauty starts very similar to What We Do in Paris is Secret, but then it takes a completely different route: it becomes a warm, caramel-like (or even pudding-like) vanilla. Something in the heart of this perfume really reminds me of Zadig & Voltaire This is Her, but that moment doesn't last long and the perfume continues to take its own, different routes. The scent is very familiar, it smells like something we encounter often around Christmas, and this is the main reason why I'm not sure if it's worth this kind of money. Yes, it's different from most other vanillas, it has optimal amount of sweetness, and it's not as heavy as some vanillas can be. It has the aura of a soft blanket while it's snowing outside - actually, white is the colour that best describes this perfume. But there's an X factor missing for me to give this amount of money for it. Aside from that, longevity isn't so good. It could be that we met on the wrong day, when my skin wasn't resonating good with it, but it is strange that a perfume of this caliber doesn't last more than 5 hours. I'm willing to test it again and give it another shot, but not before next winter. I'm under the impression that it won't "breathe" well in higher temperatures, so I'll take time :)

Some perfumes have poetic names. Some have clever names. Some have fascinating names. And some, like Messy Sexy Just Rolled out of Bed, have eloquent names. How more appropriately would someone had named a fragrance of cashmere pajamas, dried roses, sweet breath, melted toffee and sweat? I just can't imagine of a more suitable name for this sweet, mischievous, lovely creation. Messy Sexy Just Rolled out of Bed opens with a sweet blast of vanilla and heliotrope, with a touch of sandalwood, which is quickly overshadowed by sweet, intoxicating amber and spicy tonka bean. After this, a soft but dark and spicy rose comes in, quickly followed by musk, until it all settles into a bed of cashmere wood. Nothing new, nothing groundbreaking... Just a sweet, lovely, comfortable and quite familiar scent. Strong resemblance to Zadig & Voltaire This is Her! I like it.

Heaven in a bottle, airy, sweet and intoxicating. Undeniably likeable I would imagine. There are gourmand elements with the toffee and vanilla but it remains light and fluffy. It seems to stay relatively close to the skin but in combination with its sweetness, I think that’s party of its charm. I imagine this to be worn with a 2piece cashmere lounge suit for a movie date night at home with a loved one. The ambery essence here is reminiscent of stellar times by Louis Vuitton but in a much gentler and less balsamic form. It is similar in it's wearable lightly sugared subtlety to Gentle Fluidity Gold. I love this.

This is def one of my favorite scents in my collection. It's simple...yet so so beautiful. All the notes are so well blended to complete perfection. They only thing is on the votes for notes i get something a little different on my skin. So I mostly get the peach blossom, with toffee and some vanilla, then I also pick up notes of heliotrope(lightly), cashmere wood & Amber. That's about it. But either way it beautiful. They notes do an elegant dance of merging and trading places, etc. I will always try and keep a bottle of this expensive beauty.

This is a very sweet, indeed, kind of scent, but I don't mean this in a bad way. It doesn't overwhelm me or those around me. The vanilla is not nearly as hard hitting as, say, Tahiti Vanilla Farmacia SS. Annunziata. This one's Inspired by Marilyn Monroe, and attempts to capture her dual nature of breathlessly sweet/sexy. I find it less unisex than What we do in Paris, but it would work its magic on most who aren't afraid of making a more than understated yet no too too much over the top flirtation with the world.

airy, creamy, and jammy at the same time, somehow. heliotrope, turkish rose, vanilla, and musk are all super apparent on my skin when i spray this, it kind of loses any of the citrus on me (which is normal, my plight as a lover of citrusy freshies) i liked this fragrance from first spray, but it's continually growing on me. not sure i can justify the price point, but every time i spray the sample i fall a bit more in love. helps that my girlfriend goes crazy over this scent every time i wear it, lol.

This is a very pretty fragrance, a delicious floral gourmand. As it dries down, the florals give way to this very yummy powdery vanilla and light toffee. Something about the dry down reminds me of lucky charms marshmallows, but in a really good way. I keep coming back to smell my wrists; it's addictive. Would highly recommend getting your nose on this fragrance if you can.

