This stuff is pure joy to me. I get the most comforting feeling when wearing this, I think because the fir resin shines through in the dry down. I wear it to bed every night and cannot get enough of it,I just want to smell this and not fresh air it is that good! It has similar vibes to br 540 but honestly this is it’s own gem. I can still smell this on me in the morning when I wake up and my husband said this I smell soo amazing. I will always repurchase this, it really is special to me, the feelings it evokes is mesmerising. Truely a masterpiece. Do your self a favour and get your nose on this...or not more for me!

Everyone is screaming BR540... but this is totally closer to Matiere Premiere's Crystal Saffron. It's like 540 and Crystal Saffron had a baby but the baby looks a lot more like Crystal Saffron. It doesn't have the projection or lasting power that CS does, but I don't think it needs to. It smells elevated and chic. There's much less burnt sugary sweetness to this than 540 and a heavier dose of saffron. Saffron is the aura, subtle Jasmine and toasted amber is the closeup. It's honestly beautiful and I'd totally buy a full bottle. I'm sticking this on my want list. 8.5/10

So interesting reading other reviews noting a plastic scent, I don't get that at all! My first impression is sand and seashells, makes me picture a hot, dry desert or crunching shells under your feet at a beach. I quite like it, it's unique but not over-powering. I can imagine smelling it and thinking the person has just been to the beach or has sand dust on their skin in a hot desert.

This is a beautiful bottle and very potent stuff, but it is on the pricier side for a near identical dupe of Baccarat Rouge 540.

Very similar to cloud and cloud pink but less sweet & nicer IMO. Lasts a long time. Love this brand.

Here I am, at last, honoring this discovery set given to me by my mother-in-law. This first reference is a pleasant surprise, for a brand that seemed to come out of nowhere. In fact, it's quite surprising: on the top notes, I have a very sticky resin/soot aspect, coupled with a very light rose, and "grandmother's perfume" notes of jasmine-(extremely-light vanilla?) something. So it smells like a fragrant morning after an evening spent around a fire, a big bouquet of flowers and a silk scarf in a dark room, in a chalet, pine mountains in Alsace or the Vosges. The ambergris adds an extra touch of that little "dirty" but at the same time sexy and organic feel, and to tell you the truth, I really like the overall picture. The dry-down is very smoky/dry/smoky on the nose, reminding me a little of Silver Lightning, and I really like it. I'm waiting to see what the rest of the set has to say, but this first reference is a great discovery, which I could see myself wearing every day. If you like woody/flowery scents that are a little dark and at the same time sensual, we're in that order of emotions. On the other hand, it reacts much less well on my skin than it does on paper (it turns out to be very bile/acidic, almost pee-like, so you'll have to test it on yourself before buying).

I gifted Nomad to my husband as a more affordable alternative to Baccarat Rouge 540 (though let’s be honest, it’s still pretty pricy). I decided to take a break from my regular feminine scents and give it a whirl today. The scent hits that familiar BR territory: a warm, spicy floral. It wears well and gets compliments, but there’s no denying it leans heavily on that distinctive and now-overdone BR DNA. If you love that style but want something locally made with a bit of edge, this is a solid pick for men and women. Just don’t expect it to reinvent the wheel.

I agree with other reviewers about the plastic/rubber opening. I get that when I first spray it. I personally cannot smell the baccarat rouge dupe, when I tried baccarat rouge it didn't sit well on me. Too sweet and didn't last long. I bought Aqua Vitae Forte by FK instead for that reason. Nomad doesn't seem to have that sweetness on my skin that BR540 did, must just be a me thing. My colleague did ask once whether I was wearing BR540 though, so it must be true they smell similar, just not to me.

I totally get the BR540 comparison here. It’s got the same sweet “toasted” amber smell that one has. I also get a bit of saffron although I wouldn’t say it’s very spicy. The main difference is that I get less jasmine and rose in Nomad. To me it’s more linear overall, essentially just an amber bomb. Don’t get me wrong, it’s still good though - I’d definitely wear this for a date night.

