Absolutely STUNNING!!! There is no rose listed in the notes, but I definitely pick up on something that at the very least gives the impression of rose, but it’s not a strong in-your-face rose, it merely serves to complement the oud. As such, it is my now favorite oud “rose”, replacing Dusita’s Montri (I’ve yet to try Oudh Infini). This composition is more feminine than the notes would lead you to believe, I’d personally say it is unisex leaning feminine, though a man could certainly pull this off too! Perhaps it just goes more rosy/floral on my skin than it does on most others. It also has a really nice subtle spice element that is super addictive. Performance is not just excellent-it is perfect. The longevity and throw are both out of this world, BUT, it is never *too strong*, too thick, cloying or suffocating. It has an almost airy quality to it, but it’s certainly not weak either. It’s just right, the kind of perfume that will not offend or bother, but you will be able to smell it all day and on your clothes, well into the next, and anyone within your “personal space bubble” will be able to smell jt, and beyond that people will be able to catch whiffs of it, but only those who get within an intimate distance of you will truly experience it at its full strength, which is exactly how I like it ;) If it weren’t so expensive, this would be one of my most-used daily “signatures” (the closest things I have to that anyway haha) but until I manage to obtain some back-up bottles, I will sadly have to restrain myself and use it fairly sparingly. It is THAT good! I also might add that both the bottle and box are absolutely STUNNING, and perfectly befitting of the gorgeous intoxicating juice within. Treat yourself to this, you will not regret it. Especially if you love a QUALITY, genuine but wearable oud. Classy and sophisticated, yet exotic. Ugh, just perfect!

This is most potent juice from Widian black series. To me it smells classy, opulent and old school, like a library room in centuries old mansion. Definitely a special occasion, not for everyday wear, and you must be dressed up, especially if you're under 30. Rocking it with t-shirt would be almost as ridiculous as walking in snorkeling mask and speedos at the party where everyone wearing tuxedos. It is definitely unisex, with first hour leaning slightly toward feminine, but rest of the time more toward masculine side. It lasts 12+ hours on my skin. First 2 hours projection and sillage are enormous, next 2 hours heavy, and another 5-6 hours moderate. Be careful with dosage - it could be headache inducing and offensive to some. Wear it to office only when you coming to inform your boss you're quitting. After reading one of reviews below, I should add - it is NOT arabian style perfume, more like Europe meets Turkish tradition. So, if you come to it expecting to be punched in the nose with aoud, spanked with roses, and sprinkled with spices, you could be disappointed and miss its beauty. what a gorgeous scent here. Sandalwood is die for. Musk, cinnamon, cedar wood, incense...all blended to PERFECTION. This was worth the $240 I paid because a house like this knows there are fragrance connisours like me who demand the best. Not at first of course, my collection didn't happen over night, it's taken awhile and thousands of frags have been smelt. I have lots to learn, but I do know a quality fragrance and a good blend from one that's not. This is. It's in my top 5 best smells ever and highest quality ever. Try it, but I warn you, if you like any of the notes listed, you will want this. I get more complements with this than I do wearing Aventus. Very versitile while it does wear best in the colder months, but if you work in a cold office like me, who cares. Wear it. A+++ @matty64. Niche alllll the way. this is the type that leaves that shiny oil spot for awhile after you spray it. Lasts very long. But we are here for the smell and yessss it is amazing. As a 33yr old male, who enjoys the masculine oud wood intense type frags, I find this to be a little femm, but i absolutely regret selling this bottle. I would love my significant other wearing this tho. It is a true original masterpiece in regards to it smelling like nothing else out there. I enjoy the smell so much i put it my luckyscent sample order to reminisce the intoxicating aroma it has. Its very addictive. A little sweet, dry, dark inky incense but manages to have beast mode longevity and not be cloying. I highly recommend this fragrance for the smell, quality and longevity to anyone who enjoys ANY of the notes listed... on skin this stuff is a commitment tho. A++

This is one of the best sandalwood fragrances wrapped up in cardamom / incense and cinnamon. It’s perfectly niche and unisex. The longevity is outrageous long and that makes sense due to the oil concentration. It will stain your clothes so be careful. It’s not a loud projector though, can’t have it all when making art like this. One thing I don’t seem to understand is why the “black collection” is a $100 more at LuckyScent with the fancy box and slight color variation on the bottle. Is the one on Fragrancenet for $170 the same fragrance? If anyone knows please let me know. Any who , this is a banger.

This fragrance is so beautiful, I can't stop thinking about it - nor can I stop looking at the gorgeous bottle. I have tested all 5 fragrances of the Black series, and I own I, II and V. This one (I) is definitely the most unisex, and perhaps strongest (projection-wise) of the entire line. It's quickly becoming my favorite - smooth, creamy, sweet, musky, sandalwood-based scent with a slightly smoky element - not to smoky, though. It's just phenomenal. I love the entire line - but no. I just might be the best. And whoever said packaging does't matter? These bottles and boxes are unbelievable!

