Wildfox

I've kind of really wanted this since I first laid eyes on that absolutely beautiful bottle in Nordstrom (and of course I liked the perfume itself) but I always held off... until I recently discovered that the store is soon closing in my town which I'm in denial about. So, with that in mind, I took the leap and made my probably last purchase there and I have... mostly no regrets. And now that I was fully able to wear it around all day, I knew this would be perfectly suited for the spring weather soon to come which I'm excited about. I also couldn't help but notice it smelled somewhat similar, and it didn't take long for it to hit me that it was Couture Couture by Juicy Couture I was thinking of. Glad to see another commenter noted the same thing. So if you are familiar with Juicy, think of that only replacing the more grapey notes with honey and there you have Wildfox. The longevity is decent on me, though I go back and forth on the honey, sometimes it's more prevalent than I like, other times I can smell and appreciate the other notes. Now, because it does closely remind me of Juicy, chances are I will not make a future re-purchase when I can get the other at a fraction of a cost. But it is a cheerful, nice, springtime scent that I will definitely use, and again, seriously, the bottle is a stunner.

I get exactly the notes listed, except the musk and ambroxan. I'm not getting laundry or love's baby soft. I'm getting clean waxy camelia dipped in honey, candied honeysuckle, peppery wormwood. The apricot and incense tempering what would otherwise be juvenile to a sort of whimsical alto. I've read that women wear makeup for other women (since men don't notice or care about such things), and in that vein, I feel like this fragrance is an interpretation of femininity for other women, as a man wouldn't think to highlight these particular moods. I really like it. Its unpretentious, it's mellow, its unconventionally sweet. *EDIT Four hours post spray it is down to ambroxan and musk, emanating only a few inches from the skin. Quite boring. But if I smash my nose into my wrist I can find the honey. For the price, that three and a half hours was delightful.

Edit -- I'm really falling in love with this! I catch whiffs of it through the day and just can't get enough. It's so feminine yest sultry at the same time. I really dont get the negative reviews, on me, this fragrance is just heavenly. Really toying with the idea of a full bottle! I definitely get the Alien feel. On me, it's a warm, musky jasmine. Not cloying, heavy, or too light. It's sweet but not gourmand. I don't want to use the word fresh or clean, because it isn't crisp. So I'll use spicy, warm, and classy. Could be worn all times of the year...a very easy going fragrance. This would be fun to mix with other scents. I love it :)

One of my favourites. Really soft, feminine perfume, no masculine notes. Apricot and honey and jasmine are dominant. Absinthe gives slight bitter feeling, but this is sweet and cute perfume. I read that founder of Wildfox want to recreate the smell of Los Angeles with this perfume. LA supossed to smell like jasmine bushes. Now it is discontinued, but I have plenty backup bottles for the future.

Absolutely lovely! I usually cannot wear a perfume with honey as a prominent note due to it becoming too sweet on me, but the honey note in this is tamed nicely by the other notes and blended well with the beautiful honeysuckle. It is ultra feminine, soft, but with a bit of an exotic twist. Silage is close to skin, but on me longevity is aprox 4 hours. I got nice compliments on this one too.

I guess they tried to find the "magic" formula. Cozy, warm, sexy, clean and attractive. I'm a guy and I find it beautiful. I know, this is not a revolutionary perfume. But after testing so many great ideas and promising stories, it's nice to find a simple fragrance that do what others can't: delivers. A musky sensual fragrance. Feminine and utterly clean. I can't say more, wonderful.

I really love this. On me it is POWERFUL. Lasts mostly all day, I get lots of compliments. Mind you, I do layer this with Jovan Musk oil, as I do with most of my florals... I definitely get alot of the incense in this as well, which I love. No powder, no laundry detergent note, and no vanilla, on me. All floral, incense, and MUSK. Strongly recommend.

One of my most reached for scents because she is easy and effortless. She fits all occasions because there is a little bit of sweet fruit, a little bit of floral flare, a little honey and amber. It’s hard to put your finger on any one dominant note because it is a very well-balanced and beautifully blended scent. She will always be in my collection.

This is my signature scent, which pains me to say since it's been discontinued. I get light white florals and slightly sweet honey. This is a close to the skin scent for me. I almost smell slight similarities to Yara by Lattafa, which doesn't make sense with the note profiles, but scratches that itch with the sweet florals.