It's a baccarat 540 dupe, not much else to say! Great spillage and lasting power, I was so surprised. Way better than 540 or any other dupe I've smelt. Highly recommend if you enjoy aquatic, 540 vibes and ambergris.

the initial smell has a strong ethanol smell, however, when the perfume has time to settle on the skin, the smell is warm, woody, and spicy.

Having read the reviews of both Baccarat Rouge 540 and Nomad, I thought I would give Nomad another go today as yesterday I was in Mecca and I sprayed BR 540 on a test card, so I wanted to compare the two (disclaimer: I have not as yet tried BR 540 on my skin). Nomad is far from being my favourite WIE scent, and I only have it as it was part of a 10ml discovery set which I bought. The first thing I smell when I spray Nomad on myself is an oily, burnt rubber smell (I get the same with WIE's Wall Street and MM's By The Fireplace). The drydown is slightly less obnoxious, more of a sickly sweet toffee scent, with an undercurrent of musk (which seems to be a signature of WIE fragrances, and which with some of its offerings, such as Muse, I quite like). Thankfully the longevity of Nomad is only moderate. My initial impression of BR 540 was an infinitely lovelier version of Nomad, with no oil or burnt rubber. I placed the test card on my desk and I was smelling the fragrance all evening. I have now placed the card in my lingerie drawer. Would I ever buy BR 540? No, because I can't afford it, and even if I could I simply couldn't justify spending upwards of $300 on a perfurme. But I wouldn't say no if someone offered it to me as a giftt!!! As for Nomad, I think I'll give it to my daughter and stick with WIE's Haze, Her/Her and Rebel Rose for winter.

I have had a sample for awhile and I change my mind. Yes this is a BR540 bandwagon concoction, and no I wouldn’t buy a full bottle. But, the woods and fir resin give this a point of difference. You have to spray a decent amount of this on to get the full experience but it’s a nice subtle, chic skin scent that gives you a hint of the appealing factor from BR540 but also is pleasantly dry, almost leathery and kind of fresh. I kinda like it.

An ok fragrance. I know other reviews say it smells like baccarat rouge, but I haven't smelt that, all I can say is it smells a bit like incense (I guess because of the wood notes), but not as much as the others from the discovery set. It's better than most of the other fragrances from this brand though (because most are bad). A regretful purchase from an overhyped and overpriced brand.

First sniff I thought baccarat rouge dupe- disappointing That fades after a second as did most of the sweetness. The iodine note most people complain about with BR540 then dominates. Otherwise it’s mildly sticky plasticky and a bit smokey like tree sap. It’s very weak and hard to detect and overall quite underwhelming Barely smells of anything and then fades to plain wood

if you have crystal saffron you frankly do not need this, as the former is better and stronger; I won’t repeat my review from there! in defence, this came first before CS!

7/10, interesting. Kinda woody and forest-y. Also, I got this (and other perfumes) in a Who Is Elijah advent calendar and accidentally tore it open on day 2. Oops.

Initial spay it smells like Baccarat Rouge then it quickly turns into something reminiscent of cat poo! If you have ever smelled cat poo you will know what I mean. I received an 11ml of Nomad and Electric Soul free with an order of Rebel Rose (which I actually do like). Nomad is a big NO for me and as for Electric Soul...it starts out sweet and sticky on my skin then dries down to a musky spice. It's okay, just okay, and I wouldn't purchase either one of them! I think the intention is that you layer them together? I tried that and there was an improvement but, overall, still a big NO from me -very disappointing!

These reviews have me so confused. It doesn't smell anything like BR 540 to me. The first few min the scent was very offensive to me. After that it dried down to a very woody scent, not unpleasant, but not something I want to smell. It's very woody, mossy, and earthy with the slightest hint of a floral. It smells like hiking in the woods.