I could bury my face in this all day. It’s gourmand but it’s soft, not too sweet, and sits closely to the skin. I’m in love with the toffee note. The dry down is musky and really plays into the "I just rolled out of bed" and I just naturally smell this good type of impression. It’s very powdery though, almost like baby powder so for that reason I wouldn’t buy a full bottle

This scent is so simple yet so beautiful, it is such an easy reach. It’s a powdery soft vanilla. It is sweet, but not in an overwhelmingly gourmand way. More like a tinge of sweetness. Sits closer to the skin, but has good longevity. It is very comforting and nostalgic. It reminds me of a Sunday afternoon at grandma’s house with cookies and lemonade in your adolescence.

This is so well blended it just makes me smell edible and undone. From the vial, I thought it would be a cheap marshmallow fluff mess. On my skin, it’s smoother than powder, sweet in a vanilla tonka way, both soapy (sandalwood?) and dirty at the same time. In a good way (not stank like Angel). Fortunately the sillage is softer than What We Do in Paris Is Secret.

I’m so mad I didn’t buy this sooner. This is in the same vein as Clean Reserve Skin in the way that it smells like warm, sweet, clean skin. Of course that’s if you had the best smelling skin ever. The top notes stick around and I think it’s what makes it unique. Just a hint of something citrusy/fruity along with the sweet toffee and vanilla. Love this!

two years ago I bought an almond body cream from the body shop, I loved the smell soooo much but it didn't last at all on my skin. today I just got a sample of this and it smells exactly the same as that cream; it then dries down into a delicious fresh out the oven cookie smell. I LOVE THIS!!! will 100% upgrade to a full bottle as soon as possible

“Baby burp” scent mixed with vanilla to make it more pleasing. Comforting, close to skin, easy to wear when you don’t know how do you want to smell today. I’m surprised to see bergamot and rose in the pyramid (didn’t feel even a trace of it). Heliotrope- may be, just to make this perfume more powdery. Perfect scent for staying at home and relaxing

What a dreamy scent..just the RIGHT touch of some powder, slight cream to my nose, clean, yet NOT LAUNDRY & SOAP smelling. I am blown away for real..already itching for a full bottle now that the sample has OVER delivered!! This fragrance is an easy wear anytime fragrance yet it does standout for all the RIGHT reasons🥰💞

A sweet, musky, lightly floral gourmand without being overly sweet or gourmand-y. I know that sounds like a contradiction but that's what it is. Lightly edible, but mostly musky. Like you've had some biscuits and a warm drink in bed when you wake up. A comforting scent that is easy to sleep in. I love this so much.

Gorgeous scent, definitely suited for cooler weather or a crisp spring day. Smells very similar to the "almond milk" scent from "The Body Shop" (Canadian company). Sweet and warm vanilla with a soft woody musk. The florals and bergamot make it very feminine and light and helps brighten the sweet notes.

too expensive to just write it off, will let it sit till summer to see if it really needs body heath to bloom and then I'll judge, so far I'm not impressed all I get for now is some generic deodoranty-drugstory cacophony mess, not sweet not powdery, not really anything... :/

I ordered a sample expecting that I would love it. Unfortunately, I did not, so I left it in the box with the rest of my samples. A couple months later I tried it again, and I now I find it to be amazing. I can't get enough of it, and it will be my next full bottle purchase.

very sexy. intimate and smells like the sort of "your skin but better" thing. people are saying its a generic scent but I dont agree. it smells like something you hardly could imagine smelling on anyone again. I love it

Powdery toffee, sweet but light. Very pretty and yummy. Good longevity, at the end of my work day it dries down to a slightly sweeter version of nemat white musk oil.

Powdery, vanilla, cosy, and cleanish-not shampoo or detergent clean but out of the shower with nice body wash and then vanilla lotion clean.

