I had a sample and ended up purchasing a bottle after wearing it and deliberating for a few weeks. I ended up purchasing as my fall signature. This scent is amazing and so complex! Definitely a fall/winter scent. More feminine than masculine. This opens a bit syrupy but in a wonderful way. I get the peach and the white flower and cedar blended with some other notes I can't pick out. It reminds me of the state fair when I was a kid. Thick fall air. The smell of fresh local honey, caramel and fall harvest citrusy sweet treats, and walking along a path of crunchy pine needles. The dry down brings out a powdery animalic texture, but the notes all remain the same. It is in gourmand category but not overly sweet because it is balanced by the cedar citrus and white flower. The cinnamon adds a deep dimension that screams fall. The caramel is strong but blended with the peach and flowers it smells more like a natural and decadent golden honey. Staying power is great. Lasts about 6 hours on me. Delma, my other purchase from Widian, lasts a bit longer. This perfume is worth every penny! It is unique and expertly blended. I love that I have found a signature scent that no one else will be wearing. After testing out a few Widian samples, my Tom Fords smells like a chunky 1 dimension joke in comparison.

Oh me....oh my, this fragrance is lovely. Incredibly warm, with a fruity, floral and even feminine aspect, with a light caramel/fudge accord in which the florals seem suspended. It's not a cloying, Mugleresque, big, heavy floral/gourmand Widian V is judged to perfection in a similar way to Widian II (I recall that's quite sweet?) This isn't the whole story though because it's dries down to a light musky accord and even a little woody and leathery on my skin (perhaps sandalwood?) with suggestions of that powdered apricot and vanilla sweetness but not dominated by them. I thought it was pretty impressed by it, lasted very well too.

I love this fragrance. It's absolutely stunning. The entire "black" line is gorgeous, and while very distinctive, I find that all 5 fragrances share something in common - all are beautiful and unique, but there is a common theme. II is the sweetest, most feminine, and I would say V would follow. This is a wonderful combination of caramel, vanilla, spices, fruits and florals. Very nicely blended, and the vanilla is very smooth and creamy. I had to purchase the bottle after a single testing, and the beautiful presentation is worth every penny.

This is so sweet in the beginning it'll give you a toothache, but the cedar and fruit give it a fizzy quality as the composition develops. It has the same sort of fizzy quality as Roses Musk by Montale, but is much sweeter and heavier. The caramel is very prominent. It's a rich, thick, warm caramel and the cedar is the second strongest note. Other people seem to love this fragrance. I was wearing a sample at a beauty supply and two women approach me, asked me for the name of my perfume and wrote it down.

This is delicious and unlike anything else I've smelled! I love fragrances with cinnamon, but so many of them are for men or masculine leaning unisex fragrances. Finally I found a very feminine cinnamon fragrance! This smells like cinnamon sugar (caramel?) combined with the white floral scent of tuberose. Sweet, but not too sweet. I don't really smell peach or lemon. Longevity is okay, but could be better at this price. This is a LOVE for me!

simply the best of all Widian(s) out there. wear it in heat and let it shine. if you sample this one in spring/fall it won't show it's facets and remain very mediocre to your nose. once it is extremely warm or cold this one shines the best. Very floral and balsamic on my skin in hot humid weather and at the same time fluffy vanilla with caramel when temperatures drop below 0. So worth it! Longevity 12+ hours, sillage +/-arm length.

Beautiful toned down tuberose with a gourmand touch, the best of two worlds (florals vs gourmands).

I first sampled Widian Black V during a heatwave this summer, in a climate controlled environment. I'd ordered quite a few samples, with hopes of finding a new Fall/Winter scent. My reaction was a verbal "ooooh, I like that !" But, it seemed better suited to lower temps. I moved on to the other samples, and tucked WBV into the back of my mind for cooler weather. I've since discovered a few other cinnamon, caramel, amber gourmands that triggered partial scent memories that drove me nuts trying to recall the source. Only when trying to organize my ever growing samples stash did I find this beauty again! Aha! WBV is definitely perfect for Fall weather and is quite deep, warm and deliciously cozy! However, it now has competition from Dua's Amberlicious; Attar Collection's Khaltat, and a lovely amber scent from Kay Ali. They're all very similar with WBV's longevity edging out Kay Ali. However, Dua's Amberlicious and Attar's Khaltat are winner and runner-up for: longevity, projection, sillage (and a wonderfully clean white musky drydown) the deciding factor had to be: Price!

Tried this on a strip a while back and had a small sample to try laying around. It's a feminine one. All the notes you see here seem to be perfectly balanced and they smell very natural. You can smell every single note listed here. The Main Accord description is on point. The most prominent Main accord is peach x the white florals at the beginning, it's stronger than the others but not in an overpowering way. In the opening it's sweet juicy florals, and after a few minutes the base notes start to take over. It starts to get smoother, warmer and creamier when that happens, mainly thanks to the vanilla and caramel. After 20 minutes when it lingers around the air I pick up mainly the base notes - and the top notes get stronger the closer I get to my skin. Would love to smell this on a woman. Very long lasting and a heavy projection. Overall a very good fragrance, like all the other Widian fragrances. Almost a love.

At opening it smells exactly like raw wildflower honey my grandparents used to buy. As bees fly away with most of honey, surprisingly, despite of becoming little less sweet, it becomes even more feminine. I still love this scent despite the fact I would never wear it myself, or can imagine any man could. I think manufacturer making huge mistake when marketing it as unisex, they not gaining any male customers and possibly discouraging some less adventurous ladies from trying it out. Performance in all categories equal to best niche perfumes out there. I would put it in rare category: safe blind buy for man who wants to please his woman - you would love to smell it on her, and she will love you for giving it to her.