This is so gorgeous, look at that note break down! I will say, I thought this was going to be a bit more masculine, but this is cardamom heavy and cardamom can come off feminine sometimes. This is 100% unisex and a very unique take on incense. Do not think church incense though, this one is heavy, dusty, sweet, and an AMAZING scent. If you go to LuckScent, it will be $240 bc of the fancy black box and presentation, but if you go to Fragrance Net, it will be $180, and that is totally worth it imo 9/10.

Sensual, seductive, mystical, deep and somehow dark but...not heavy. Ethereal. This is a true masterpiece. Black I has this inky, intellectual vibe shared with fragrances like Aedes de Venustas Iris Nazarena, Amouage Memoir Man if you like those...I'm almost certain you'll love it. True beauty! It has the perfect smooth trial, transforms, shows different shades and lasts just enough that you'll love it the whole day and refresh the spell in the morning again and again!

Purchased this scent when it was still called AJ Arabia. This Scent will Give you the most obscene compliments you will ever receive if thats what you are into. To me it feels like the niche version of La Nuit De L'Homme in that stye of genre. But done so well with Cypress,Cardamom,Sandalwood, Incense and Rose. This is extraordinary. This perfume hits perfection. So clean and opulent. cardamom is smooth. The cypress comes and goes as mysterious and as intriguing a the perfume itself. Its beautiful. All the new releases, this won is a real unique elegant exotic smell. Very suitable to be considered unisex, leaning toward fabulous.

You can smell the cypress and cinnamon along with the subtle sweetness. Not sure I agree with any sof the smells like frags. This does it's own thing. It lasts. Has good sillage too. The dry down is EVERYTHING! this is sweet cypress (not cloying) and soft woods with a soft touch of woods. Overall:4.2

Beautiful. Opening leans masculine, with strong spice, smoke and wood notes. But it was in the dry down where I fell in love—all the notes are melding into each other, the equivalent of comfort food in liquid form. Widian I is an opulent, complex, unisex amber scent with impressive performance.

This is in my top 3 niche fragrances. Spectacular stuff! It would feel wrong to rate this as it's so much better than 99% of what is out there, so it obviously gets a 10/10.. but that doesn't do it justice you've just got to try it! This one is a bona-fide Masterpiece, bravo Widian 🙂

Beautiful Fragrance, amazing for intimate occasions, warm spicy, incensy, carnal. I find it effervescent in the opening, the quality is undeniable, overall the scent is very pleasing. sillage/projection could be improved. 8/10 in my humble opinion.

I get some patchouli and citrus in this, maybe rose too? Resinous, musky, woody, sweet, spicy, and aromatic. Gets more balsamic and incensey as it dries down. Beautiful, dark combination and fitting for cold weather. Smells quite feminine to me.

This perfume is AMAZING! I get so many compliments whenever I wear it. It's warm, spicy, and a little bit sweet, but not overpowering. The bottle is gorgeous too - it looks so elegant on my vanity. Definitely worth the splurge!

First impression: Lots of cardamom, lots of cedar from the get go. After that incense and other woods come into play with the top notes that are still hanging out. There's a warm sweetness that makes it comforting. This would fit nicely with scotch or cognac, a warm fireplace, and a cigar. I don't recall anything that smells exactly like it, but for some reason it doesn't feel unique. Clive Christian X? Hmmmm..maybe a bit but they are a different vibe. Both would go well with a night out for drinks 🍸.This one could be used on a date as well because there's no hardcore ouds or rough edges. Scent 7/10 Performance TBD

I WIDIAN is almost identical with the Opera Night Dzintars for women, a latvian quality fragrance, except the caramell note. Just try it in EDP or concentrated perfume extract version. The quality-price rate is out of this world. Highly affordable and feminine, natural ingredients and same performance and feeling with I WIDIAN. Today I was at the Dzintars selling point of my city trying various scents. Moreover, is almost the same with the much cheaper J'ose Eisenberg for men. Two economical alternatives for this juice.

I have a small decant of this that I love to use as layering scent. The spice and incense notes do a great job balancing out certain florals that can come across as too "sharp" to my nose (a la Rose from MFK, Secret Gardenia from Miller Harris), without clashing or overpowering the other scent. On it's own it's nice, but a bit dull to my nose. Good longevity and projection.