As others have said, this fragrance evokes memories & familiarity. My first thought was the roller rink in the 1970s & 80s. Maybe the incense or musk? It's very likable, in fact I love it, but it's TOO LIGHT!! It fades away in an hour to a salty musk, that is very sexy, but you really have to try hard to smell it.

This is very appealing and wearable. Sweet and natural smelling - good blend. I get peach in it too. For me, its familiar notes are a plus.

The incense note is the strongest note in this for me, followed by vintage powdery florals.

This smells exactly as if you took Gucci Bloom and added a dollop of honey for (natural) sweetness. The honeysuckle is so prominent and lifts this with a nice fruity floral tang, and then jasmine gives it that white floral smoothness. I don't get much apricot, usually that note becomes too syrupy and cloying on my skin. If anything I detect more of a citrus, I would've guessed tangerine/orange. It's so whimsical and flirty and not too heavy but also has the performance and blending you'd expect from a proper perfume. This doesn't smell like something you'd pick up at Victoria's Secret, it's much more sophisticated than that. If you liked Gucci Bloom I recommend giving this a try. And I can't believe how discounted it's become considering the smell and its gorgeous packaging, I'll be picking up a full bottle of this one soon. Edit: I now have the largest sized bottle in my possession. The only complaint I have is that this doesn't have the best performance. It's a good thing these bottles are now heavily discounted, because you have to spray on quite a bit just to get it to last a few hours. I'd imagine you'll need no less than 10 sprays to last all day. But when I do have to reenter my cabinet to touch up, I'm captivated by the stunning bottle. It's really much more beautiful in person than the pictures can do it justice. It looks like something you spent a couple hundred bucks on at neiman marcus/nordstrom, when in all actuality you can get it on ebay for $25. And for that price, I'd say it's well worth it.

I have passed this up again and again in TJ Maxx, Marshalls etc. as my 'Spidey senses' told me it was not to be. Recently received a sample in a bundled sample lot. Initial try: generic medley of recently modern done-to-death-frags which seem to be redolent in the mainstream industry as of late. I get the honey, as well as the flowery notes, along with the musk. Not sure whether the initial blast which had me backpedal a bit at first was the absinthe, but it dissipated quickly. @Beantoes . . I get the Viva la Juicy a bit at first, but then it morphs into mellow notes and becomes less juicier. Darker, riper, honeyed fruits but with depth. I can't believe that the musk at the dry down is keeping this one alive all on its own strength, so it must be the Ambroxan working overtime in the background. I love Ambroxan, so this may be its saving grace. I wish I could detect an incense note. That would make this an instant purchase. I think I am trying too hard to find a reason to buy this beyond the sample, but I am not going to try too much longer. I will see whether the longevity will keep it as a maybe for later purchase. @colorfulmess . . .I was not trying to associate it with a bathroom air freshener, but since you mentioned it, yes, it did remind me of that. Not sure how well I am receiving this since I read your post. Hopefully that will change (fingers crossed , LOL) For me, honey notes mixed with florals have to be done just so, otherwise it becomes a hot mess.

I like this but it is not what I expected. The name Wildfox and the stand-out gawdy bottle would imply a bold and heady perfume that makes an entrance, but instead, I get a soft and delicate oriental floral that is suitable for a younger lady. I like the apricot and honey. This lasted 3 to 4 hours on me, and would be perfect as a skin scent during a nice spring day when you don't want to offend anyone. It smells like a watered-down mixture of Modern Muse and Viva La Juicy layered together on my skin. It is nice, though, but not nice enough to pay full price for it, but if makes it to TJ Maxx or Marshalls, I would consider buying it a discount price. EDIT: I wore a sample of this perfume to work and got compliments right after I walked in the door. The more I wear it, the more I am beginning to love it. I realize that when it comes to perfume, it's all about chemistry.

i like this. it isnt anything unique or special but it is nice. i get a lot of honey and apricot mixed with white florals and musk. it smells really nice like casual spring scent. i would say more business casual and a little too casual for business professional. more of a younger under 30 scent. i think being 34 i am a bit too old for it. its nice but i imagine a young lady in her early 20s maybe just out of college hanging out with friends on the weekend. maybe they are driving somewhere during the day for a day trip. and you could be stuck in a car with this scent and not be driven crazy. that being said i would probably buy it even though i think im a little too old for it if it was like at least half off. otherwise i would rather spend my money on perfumes that scream "me" than this kinda not unique scent.