I work in personal care and the smell of this reminded me of changing dirty diapers.

Immediate br540... Then it transforms into that pungent nursing home scent. Darn!!

Has the BR 540 DNA but honestly it smells like Baccarat Rouge with Bad Breath. Smell and I promise you, you will laugh and say the same thing. Smells quite synthetic and the middle notes of Ambergris and something green is just way too overpowering in the dry down. The positive was that this had a decent opening but with the dozens of BR clones, I'd give this a miss considering the price point.

Was so excited to try this after reading the reviews. God was I dissapointed. It honestly smells terrible on my skin. Like an old musty room that has been used as a toilet. On clothes its less piss smelling sure, but still has that very musty sweaty pissy earwaxy smell like all the BR540 dupes have on me.

To me this isn't a BR540 dupe, it's completely missing the sugar/burnt sugar vibe which is my favourite part of the fragrance. To me this gives me fly spray and melted plastic, thank god the fragrance doesn't have any staying power. This is just my opinion and how it sits on me.

This is sickeningly sweet. Reminiscent of candy with woods, and a hint of diaper underneath. Imagine walking on the hottest day of the year, thirstier than you’ve ever been, and the jasmine is blooming and you catch a whiff and want to hurl. That’s this.

This is rank. Don't waste your money. I feel like one of those old men who reek of overly strong cologne that makes you feel nauseous. Can't wait to get home and scrub it off 🤮🤮

Hubby decided I needed a $180 au bottle of cat piss/ old middle eastern - european lady perfume for Christmas. Really wish I could tip it down the toilet! .

I can smell predominantly only the wood and the fir resin. I don’t get any of the sweeter notes, what a pity. So for me, it goes in the give away basket.

Smells like medicine and the elderly/dying. While the scent elements replicate BR, it's nothing like it. Different chems entirely.

Burning rubber, spermicidal condoms, dirty diapers, unwashed toilet, and herbal medicine. At this point it should be arrested.

Nomad by Who is Elijah is yet another Baccarat Rouge 540 clone. I do hope that BR540 perfumer Francis Kurkdjian is cashing in on all the fragrances that are flooding the market that are inspired by or are blatant copies of his original 2015 release. It almost seems unfair that other brands are generating wealth off the back of his hard work. Immediately after applying Nomad to my skin, I knew I had smelt this DNA before. The fir, saffron, syrupy sweet amberwood and cedar blend is very distinctive, and can only be attributed to BR540. As far as clones go, Nomad is pleasant but not the nicest renditions I have sampled. Nomad smells a touch metallic in the opening, and was not overly pleasant smelling on my skin for the first hour after application. As the scent settles, the sweetness becomes more apparent and the acrid metallic aroma dissipates, leaving a sticky-sweet blend of saffron, amberwood, ambergris, fir and cedar. The projection of Nomad is nowhere near as strong as the original BR540 and that's where this clone pales in comparison to other well-known clones such as Armaf's Club de Nuit Untold and Ariana Grande's Cloud. Due to Nomad's sillage being less intense than the original, I actually enjoy wearing this fragrance to sleep. I find it oddly soothing, and it clings to the bed linen scenting the bed with its sweet and sensual aroma for weeks after. Who is Elijah fragrances do have an uncanny ability of wearing longer on clothing and linen than on my skin. Due to the lack of originality, I am not overly enthused with this release, however, I can certainly see why Nomad is one of the best sellers from the Who is Elijah brand.