I love everything about this except the type of musk used here- unfortunately it doesn't mesh with my style and makes this feel to "perfumey" for me. It's very smooth and lovely so I understand the deep adoration but it doesn't fit my personality. Adding to my sell/swap stash. Message/see profile if interested. Edit: sold

So to me this is a lighter version of DHI mixed with some vanilla the liptstick vibe is there weak but there!i can see people loving this scent for me its a bit generic or i can says synthetic, for the price its a pass!! but dont get me wrong i can see people loving thisjuice! overall 7/10

Very fresh spicy green scent. Love it for a man in spring or summer. In the opening I get a bit of sweet floral but it is totally masculine on the dry down. Very nice scent.

If you want the same effect as the I AJ ARABIA but less expensive, try the J'ose Eisenberg in black bottle, the EDP version. They are the same.

Another very nice fragrance from widian but again unfortunately the sillage is again very lacking and its what lets this down.

I like it. But it's feminine and it doesn't have the usual Arabic strength. Decent performance, sweet & powdery.

I think I found a clone of Arabia I.. Try the much cheaper Rayan Black by Al Rehab.

I smell spices in a forest. It's nice though. fbw if not so xxy. -

This is a very cozy scent. It's introverted, almost too quiet. Black I is primarily a cardamom sandalwood scent. It opens with sweet soft spices. Cypress gives it a slight freshness. In the mid, it's mostly creamy sandalwood. There's something there not noted, maybe fig, maybe honey, elements that are reminiscent of Gris Charnel. In the dry down, it gets drier as the cedar notes come into play and the "flavours" of spice and sweetness fade into pure woods. I like the scent profile but I'm also disappointed by the performance. 6-8 sprays needed for a 50ml extrait is too weak for this price point.

The notes for this just don’t align with what i thought the fragrance would smell like. This also looks a lot more masculine than it is. Whilst the fragrance is definitely high quality and very well blended. To me this is more of a feminine musky floral amber fragrance. I don’t get any of the woody notes in this either. This is a definite pass for me and smells much more like a feminine fragrance.

Nothing with Wood...just flower, smells like an old grandmother... for me a waste of money. Like the limited 71.

This ended up being a massive disappointment. When I received a sample from FIF I wrote in my database comments - "It is a dry spice heaven and envelops me with a cloud of cinnamon and a sweetish cardamon. There is some seriously dry spicy woody incense going on here. It feels like it is going to hang around for hours, and if it does I will buy it. This knocks most of my perfume collection out of the park, the quality is so evident definitely in the Xerjoff and Sospiro league..., it lasted around 10 hours on me." However, when I came to try the actual bottle spray, it was a completely different perfume. What happened to those distinctive cinnamon notes and lovely dry woody incense? It was a slightly spicy floral generic and was all over within the hour. I regret the 285 AUD I spent on it. Having tried it in several seasons I still can't find anything to redeem it. Oh well, I'll keep trying but it's not looking good...

Given the accords, the notes and the beautiful bottle i'd have to say, this was a disappointment i didn't see coming. Surprisingly incomplex, more optional than it is imperative. Modern as hell is more appropo. Missing is that water at the mouth succulence often found in arabian fragrances. Let's be clear: the notes suggest that Aj Arabia I isn't meant to be an ooze fest with glowing warmth BUT(and that's a big but) when warm components are in the line up, expected are big boy delivery. The mixture of cypress and musk flaunts with social grace but the lasting effects is pure satisfiction(pun intended).

I had very high expectation with this house, I am unfortunately very disappointed with AJ Arabia I. All I get is musk with some cedar, not worth the high price, no thanks for me.

Widian Black I At installment 3 of my exploration of Widian, I am once again given an immediate mental image at first sniff. After the last 2, I began to wonder if the “settings” were forced or perhaps romanticized beyond necessary. After how instant the photo in my brain came through, I have no doubt. Whether intentionally or unintentionally done, I perceive Widian to be the masters of transporting the wearer to a setting of hospitality. The hospitality, thus far, has all come from profiles featuring warmth. Not hot, unbearable, and never intense; it welcomes. It provides peace. The image that I was immediately transported to with Black I is that of a spacious Lebanese coffee shop. In the middle of the coffee shop is a garden abundant with greenery. Perhaps intended to serve as an oasis, it provides the serenity required to sip a short coffee for the duration of several hours. The purpose of the visit is friendship, not coffee. The coffee is just the excuse. Before I look at notes and the profile, this is how it translates to scent. At first spray, there is a warmth of the hot drinks freshly delivered to the table. As time passes, they cool. Up close, it’s powdery and slightly earthy. From the bar, the occasional waft of a dry sweetness floats through the air. All the while, the vegetation muffles the sounds of the establishment. It’s a muffling that provides a refuge from the cares of the outside world. I'm thankful that I didn't look up the notes before spraying. The quality by Widian is done in a way that allows warm and spicy to work on my skin. In the beginning, incense, cardamom, and sandalwood provide warmth. The cypress provides serenity throughout. In the air, the cedar and cinnamon cool and sweeten as it wears on. The musk gives it life. As the coffee shop visit concludes, I am rejuvenated from deep connection and the distraction from responsibility. While I am once again a guest in this Widian setting, the invitation for further visits remains ever present.

