Eau

This is an intriguing scent and my first from Who Is Elijah. The most surprising element of this fragrance is how pronounced and warm the tonka in the heart is. It wears more like a warm floral wood where you've hiked further into the earthy heart of the island rather than stayed on the coast. It's got a natural heat to it comparable to being close to the branches of a forest rather than needing to cool off in beachside waters. One has to argue this is definitely a Mediterranean island rather than a tropical one. The fig in this fragrance is intriguing and very different to some of heavy hitters we know -- Philosykos, The Noir 29, Debaser. In many ways, it's like Philosykos, The Matcha 26, Eleventh Hour, and Geranium Odorata had a baby. Equally, the pear and iris in the fragrance create another element that gives Eau an edge of its own.

Such a green fresh scent with a gorgeous drydown. There’s something about this one rather than Philosykos that I prefer on my skin personally - perhaps it’s rounded out by the coconut? Please add the other fragrances to the database!!

This one really grew on me. Also works surprisingly well in cooler weather. Bonus tip, layer with Theodoros Kalotinis Alluring Fig and you're in for a treat!

I'm wearing this now after reading that it's similar to Debaser. It definitely is and Debaser is an all-time favorite for me! This has less coconut sweetness and more potency in its green notes. That being said, it's absolutely delightful. Ordering this from the Australian site was fully worth it. Longevity isn't anything crazy but it did have a nice atomizer for such a small sample. Having a full size bottle would be wonderful but I might need to save up. Can't wait to try other WIE fragrances now!

A Philosykos/Debaser dupe - and honestly a really impressive one at that. It lends the same "crushed up green leaf" vibe along with a little sweetness and milkyness from the coconut. Not too much of a difference here if I'm honest. I prefer Philosykos, but it's whatever works best on your skin and for your budget if you're looking for a really nice fig tree fragrance. It can hold its own with the big dogs. 7.5/10

I like that you get a good hit of fresh green fruitiness from the pear and fig when it opens, and then the milkiness of the fig comes through with the coconut—soft and sweet, slightly tropical. The woodiness from the base notes give it warmth, which rescues it I think. It rests on my wrist as a soft, creamy, comforting scent.

Very nice fresh green fragrance. The green leaves, fig and coconut milk are most prominent for me. It’s blended really nicely so it’s not too bitter or vegetal. I really like this style of fragrance but unfortunately I found the longevity and sillage of this really let it down, you can barely smell it after an hour.

At first, total Philosykos vibes, thought I was onto an amazing dupe but the scent changed very quickly on my skin. Pear was dominant and then coconut took over and dry down is a smokey musk - but green. Disappointed with longevity - 3 hour experience.

I really enjoyed the green scent with creamy coconut and fig. Such a short longevity though, and no silleage at all. I had a generous spray and after 3 hours it was nearly all gone.

Who Is Elijah recently ran a promotion in which you pay for shipping only and you receive an 11 piece sample pack with all of their frags. Very generous!! These frags are definitely not the type of scents that I like. Masculine. They all run very unisex/masculine. Many of them feature oud, saffron and/or leather and those are death notes for me. Eau is nice though. It's very green. I'm not picking up on the coconut note. This is the only one that doesn't have a pickle undertone running through the fragrance. This smells a lot like Forbidden Fig by For The Scent Of It. Again, very generous to gift a free sampler to anyone who was willing to pay shipping!

Fresh Green Scent, you get a lot of the green accords in the opening, reminds me of being in the woods with a lot of greenery. Has a slight 80s abershop Aftershave feel to it. It's quite linear and I would only wear it while hiking. The price tag for this scent doesn't seem justified. I Even had other people test it out and had the same feedback. Honestly not impressed. Creativity and uniqueness - 6/10 Silage - 6/10 Performance- 5/10 Value - 2/10

I have such beef with this house. Their fragrances are all one-to-one dupes of more popular niche and designer fragrances sold at the price point of original creations. Their marketing angle of creating "scents that smell like memories" is so misleading – the only memory this bottle conjures for me is the memory of the last time I smelled DS & Durga Debaser.

The green notes definitely triumph here. If you want to smell like freshly chopped greenery, then this would be perfect (and I don't mean that in a demeaning way. Seriously, this would be the pick). Smells a fair bit like carrot juice to me as well.

Eau by Who is Elijah is a fresh, green fig fragrance that is perfect for warm weather. It wears clean and crisp, with a creamy, sweet fig accord. The fig note is further supported with a subtly sweet coconut milk and juicy pear blend. I also smell a lot of "green" notes that lend a dew-kissed garden scent to this composition. Unfortunately, this is a short-lived fragrance on my skin, with poor longevity and minimal projection. I very much enjoyed this fragrance while it lasted on my skin, but the lacklustre longevity greatly affected my overall opinion of Eau. Although produced in a EDP concentration, it wears more like an eau de cologne. In the battle of fig scents, I would probably purchase Diptyque's Philosykos or D.S. & Durga's Debaser over and above this fragrance. If I happened to own Eau by Who is Elijah, I would need to layer this fragrance to extend the longevity and amplify its projection, as worn on its own, it doesn't warrant the price tag. This Australian niche brand confounds me, as I am still trying to determine if it is selling itself as a dupe company, or if it is trying to create unique, stand-alone scents that just so happen to smell like popular niche scents, ie. Le Labo. The verdict is still out as I feel that I need to sample more from this company.

Smells super close to ultima ii sheer, which doesn't have an entry on this website, even though it was a popular perfume available in department stores everywhere in the very early 90s. I think that was the first perfume i ever bought myself. Anyhow, this is nearly identical so far. Maybe a little softer after 45mins. I was expecting something closer to JHAG Not A Perfume or Glossier You, but that's not what this is. Glad I don't have an entire bottle and i don't want to wear it again and reminisce about my middle school locker.

Green milky fig that is really nice and rich, but with screamwood behind. Didn’t have to scrub, but it was a close thing. I wish that note would go out of style, because it really ruined this scent for me. Spiky Woods/Superambers seem to be always unmarked, but wow, I can't NOT smell them. Darnit.

I like it, I just have to get past the first 20mins of wearing it. It's like insect repellent then clean fabric dried in the sun then coconutty figgy green.
