Al Wasl

Al Wasl from the house of Widian released as a limited edition for the 2020 World Expo hosted in Dubai. It has many similarities of notes with Xerjoff Alexandria II, which is a legendary fragrance famously known for its fruity apple accord blended with woody smelling oud. I can tell you that they both are equally amazing but I find Al Wasl is smoother and natural in overall progression or smells. To simplify this fragrance is a brighter version of Alexandria II. Al Wasl is more juicier while Alexandria II is more on the dry side. And also it doesn't have the lavender that goes more masculine found in the Xerjoff one. So this is perfectly unisex. I findAlexandria II in best only for the winter while Al Wasl can be worn in both spring and winter. Al Wasl is the successor of Gold I that is already discontinued. So I recommend getting this one before it is gone 🙌 #vscentorientreview

This is beautifully done. Opens a little funky from the oud which quickly fades into the background to reveal a juicy green apple accord with a pronounced use of musk. It manages to have that dense yet ethereal quality that all Widian fragrances share. I would definitely recommend getting your nose on this.

I would recommend this fragrance to people who would like to experience real oud but a more subtle and smooth approach It’s a very good scent the opening and the mid are both beautifully made oud and a little of citrus I can’t get the apple maybe it’s a more subdued note It’s calm easy to wear soothing in its own way The powdery dry down is good but doesn’t come close to the prominent oud in the opening and mid Longevity is moderate Projection is weak and sillage is nonexistent A good choice for beginners in the oud verse

This is a very pleasant scent that I can't imagine anyone disliking.

I have a sweet and fermented start with an opening note of apple, then it switches to a powder and ends a little cosmetic, feminine and heartfelt, between a fruity, creamy and woody amber. In my head it screams evenings, furs, winter coats, musks and women with make-up. In my nose too much sweetness. too.

Weird. It's an odd mix of fruity apple soap and moldy/damp oud. Basically, acrid mothballs and old people in a nursing home that's been sprayed with cheap apple bathroom freshener. 3/10

Al Wasl is the perfume that was previously called Gold I; Widian Gold I was released in 2016 was later discontinued in 2018 and re-released in a limited edition for Expo 2020 in Dubai, a collector's piece. The fragrance begins with a fresh, crisp acidity from the green apple dipped in a juicy, slightly spicy vanilla by the pepper. It is an ambery, woody, creamy and sweet perfume without exaggeration, a very discreet white floral balancing the fragrance, the 'oud animalic and slightly smoky smoky along with green apple, amber and vanilla accompany the fragrance throughout evolution. Without a doubt this is a 'natural oud of excellent quality and without difficulty that together with musk brings a delicately animalic nuance. Delicious Amber Fruity Woody Spicy Vanilla Perfume, an excellent composition. Very sophisticated, elegant and sober fragrance; 100% Unisex.

Fruits lolipop almost no bitter whiskey on the 0°C, 32°F frigid blast exiting the premises. Pretty neat, opening gains freshness, wasn't there before, will try it out again, if that's part of the two three years maturation process sign me up for more. Smooth, guaranteed unexpected, as a Widian candy whiskey it's a complete hitter in that part of the scent spectrum, different boozy, doesn't miss a single mark and one get's the greatness double up on the drydown too, ripeness and built warmth in these situations are pretty tidy.

Opens up with a sweet, ambery oud, on the soaked & fermented side but nothing overwhelming. Quickly changes focus to sandalwood, vanilla, caramel, soapy jasmine, white musk, balsamic labdanum and dates. Unisex with the drydown leaning into feminine. Very pleasant all the way through and one of the brands less appreciated but underrated fragrances.
