Gold II

Oh my! It's my favorite from 6 samples of Widian I tried so far. At the first look at notes pyramid you would think it would be just another typical arabian scent. I even almost passed on ordering sample of it for that reason ... but when you actually try it, you would say they took it to whole new level! I would say with this gem Widian outamouaged Amouage! Despite of its unmistakably Middle Eastern pedigree, it also would be appearing even for those Western noses that aren't too crazy about oriental scents. And if you like arabian scents, this one will send you dancing and singing - and for long time, because it lasts 16+ hours on skin. Projection and sillage is enormous first 3 hours, still strong for another 3 hours, and I would say another 4-5 hours moderate. To reviewer before me, who told he can't detect any cedar in it - you probably washed it off too quickly, it becomes evident after 6 hours, and very prominent, if not dominant after 8. Could be easily used by both genders. Although it's more of the night and cold weather type, I see it used at Spring and daytime too, and even for Summer nights. Def not the office scent ...unless you're in business of seduction. Blind buy safe and full bottle worthy for anyone who doesn't hate arabian type of scents. A beautiful blended scent!! This fragrance screams quality! To my nose the main players here are the resins, the rose and powdery notes. It's also muscy, floral with some spicy woody undertones. If you try you can detect all the notes listed but it's so masterfully blended that has a unique body as a fragrance. This fragrance to me leans feminine and i would love it on a woman! Performance is really good as expected for this price range and if you control your sprays it's versatile enough. I think that it's more like a winter/fall scent and mostly on date nights or nights out. It's seductive but very elegant at the same time. If it sounds good to you give this a try!

A lovely and pleasing Floriental, this ambery scent will appeal to even those who normally do not care for Orientals. The perfume opens with elemi resin surrounded by hints of saffron and tangerine orange. The heart is orange flower and a delicate rose. The perfume settles on a powdery bed of amber surrounded by vanilla, musk and cedar. Well blended and sophisticated unisex scent that has moderate to strong projection and very good longevity. Will appeal to those who like Francis Kurkdjian perfumes. Enjoy!

Gold II is a lovely fragrance and really lasts on the skin well 12-15 hours for me but i find it falling short on sillage for me thats what lets this fragrance down unfortunately.

The ultimate old money scent that projects wealth and confidence and even a certain level of aristocracy. Being all that without trying. Interesting wear.

Gold II opens with a honey-sweet resinous blast of elemi and orange peel, and immediately the vanilla/amber/musk base is felt. After 30 minutes the scent becomes more powdery and a little less loud and sweet thus allowing the orange blossom, rose and saffron to develop. I am not getting too much presence of cedarwood on my skin so to me Gold II worked best when layered with a gentle sandalwood or oud oil. Longevity is very good (8 hours from 3 sprays), projection is medium to strong (the scent mellows somewhat after 2-3 hours) and the sillage is intriguing and mysterious. All in all it seems that the Widian juices are heading in the right direction in terms of blending and scent development and after its intense opening there is nothing cloying about the scent. Very solid. €245 for 50ml extrait.

A glorious blend of saffron, Amber, and vanilla. Totally unisex and simply a fantastic scent. AJ Arabia is quality all the way. Longevity on this stuff is 12+ hours.

Out of production now there's the Gold ll Sahara the notes are unchanged only the bottle changes slightly
