Rose Arabia Almond

Widian is translated to Valley in English. I think it's interesting how I can become fascinated with a brand simply by learning what the meaning is behind their name. I am very unfamiliar with Widian aside from a sample of Almond I purchased from Luckyscent. I don't know if others are like this, but I like to wear my almond fragrances at night. I almost crave them, similar to ice cream or chocolate chip cookies. Of course I can wear them during the day, but it doesn't feel the same and it doesn't curve my craving the same way. Anyway, I wore Almond for the first time tonight. And I am pleasantly surprised. Initially, it was not something I was expecting because of how much fruit I was smelling. There are raspberries, peaches, plums and also a bouquet of honeysuckle and tuberose. Where is the almond!? I see vanilla. I even see prailine for God sake. Where is the almond? I never find it lol. However, what is there is a nice Delina relative. For those of you who enjoy that fragrance, you are really going to like this. I was not aware how much rose was going to come through. I also did not know it was in a Collection centered around roses. So let me tell you now, this is not almond forward by any means. That was my mistake. It is equal parts floral if not more floral than gourmand. Nothing groundbreaking either, just done well with excellent longevity. That's the reason I was inspired to write tonight. I am surprised and impressed by the longevity and sillage of Almond. I happen to put Interlude Black Iris over Almond to do some personal experiments. Come to find out Almond is persevering! Very impressive. Mad respect. Lol. Impressive enough to make me interested in their entire line when I had no interest before. I find out you are not bull, I am loyal for life. Long story short, this is worth your money even if it's not exactly Almond. I forgive you now take my money.

Rose Arabia Almond is the only fragrance I have tried from Widian. After falling in love with this one, I can't wait to try more from the house. This fragrance is perfection. It's sweet and fluffy, almost marshmallow like, with just enough white florals balancing it out. It's decadent, but not gourmand. This smells like what I had hoped PDM'S Oriana would smell like. This takes the orange blossom and fluffy sweetness to the next level. I pick up on many of the notes listed. But it's so smooth and well blended that they come together beautifully. Performance is impressive. The bottle is heavy and simply designed, it's nice. The juice in my bottle has become quite dark. It's aged beautifully. I would highly recommend trying this if you enjoy scents like Oriana or LDBS. It's not identical to those but it's in the same family. Imo, Rose Arabia Almond is better than those two (I still enjoy Love Don't be Shy, but I reach for this much more often). Longevity: 8/10 Projection: 7.5/10 Overall Experience: 9/10

It's hilarious to see all the comments of those who can't smell the almond in this, because the sample I got is a marzipan cake bomb, reminiscent of almond extract (thankfully minus the sharp alcohol). Lots of creamy milk and sweetness, and expertly blended with flowers and nameless fruit. (I don't get any peach, which I am crazy about, or plum or raspberry, just nondescript, but pleasing fruit punch.). I ended up going with Xeroffs Italica instead of this as it was a similar vibe, but the Italica was somehow more comforting and sweet for me. This one is definitely a great find, though, and perhaps I'll go back for more when the little vial runs out. Ps the lady at ZGO - an exceptional niche perfumerie store in SF - recommended this, and she has exquisite taste.

Widian’s Almond brings me straight to vacay mood. It makes me mesmerize about warm Mediterranean Sea, isolated island in Greece, with warm waters, sun, soft pebble beaches, pine trees and meadows of flowers and herbs. It has a sweet and refreshing flavor, soapy in the best possible way. Not necessarily clean in a traditional way but very fresh and bubbly. I find it staying close to my skin, very easily wearable and feminine. I feel like can’t go wrong with this one. I’m not big fan of tuberose, but the tuberose of this one is just adorable! It has same elements that LDBS, but I prefer Almond any day. Almond is natural and organic fragrance. It has a beautiful comforting dry down and moderate longevity. Price quality ratio is above average!