I could not pass up a price of $10 for 1.7oz bottle of this perfume in a discount store, even if only to see what magic potion can a gorgeous bottle like this hold. The bottle is the best thing about this fragrance, actually. But I wouldn't say I dislike the fragrance - it's soft white floral with honey and something weird, a bit spicy(?), probably that's how I perceive incense here. The scent is nice and comforting, good for winding down after a long day, before-sleep type of scent - soft 30-min. longevity "pajamas" fragrance. It doesn't feel synthetic or sharp on the initial application, the very fast dry-down is warm, soft and sweet. Very simple fragrance and very weak, but for $10 it's worth it. I can't believe the original price tag on this. I really like the fancy bottle, though.

The best way I can describe this fragrance is "honeyed laundry detergent" which sounds like a pejorative but it's not; I actually really like it. Fresh and nonchalantly sexy in a modern/youthful way, I find it kind of addictive even though the building blocks seem so basic. I'm happy to have it in my collection! This is honey done in a light & sparkly way - I like to think of this as the nicer sister of Kim K Pure Honey (which I actually dislike, but the honey there is reminiscent of the honey here, it's sheer and floral & not heavy). Also reminds me a bit of DKNY Nectar Love but closer to the skin and muskier.

I blind bought this rollerball at Nordstrom's. I was surprised when the SA advised against purchasing it, but now I understand she deals with people mostly looking for a signature scent and this would not fit that bill. On skin, I find this to be a linear, well-rounded, well-blended, soft, unassuming scent. Slightly non-gourmand honeyed floral bolstered with a hint of musk and ambroxan. It is an inoffensive day wear perfume perfect for office or medical work. It wears close to the skin and gradually fades over a few hours.

A sweet and airy fruity floral. I really like it for the reason that it smells exactly like how Wildfox clothing looks. It's young, very femme, flirty, pastel, and fun. A boozy opening evolves into a fragrant gummy-candy-smelling fruit (apricot) plus jasmine-y combo. Base is a nice soft musk / incense with amber. I don't smell the honey very much as a distinct note, but the entire perfume is pretty sweet. An uncomplicated, likeable scent that I feel would work best for a young person... or the young at heart!

I have had this a while but never put it on! I finally reached for it today and I was pleasantly surprised how beautiful and sweet honeyed floral it smells on me! I agree with reviewer below it’s an easy reach! It’s a very yellow floral I do not get incense at all! Very pretty and perfect for spring and summer. This doesn’t swallow you up floral which makes it great for the office or a day time party! 8/10 because this isn’t normally something I go for but I will be wearing this, this summer!

Reminds me of a combination of Chloe's Chloe edp and Boucheron's Place Vendom - both of which I love! This is a good everyday scent for anyone who does enjoy white, slightly warm florals. I don't ever have issues with common scents - I'm not always looking to make a statement with fragrance. So this is on my buy list, not at retail, but from beautyspin if they get it anytime soon. Clean, floral and a little sweet. Unfortunately the wormwood note isn't as prominent but still lovely!

It's a very pleasant versatile smell. I get honey and white flowers in the beginning, then the smell gets fruit-er with peach and honeysuckle notes. It has a little "zing" to it (sourness, i would attribute it to the white flowers). They dry-down gets muskier and more toned down, but still very pleasant (the longevity though is not very strong). The smell is not unique enough to be the "signature" smell (at least for me), but it is perfect for every day office wear.

Tried this from a manufacturers spray sample. Very light within 5 minutes, pretty...I can't imagine this being offensive to anyone. Stunning bottle and I think this would make an impressive gift to someone who is casually into perfume...nothing special but I would guess this to be universally non-offensive, which is sometimes just what one needs.

Honey blast opening quickly dries down to a soft, sweet, slightly powdery scent. A musk note adds some fuzziness to this modern perfume. Feminine but not girly, WF is work safe. A nice every day perfume, very wearable and enjoyable. Performance is good, sillage and lasting power are average. WF smells more high end than it is.

Wildfox blends with my chemistry really well, I think. I got compliments on this from a perfume snob, so it must be working for me. It does kind of have a bathroom-like air freshener scent at first. Then it settles into a nice sweet honeyed floral. I might buy a rollerball because I don't think I would use this that often.

Lovely perfume that does not last. Very much an Elizabeth Arden perfume - floral, ladylike, elegant, sweet and fleeting (at least on me). I got rose and honeysuckle, which I loved, but would not pay such a steep price for something that doesn't last and also reminds me of other perfumes like Pretty or Red Door Revealed.

