Hesperia

Juicy, hot, green floral citrus scent. Citrus scents are not really my favorite category, but this is a really nice, realistic iteration of the genre. I weirdly like this in cold weather - the heat of the fragrance makes it really compelling on freezing nights. It smells like summer remembered in winter.

When I first tried this a couple of months ago, in summertime, my first impression was the citron was way, way too bright. Now in the middle of the darkest Swedish winter, oddly, I totally agree with previous speaker, I find this very energizing. What I disliked at first, the almost overwhelming brightness of the lemon, I now really favour. I would say it's almost minimalistic in the way it is centered around the citron (lemon). In a Swedish context, this works perfect, because generally most Swedes tend to like fresh citrus-perfumes. If you like bright citruses, and especially the idea of a really bright lemon executed with discerning quality, I would definitely try this out. The overall level of quality for all Wienerblut fragrances is just amazing. In retrospect, of all the citruses I’ve experienced this far, I realise Hesperia is probably one of the absolute best. It’s not simple, but still easy to use. It has good longevity, especially given it’s a citrus, and projects as well as you would want it to. Definitely for the hot summer days. Very unisex. Works equally well for playing an outdoor tennis court on a hot summer evening, as for an evening at the opera. I don’t like to use the word ’classy’, but this is definitely one of the more classier niche-citruses out there. Modern classical.