Beautiful and well blended scent with dominant combo of caramel and tuberose. Totally feminine and very pleasant. This is one of the very few caramel scents I really like. Quality is here, very smooth. Performance is moderate overall.

Smells like flowers drizzled in caramel. Smells nice but not as powerful as I was hoping from the notes and brand. It's much softer than I was thinking it would be. -

It's pretty good. Fruity in almost more of an apple-like way, rather than peach + lemon, though I do smell the lemon and it swings back and forth for me. I think the addition of the cinnamon and caramel makes it feel more like apple at times. The caramel is surprisingly and admirably restrained. I don't get the while floral notes. It does read as somewhat solar, but more like solar on a bright, day in the middle of fall than a summer day. Up close, smells like a paper bag that had Lush bath bombs inside, a mix of dust from different ones. It does just feel like an autumnal spiced fruit sort of scent at the end of the day. I think it's well done and if you're looking for that profile then give this one a try. I've never been big on that profile myself, so it's not that exciting to me. Nice enough, though. 7.5/10.

This is sticky sweet in the beginning. Heavy with strong golden caramel. However, the middle and base notes give it a fizzy quality that cuts the sweetness and showcases the florals. Smells like sensual women fragrance of the 1930s and 1940s. I think is not modern and not suitable for today.

Poor performance and doesnt last ive tried all the widian line up except the limited edition. The only good performances are from liwa thats a monster fragrance and black 1 rest are weak sauce

Waayy to heavy on the tuberose. If you love tuberose you might love this, but this is not for me

I find this one complicated. Do I like it? Don't I like it? I can't decide. I have a sample I purchased from Luckyscent a couple of years ago. When I first got it, I didn't care for it. Tonight, I re-tried it. Almost immediately, I thought, "No... wait... maybe..." Ten minutes later, this fragrance has sent out tendrils into my mind, and I'm thinking this could be THE ONE for this fall. How do I describe this fragrance? Well... I'm not really consistently picking out one standout element. It's smoky, caramel-ly, sweet. SWEET. But not cloying sweet. Smoky-sweet. It's not over-floral. I'm not picking up any fruity notes, but I think that's what's balancing the floral. The smokiness of the cedar keeps it based in reality, gives it a little edge. I feel like this is the perfume to I want to put on, the next time I dress all in black and sing 'A Night in Tunisia'. There's something exotic about it, but also old-fashioned and dangerous, like Marlene Dietrich in a striped veil on a train.

Mature Peach opening, with the nonsweet, nondanish cookies Cinnamon and slight citrus. Get the Widian complexity, Widian standard, layers, perfect extrait, not beastmode. Partially gourmand, but not really, get the white florals in a more bitter manner in the mid, warms up with the Caramel and woddy Vanila towards the drydown. V would be the least favourite in the Black collection when it comes to this mass appeal, and then at the same time we're talking smoothness galore. Unique DNA, elegant, humbling. Suggest start with IV, II, III, I and top it off with V. Get the superjoyous in IV and II, masculine and mature fun in III and I. Very pleased with the purchase, went trough three dabbers along the way, finally got to the perfect time to acquire.

i wanted to love this so badly because of my strong affinity for the often resorted to citrus and white florals over caramel/vanilla combo. in this case, however, the cinnamon and cedar ruin it for me. it adds a dusty/stuffy/wooden quality - quite reminiscent of an old, seldom-opened closet - to to the fragrance. i probably won’t finish my sample and certainly have no interest in a full bottle.

Opening is Classy-fruity-floral-spicy-Hallmarky and of course in comes the fig. Dry down a subtle spice/incense over sweet/amber; apparently there's tuberose in this but I'm not getting any of that. I think it feels more like a night perfume. It does also lean a bit vintage but not as much as some others. This is a femme fatale scent-- very forward and bold!

Almost exact dupe of Bond No. 9 Chintatown, except this one is even more cloying. I guess I'm not a fan of the white floral/cinnamon/gourmand mix. I feel like white floral can, are absolutely best when they stand on their own. They're heady enough, and can hit that candied scent well enough, without adding even more sweetness on top.

Very feminine, I cant imagine wearing this as a man, but as it dries down its a bit better. Much more floral than I was expecting, I assumed it would be a bit sweet or maybe potentially tasty but not at all to me. Not my thing at all really, and as with others from this house that ive smelled price is pretty big for meh performance.

20210409 I have never thought that the note cinnamon and cedar can smell chlorine. The tuberose chatters the way she should in any case. Both caramel and fruit are reminiscent. Well it's on a blotter. I'll see how it goes on my skin later. Edit: The opening is better on the skin. Fresh tuberose and fruit with a hint of cinnamon.

This smells identical to Bond No.9 'Chinatown'. It's not hard to see why, with such a similar note breakdown. Fizzy, fruity cola sweetness with a thick, waxy tuberose and vanilla candle base. It's very feminine, fun and flirty, but Bond No.9 did it first, and their bottle is way cooler.

Nice description, but sadly Not impressed in reality at all, from first sniff I was sure I know this smell already. And I was right. Quick check on old bottles-bam, old good fella Viktor and Rolf Bonbon.

This is like sitting in an overheating Cadillac Deville with plush seats while your least favorite aunt hotboxes you with clove cigarettes. Nearly identical to Chinatown, which I also passionately hate.

This kept reminding me of something and I couldn't figure it out. Then it hit me. This smells like a sexy, slightly fruity bowl of Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal. I mean that in a good way.

Fruity unisex chypre. Jasmine, caramel, vanilla, peach, rose, saffron and sweeter yet airy citrus. The absolute best of the Black series!

I am an AJ ARABIA perfumes lover and I can't wait to smell this one ! When will it be available ?

The combination of notes gives me the overall effect of grape cough syrup/ candy, sadly not a fan