Nice smell. I got honeysuckle as an opening note which stayed on my skin for, I'd say, 3 hours. Then it dried down to a sweet honey (but not headache-inducing, soft and pleasant). Not sure how absynthe smells like, but at first the smell was a bit sour and had a zing to it. Still, very pleasant day-time wear.

This reminds me of the 1980s Love's Musky Jasmine (not to be confused with the Dana modern Jasmine version) that I wore in middle school. It's a nice, sweet fragrance. I got a free sample, but I don't think I'll pay full price for the bottle. It just doesn't seem that special.

They must call this wildfox because it's super sexy. Notes of musk, sweet, floral with honey which adds to the uniqueness. This fragrance is beautiful.

This is so vintage. It screams the 80s and I like it a lot. Super neat

I can see how this'd be well liked and popular. Very easy to wear. Sweet, sweet, sweet, and I don't mean like sugar I mean like EVERYTHING ELSE out there. Nothing interesting and I am not intrigued. Though the whiffs I caught throughout my day (winter) of this were no doubt pleasant, it is not full bodied enough. No complexity or intrigue and for this price-point I expected *something*. An easy (and somewhat surprising) pass. ...Peace...

like a dumbass I fell for the bottle and listed notes hoping for apricot and incense but I got a mediocre creamy light vanilla with indistinct florals and maybe a touch of honey if you search for it; a basic pretty vanilla floral but not worth adding to my collection; but I do love the bottle! Nice but not amazing.

The scent gets better as it dries down, but isnt very complex. It's very heavy on the white floral and musk. You can faintly smell the honey but it's not strong enough to balance out the rest of the smell. It's so musky it's moving into unisex territory for me.

Just goes to show you that everyone’s body chemistry is different. I don’t see a truly negative review on here, so I guess it’s my turn. This one is mostly just sour and musky on me from beginning to end. Reminds me of a public bathroom smell being masked by cheap air freshener. So, not exactly pleasant. Most people also say it’s a fleeting beauty, but it’s been on my wrists from 9am to 6pm. I do agree though that the dry down is very quick and there is no sillage.

For me, there is nothing really interesting here. The notes seem interesting! But it's so very light and fleeting. Kind of powdery/fresh, basic floral. I love the bottle though and the concept behind the fragrance. I think someone who wants to smell clean and pretty in a really non-offensive way, this may work well for you. For me personally, it's not my style. 5/10

Reminds me of a typical white floral but has a weird coffee note that makes this smell like room temperature flat cola. Looking at the notes here it must be the incense note thats throwing this off. I'm a sucker for anything incense, but not this. This one falls unfortunately flat for me. This is not a wildfox but more like a sleeping mole.

This perfume is pleasant, but I find nothing special about it. To me it's a blend of Elie Saab L'eau Couture and Penhaligon's Ellenisia, but without the romance of the former or the bubbliness of the latter. It's their cheap little sister, and gives me a bit of a headache.

Promising opening; stale and indifferent drydown. Good thing there is no silage. This is not a scent to broadcast.

Today, I was in Nordstrom again and I decided to re-visit this one. I did try it the other day, but I also tried a few other scents so it didn't leave a lasting impression on me. Anyway, it is a pretty scent. Youthful. The opening notes are the most interesting part for me. I believe that I do get the absinthe note; as well as a good dose of honeysuckle, amber, vanilla, and honey. The trouble for me comes when it dries down. At that point; it does get very generic smelling on my skin, and becomes an ambery vanilla scent that I've smelled in so many other perfumes. Similar to Nicole Richie's original fragrance, if you ask me.. As for sillage and longevity, I left Nordstrom after I sprayed it (2 sprays). I then went to Target, and had no trouble smelling it. Back home 30 minutes after that; but by that point, it was a "stick my nose to my arm" kind of scent. My husband could smell it when he hugged me, and he did say that he liked it. However, I would still say that sillage is pretty poor on me after about 30 minutes. So, nice scent. However, generic. I would not expect to be paying $70-$90 for this, and I'm curious how well it does. My guess is that it will be in the discount stores fairly quickly.

