Limited 71 Intense

A masterfully-blended woody and fragrant masculine perfume. It begins with a lovely bergamot, amber, and saffron and slowly transitions into the more aromatic facets of lavender, patchouli, and oud. The initial phases are similar to Oud For Greatness but where OFG remains linear, this becomes 3-dimensional and the class begins to shine, where OFG has some rough edges, 71 Intense has none. It is less sweet than Liwa and actually takes a more bitter turn in the drydown so it is not a good comparison to the sickly and cloying Liwa. Longevity was okay, about 10-12 hours with a nice scent bubble around you that is easily detected This is very easily a 9/10 fragrance for me, my only gripe is the price but I think it may just be worth it.

This is very interesting & indeed. It's challenging, but not in terms of smell, which is quite easy to like I'd say, but in terms of finding ways to describe it, which I usually have no problem with. I'll give it my best try, his is like beautiful, slick mellowed out version of OFG trying to fit Reflection 45's shoes, if that makes sense. I like it, if we ignore the limited ed. price point ($650 in the marketplace)

The opening of 71 Intense reminds me of Initio Oud for Greatness, it has a similar sweet aromatic opening due to the combination of lavender and saffron. Even though saffron is not listed in the notes of 71 Intense, I can detect a sweet saffron note in the opening. After the opening, the two fragrances go to two different directions, while Oud for Greatness becomes more spicy, 71 Intense goes into a green oudy direction. I strangely get a henna accord which I think comes due to the combination of patchouli, bay leaf and vetiver. Along with the henna accord, there is a beautiful oud note, a sweet amber accord and clean musk which I think comes from the Cashmeran. The fragrance is smooth, rich and very addictive. The only downside of the fragrance is that it is a limited edition.

It is not that easy to write a feeeback about this fragrance. Generaly I am satisfied with the perfume. It is uniqe, special, nice, it makes you being somewehre in the arab universe. When I was in Dubai, I felt there each man smell like this scent. I m happy to have one of the 900 bottles however it is much overrated. Like I said scent is such nice one, longevity a good 8-9 hrs with average spillage. From such an expensive perfume ( mine was 335 eur / 50ml ) I await better performance. Anyway it is quite a good one.

This is everything you would want in a "masculine" scent, not that I really believe those really exist. I wear one or two thelat are "fem" targeted frags, and I'm sure some women would love this as they should. It's clean and heavy at the same time. I would say this is a safe office scent but mot really a outside hot kinda scent. But most likely this is a suit and tie gem. Love it!