Suuuuper strong upon first spray, but thankfully it becomes more bearable in a few minutes. I wouldn’t know how to describe the notes, it’s like they are all mixed together, but I think I could describe it as a very vanillic amber-y slightly floral scent that takes a very cereal-y turn (which is pleasant !) Is it messy ? Not really. Is it sexy ? A bit. Is it reminiscent of just rolling out of bed ? Nope. It’s not very unique or complicated, but surprisingly, I like it ! It’s a nice perfume for when you want to smell like something but don’t know what to wear / don’t feel like wearing something over complicated. Is it worth the price ? I wouldn’t say so. It’s great for summer as it’s strong but not overwhelming and leaves a nice trail. I’m surprised this one doesn’t give me a headache ! This would be amazing for layering with something fruity, as a base scent. Overall would recommend, I wish I could try Freckled And Beautiful !

This is like a very sweet thick white cloud of sugar and creaminess. Vanilla, tonka and heliotrope are definitely very strong, but the gourmand note here is not toffee to my nose, but marshmallows and cotton candy. I do smell the bergamot, especially in the beginning it's actually quite sharp, but it's not strong enough to cut through the sweetness. Over the time it calms down and the peach blossom and warm fuzzy cashmere wood become more pronounced. But the main thing I smell is just sweetness, sugar and vanilla. Messy Sexy Just Rolled out of Bed is delicious and for sure pleasant for every gourmand lover, but I think it's also a bit boring instead of sexy. It's intense, it projects very well, but I think there are so many more interesting and overall better gourmands on the market, also for much better prices, that I would never buy this weirdly named perfume.

This is good - it's VERY good, in fact but it takes a long time to get there. The opening lasts forever and it's too sharp for me. It's comes off as being on the edge of masculine for at least an hour. When it settles down, I get all the soft cashmere-powder-sweet toffee that I love. Too bad that only lasts about half an hour before it goes down to almost nothing. I bet that on the right person, this smells amazing. I wouldn't recommend it as a blind buy for 2 reasons: price and moodiness I have a feeling this is complex enough of a fragrance to play very differently on everyone. BTW, I don't know what's up with these ridiculous prices. I am over paying so much for any fragrance, no matter how much I love it. I am so glad that I only got a sample.

This is beautiful and I'm really enjoying wearing it. It's a lovely, well-balanced floral gourmand. It's sweet and creamy, with florals that feel very pink. It lasts and projects nicely. The problem for me is that for $200 for 50ml, it's just not that unique or interesting. But that's just my opinion, as someone who doesn't care that much for sweet floral fragrances. I'm not able to smell them side by side right now, but I think this is very similar to Yara by Lattafa. Definitely more refined and complex, but it reminds me a lot of Yara. So if you're looking for an affordable alternative, that might be a good thing for you to check out.

This IS sexy, it has this pillowy air to it that definitely transports my mental imagery to something of rolling out of bed after a steamy wild romp on freshly clean sheets. It’s very sweet and slightly fruity. It has the same creaminess I detected in Freckled & Beautiful but it’s more heady in this one. I do get the bergamot and toffee straight away. It dries into the powdery heliotrope and rose (softly) and then you get that warm, voluptuous blend of cashmere wood, amber and vanilla. It’s definitely a familiar scent bot not comparable to any other perfumes I’ve smelt, if anything it’s more of a familiarity of memory.

This is sooooo nice. I'm a little surprised because out of the samples I ordered, I was expecting this to be one of the lesser liked ones if not at least smth comforting to wear for bed....but I've been wearing it non-stop since first spray!! Like @shineypokey1 said, this is very much a delicious floral gourmand (and it does kind of have that Lucky Charms powderyness). It kind of reminds me of a really nice body wash but replace the soapiness with syrup. For someone who literally cannot stand super sugary fragrances, this was a pleasant surprise and WELL YES I will be using up my sample.