I like it, but the flowers are too prominent (as always) on my skin. I love almond and nutty scents, but unfortunately I get this rose scent that I'm not too happy about. After a couple of hours it smells delicious - but I can't wait couple hours to smell good. I also have a parrot at home, and I only use a small amount of perfume at work or when going out. My parrot is out and about with me in the morning, so of course - I can't put on any perfume until I leave the house (and far from where he's at). So I can't do any timing for when the perfume settles. I need a perfume to smell nice right away. Edit; I've completely changed my mind on this. I have now started to love the hint of rose. It's wonderful. Just bought a full bottle 🙈

Marzipan, creamy milk, almond, and tuberose – yes please! It’s tame compared to Italica, which was too lactonic for me, but I’d coin it as a cousin or little sister scent. I’m also not sure it fits within the gourmand category for me either, which is great since I was looking for a gourmand adjacent scent appropriate for summer nights. I love how this one dries down and the skin scent it becomes. It’s not screechy in its creaminess or florals, but it certainly makes a statement. Although this isn’t exactly groundbreaking, I find this to be unique among the almond type scents I have tried before and worth the purchase.

This is a well - blended sweet perfume that is perfect for someone who also loves orange blossom, vanilla, plum and tuberose. The almond didn't project as well as the other notes, but you do catch whiffs of it. I live in the Southern US and I'd wear this in winter, fall and spring. Under the summer heat, this may be a bit strong. It reminds me of Safanad and Au Pays De La Fleur D'Oranger's Neroli Blanc - this gives you an idea of how sweet the perfume is. This was a blind buy and I love it. I'm now looking into other Widian perfumes in this range. I also enjoy Black II, Black IV and Yassat.

Among the plethora of sweet almond scents out there, this was love at first sniff for me. I have my bottle for a year and a half and the scent keeps getting better and better. The blend of fruits and flowers gives off a sweet, fruity blast with a slight powdery, sweet almondy dry down on me. It does not have a big sillage but it is a discrete scent that you will enjoy, I know I did. The longevity on my skin is about 6 hours. Sample first because this is pricy.

Widian is just amazing. Great fragrances at a not too high price-point. This is an example of their best work. I have grown obsessed with nutty, almond fragrances in the past few months, and this is surely the peak of them, there's no way there's anything better for me than this. top notes of fresh fruity orange and white flowers, a very clean "im showering in a waterfall in early spring " type of vibe. base notes are like the top notes but milder, just tad warmer but nothing too different, slight citrusy. A very safe choice of perfume, extremly intimate and not pertruding to others at all. I really like it.

Finely milled, air-spun face powder and pastel Jordan almonds in a faceted glass dish. Mesmerizing and delicious, but does not smell literally edible. The boudoir-esque, vintage cosmetics vibe dominates on me, but of course, results will vary. The main notes I detect are violet, almond, and vanilla.

This is just beautiful !!! The opening is INSANE urghhh I love this. It’s not gourmand enough as it has a slight kick of spice in it.

It opens very sweet, reminiscent of marzipan - sweet almond oil, booze and sugar syrup, but after a minute the sweetness starts to fade and the florals become more pronounced. To me the orchid is the most prominent, then the tuberose and plum with the vanilla and a bit of almond sweetness in the background. The opening is really delicious and I love it but it is short and the dry-down feels a little old school to me. All in all a good fragrance, with moderate sillage. A complex and well executed gourmand but I would not buy again as to me, for the notes listed, the projected fragrance feels too calm and cozy, more for bedtime. I expected it to be sharper, maybe more spicy and invigorating. So if you are looking for a creamy, cozy and not too overwhelming gourmand then this could be it.

I finally got my bottle after going through two samples. This is SO delicious (and very, very sweet). It really is just like the notes say: fruity, white floral, almond, vanilla, etc...I'm sitting under the fan and the raspberry note is really coming out. And honestly, the almond and raspberry notes are what I bought it for. Does that sound like a delicious pastry or what? If you buy the bottle, it comes in gorgeous packaging, but let me save you time. The beautiful floral wrapping around the container must come off. It's glued really well and looks like it's supposed to stay permanently, so I could NOT figure out how to open the bottle and it took me two days because I didn't want to ruin it. But yes, the container's beautiful thick paper must come off to get to the bottle.

When I sprayed my sample I instantly knew I liked the scent, but had something similar in my collection. This is a sister of Pure Bloom by ST Dupont. No matter what the notes say, both come across as non-bubblegum tuberose with woodsy base. Love them both, but picking up a dupe is unnecessary. And if I wanted to repurchase, I'd go for Pure Bloom because of the price.

This pulled a bit masculine on my skin. Very nice scent, though. I can definitely smell the almond note and the plum and coconut lends a nice sweetness to it. Heavy and very middle eastern.

Not for me. The tuberos and patchouli is giving me a headache and it smells very “old fashioned” to me. But I bet it would work on other people.