Okay. Time an old perfumista who undertook the Ambroxan battle last winter here Downunder...writes a review on her latest (NOT!) blind buy I LOVE THIS!!! I love it the way people fall in love with BRouge. I love it the way I can hose down with ‘ambergris’ and smugly go to the village PO and no one can accuse me of being an over perfumed eccentric old lady even though I am 😄 I sat on the sample pack that I got last year, thinking, yeh, derivative takes on blockbusters with the good old fig woody amber in everything front and centre. Yet... I nonchalantly sprayed my sample again as Summer is on the run not thinking much. And then, I found the exact ethereal leathery woody accord that I’ve been craving. I scrabbled through my carefully organised samples thinking WHAT THE HELL IS ON MY WRIST I LOVE IT. It isn’t a deliberate clone of BR. It does use the woody saffron ambroxan trope that underlays so many current favourites. A great review below notes a synergistic thing between BRouge and the glorious Crystal Saffron. Whatever they have tweaked it to perfection. However in my opinion this is its own perfume, treading a perfect trajectory and somehow absolutely doing what it says, it’s a nomad, it’s not either a woman or man, it has saddle leather and endless skies. The perfumer and the creative director just nailed this. Here I am recommending a blind buy. But in Au you don’t have to, they have good samples and travel sprays. Good o ya Aussie oi oi oi.🥰

I got this today in a Sephora fragrance edit (UK, and unfortunately we don’t get the voucher for a full size that they do in the US), and sprayed it with no little apprehension after reading the reviews on here. To my surprise, I actually quite like it! It does have a slightly odd metallic note, which I think is the saffron, but I like the almond, the jasmine and the ambers in the mid. I also like the resinous and musky qualities of the dry down. Not my favourite, but a long way from the worst thing I’ve ever smelled, and way better than I was expecting.

Within the first few seconds of spraying, this smells just like BR540. But quite quickly it fades, and smells like Coca Cola! It has that fir resin note that BR540 and Cloud have, and that is the most prominent throughout the short life of this fragrance. So yeah, basically cola with the dentist office vibe of Baccarat Rouge, and very fleeting. Basically no sillage, wears very close to the skin. It's a pity because it smells beautiful! Not FBW for me just because of the terrible performance. 100% unisex, I don't feel it leans feminine or masculine.

I reeeeally wanted to like this, I bought it and wasn’t super keen but I convinced myself that yeah I could learn to like this because it nods to BR540... nope, rubber. Sharp screechy rubber. I gave it a spritz in the staff room at work, someone came in a few mins later looked around and scrunched up their nose and said “ew wtf is that?” Threw it away.

Just got the discovery set. Smelled this - immediately thought BR540. I mean there are so many good dupes out there. Get one of those. This is too expensive for a copy of that. I can't speak to it's longevity bc I'm not a huge fan of this scent and scrubbed it off. Disappointing. Booooo.

I really liked the smell of this on paper, then the opening was a bit awkward - it smelled like crude plastic, musk and a basic citrus... then for the rest of the day all I could smell was BR540... until I realised this is an exact dupe. I will never buy BR540 but I would buy this.

This smells like beans on toast. I like beans on toast but not as a fragrance. It's barely there and definitely doesn't smell like perfume. Must be my nose or chemistry today, after trying the sampler kit.

Smells exactly like BR 540 ... exactly. FACTS . It’s an exquisite smell and clearly loved as half the country has a version of it and this is one of the best! Smells expensive rich and sexy. Beautiful

(Inspired by baccarat rouge).. This is a photocopy of bacarrat rouge 540 extrait. Why copied someone’s work???? Learn to create your own line of perfume if you want to be a perfumer. Shame!!

BR540 100% Why the lack of originality? If you love your BR540 but don't want to splash out, I'd say this is your alt bottle right here. Nothing else to say really

To me, this smells like a straight-up dupe of BR540, complete with the plasticky opening and salty dry-down. I don’t like BR540 and I don’t like this.

Meh. This one is ok. I bought it because people said it smells like BKR540 which I love... it kind of smells like it but lacks that lovely sweetness.

Smells like bubblegum and it is a good all round scent with alright projection and longevity bu is a good all year round scent 8/10

It starts ozonic in a nice fresh way but the screamy wood takes over too fast and then that's all I can smell.

Seems to be an attempted (and failed) BR dupe but for like $100 more than all the other ones