This is nice but not a favorite. I definitely get the honeycomb cereal, though it's still perfume-y and not a super literal gourmand. Musk-y cashmere is next most dominant on me, sometimes reminding me of black pepper, like a static-y blanket. While there is a cozy feel, it's more akin to rolling out of bed on a summer morning than a winter one. Stays strong for at least half a day. This is very different from What We Do In Paris for me, which I think generally works better on my skin chemistry. I don't get any powder at all in Messy Sexy, though it does play nicer in the heat.

Bought a bottle but I didn't really "get it". I put it aside. One day I'm doing some DIY type work and I finish that cos I have to go out. I'm sweaty and hot, the weather's warm. I put this on and everything becomes clear - you wear it when you've exerted yourself. A lovely bloom of almond, vanilla and heliotrope, cleverly done to hijack your body's warmth and skin chemistry. It's very pleasant and no dryer sheets in sight, I was thinking of swapping it away but now I realise it's a scent that works with your own scent and the heat of your body. Ingenious!

Smells like a mini Diet Coke and almond candy... paired with a pretty face, natural bed head waves and a fake but cute valley girl accent. * This reminds me of Sora Dora Mallow but even more almond-y. Imagine wearing Mallow all day then coming home, slipping into a LESET pink pointelle pj set and hopping into bed with a crisp Diet Coke to rewatch CLUELESS for the 18,364th time. The candied almond from Mallow still lingering strongly from your unwashed wavy locks. * Also reminds me of VC&A Orchidee Vanilla with the Diet Coke type accord.

This opens very sweet and more than I can usually handle. It settles down to perfection though. You still need to enjoy gourmand though. Looking at the list of notes I was a bit wary. DR is a master so silly me. It's a heliotrope and toffee delight along with floral notes. I can't say it develops much but it is so yum that it doesn't matter. If you want to smell good enough to eat or you like comforting scents then well worth trying. I already have my Etro Heliotrope which frankly I love more. It has both good longevity and sillage.

whoever said this reminds them of fantasy by britney spears must be taking the piss lol this reminds me of princess by kilian mixed with a less sharp version of this is her by zadig & voltaire; also reminiscent of narcotica happy dust cozy, creamy, tiny bit (sandal)woody, tiny bit floral, sweet musky skin scent i do really enjoy it, though it's nothing special, and not something i'd describe as sexy at first testing; though on retesting, i'm getting more of the sexy musky skin vibe

This is very pretty, I really like it! I love how it evokes a baby powder kind of sensation with some warm vanillic nuances. The powderiness of this fragrance never feels sharp or screechy (something I feel a note like violet does) - it moreso feels like dustings of baby powder in the air. I think this would be a great option if you love powdery vanillas! 😊

First Impressions (dabber): Okay this one is very sweet, very gourmand. I think I need to try this one on my skin to truly see the notes. It’s intimate than the other ones I’ve tried. I shall investigate it more. Verdict: May want to get a full bottle.

it's a nice sophisticated gourmand. it smells a bit milky, vanillic and slighltly powdery. Interestingly it is slightly similar to What we do in paris, just without the fruity, lichee note. It won't rock anyone's world, but it's a good staple.

Not messy nor musky/animalic (which I would expect from the sexy branding), but very very enjoyable, a soft powdery sweet well blended dragee style gourmand. Similar softness sweetness and sophistication that most other Lab on fires have.

I smelled this yesterday and I really like it. It was very subtly sweet which i loved, I defiantly have to smell it again because I'm not sure if its necessarily the best subtle sweetness ever but I definitely would recommend it.

getting drunk first thing in the morning and then going out to do whatever you want. it is how it is scent of toffee–slightly burnt one. bit of powdery notes. vanilla and musk. you really just don't care

This reminds of poison girl, but a smidge less sweet and powdery. I mainly get the heliotrope, rose, and TOFFEE. It is sexy and almost casual. It’s not bad at all.

So lovely, but it smells like a candle you would use to scent your home, not yourself.

Apparently this is just mon musc a moi packaged for the European market ....