Longevity - 10/10(10+ hours) Silage/Projection - 7,5/10(moderate to high projection and silage for the first 2-3 hours) Weather - best in spring,autumn and winter Age - 25+ Compliments - 9/10 Scent - 8/10 Main notes according to me - cardamom,incense,cinnamon,sandalwood,cypress. The drydown is nice and i get some woodiness,smokiness,musk and cedar. Emotions - romance,sensual,seductive,alluring,sexy. Occasion -best for date,nights out and romantic evening. Could be a nice signature scent.You'll get compliments with this one.

This scent (and the line in general) sits somewhere between the inelegant Orientalism of Montale and the lacerating synthetics of ultra-hip lines like Nu-Be. Black I goes on quite Montale (sweet, synthy honey-wood) and then turns a bit dirty (a kind of earthy cedar). There’s some rose lurking around, and plenty of dessert-style spices (cinnamon and whatnot). Through it all, though, it’s the honey that dominates. All of the Arabic cheapy trappings are present, but it doesn’t stand out enough to hold my attention. It’s not unpleasant, but it strikes me as a bit of a cut-rate composition that’s riding more on clichés. With that said, this is the best of the four that I’ve tried so far, both in structure and character.

For those men or women who appreciate a light projecting, long lasting fragrance. This fragrance seems to contain very pure oil, and the mixture is very easy on your sense of smell. Beautiful fragrance. I'm basing this off of the sample from Lucky Scents. I'd classify this as a professional easygoing fragrance that helps you concentrate. Yes, it can be worn on date night as well. I find this fragrance to be very versatile. Very, very nice. Nothing intoxicating, although a tad spicy. I can see this for a man who goes to work everyday, and doesn't want to think of what to wear. Spray this on, and your day will go well. Warms your soul and concentration is enhanced.

The note pyramid seems a bit off here. To me this smells like rose accented by cedarwood, cinnamon and clean musk. A touch of incense, but not much. Quite pleasant except for a slightly limp woody Amber synthetic base. I get little or no cardamom. For those mentioning cardamom as a key player here, I suggest you have a smell of Hermes Voyage or buy yourself a small bottle of cardamom at the spice aisle in your supermarket to see what cardamom actually smells like. But primarily this is a Rose fragrance. Performance seems ok if you are willing to apply a bit more. Stunning presentation. Almost worth buying for the presentation alone.

Delicious and fortifying at the same time. An admirable achievement in creating a scent of this kind that is equally accessible and approachable. Not your usual heavy spicebomb fragrance which tend to become tiresome and cloying. The cinnamon and cardamon remain perfectly behaved even displaying a coolness flitting in and out of the warm spices. As others have mentioned there is a notion of rose nestling in the background adding an ornate touch to the composition. Masterful and seductive. Touching perfection (just the price is a little high) 9.25/10

In pure impressive balance, an hour in when the right amount of smoke from the Incense hit on the 7°C evening stroll. An overall on and on shifter, just a few seven notes, distanced detectable like that and almost like each having their presence accent moment. Great Cinnamon Sandalwood, bit sweet initially then getting to the much home bringer woody Musk. Two years in finally understand the signature in this and why it's the first release from the line, introductory and can hold the title of the fun mature warm and so uplifting Widian Black line.

This is just a captivating fragrance & so enjoyable, easily worn by men and women alike, comforting and sensual. I'm falling in love with this house, I find their scents have that unique ability to transport me to times & places I've never been, and recall memories I've never had...this experience is what makes the whole fragrance journey so compelling to me...however I have to say that the projection & longevity here is far below my expectations and that is a disappointment that will likely prevent me from securing a full bottle.

Solid identity, Widian signature all the way. Get the Cardamom and the Cinnamon in the opening, blent, pretty sure there're more unlisted notes happening because it's a very neat 10 minutes in situation. Aromatic, warm with the slight spices on skin, Cypress and Incense balanced so smooth in the mid phase. Not powdery, turns smokey and balsamic along the way. Complex extrait, definitely get different scents depending on the environment, several stages, very unisex, very niche, up there in the top 5 Widians for sure.

I don't mind the shipping wait time. Is there anyway to sample your line? I grew up in Dubai, and I am intensely familiar with the middle eastern perfume experience. My perfume cabinet is full of oud perfumes, but I have yet to find something that reminds me exactly of U.A.E. How I long for a piece of home.. Best, M