I just got a sample of this from Nordstrom. It's funny, when I first sprayed it, I thought to myself, this smells familiar, like something at one of the cosmetics counters. Then I saw it's a collaboration with Elizabeth Arden and I guess that makes sense, because I loved visiting that counter when I was a kid ;) Anyway, this isn't a bad fragrance. It's a nice balance of warm musk, floral and something a bit juicy, guess the apricot. The jasmine and honeysuckle are pretty low key, and it does evoke incense a little bit, but maybe like a fruity incense scent as it's burning. There's something clean and soapy in there too. I agree with the previous reviews that the description doesn't seem to match the scent. It's also drying down really quickly and becoming sort of generic smelling. However, I will say that this would likely be a good "gift" perfume in that regard. I would pick up a bottle at a discount store but agree that full price maybe too pricey for what it is. Overall no complaints.

As the appointed fragrance junkie of my social circle, I get overly invested when a friend shows even the slightest interest in a perfume. A little over three years ago my roommate smelled Wildfox in a magazine and fell in love with it- she's a fan of honey and vintage florals but doesn't like to wear anything loud or, in my opinion, even detectable (I am a three sprays girl, she's a one-spray-in-the-air-and-walk-through-the-mist-girl) and despite never having heard of the brand before or since, we never forgot the perfume. Well fortune favors the patient, because two weeks ago I found a handful of bottles at TJMaxx at a deep discount and snagged one for her. Sniffing it now, the jasmine almost reminds me of the last traces of Alien two days after you put it on. It's pretty and warm and grown-up, the kind of perfume that says "I'm in my late 20s and I don't know what I'm doing but I kind of smell like I do"

I bought this the other day looking for a Jasmine scent. When the counter attendant sprayed it for me it smelled delicious. But honestly it wears off so fast I wouldn't bother buying it again. The scent is somewhere in the middle of Modern Muse mixed with Kai but then diluted. Smelling my wrist again 20 minutes after a dousing I now smell a soapy scent? I took it home and Frankensteined Wildfox with some Shanghai Musk + Amber essential oils in an attempt to add some pizazz and silage to it- seriously, Wildfox is the WEAKEST fragrance I've ever owned. If this is your first fragrance as a house wouldn't you want to at least make it memorable so everyone could catch a whiff? That was what made Flowerbomb such a success story, I'd walk around and men and women alike would ask me what I had on. But then again, it is your natural chemistry that makes a scent pop. Perhaps Wildfox doesn't work on me.

This fox isn't wild. She is gentle or a baby -- a little pink fox, haha. Clean and innocent in the floral musk family of Love's Baby Soft or Amazing Grace. The honey note can be perceived as Play-Doh, which I really like, so I will get a bottle, so cheap, like $20 for a 50ml bottle. I think there is a bit of pink pepper too. Not very strong for an EDP. I don't know the clothing line, but let me look it up. I think it would smell youthful and clean on a man too. The geometric bottle is cute. I will report back on the longevity once I have a sprayer and not a lame rollerball. Right now I keep smelling my hand. Why not spray a little on the outside of your mask? Lol. I would take this to the beach and spray it all over the hotel room.

i was given a sample of this in a giveaway....i was so excited! this was a case of thinking such a beautiful bottle MUST house an exquisite fragrance....it was a disappointment. there is nothing wrong with this scent-but i must admot i do smell aquatic notes-perhaps it is the wormwood-it is used to add flavor to certain liquors or alcohol's...from the notes listed i was expecting/hoping for something richer...more intense. it is a light floral-i wouldn't describe it as oriental-i didn't even catch a hint of the musk, incense or even amber-safe for the office or church. when this sample is gone-i won't miss it-or give it a second thought-and that makes me sad-because i was so excited when i first saw the bottle, and read the notes.

Tiny little sample vial that didn't have enough for a full proper skin wearing, so I dabbed the remains on a piece of tester paper. Initial impression is that I get the powder of Love's Baby Soft, with a hint of cold Alien jasmine, bound together by a very light, non-cloying honey. How peculiar, yet interesting... I don't get any incense on paper, which is a bit of a bummer. I'm tempted to seek a full bottle, just because it's so heavily discounted and I'm curious to see how it performs on skin, since the tester paper is intriguing to my nose. $34 for 100 mL definitely piques my interest, though...

I think this is a very warm and delicious perfume while also feeling sparkly and rich. I get a lot of apricot and honeysuckle. On my sample box it says there is chocolate in this but it's not listed in the notes above. Its creamy and sweet. After 10 minutes I can smell honeyed Jasmine and a dash of chocolate. Its addicting and beautiful drying down to a musky sweet scent. I've been deciding if it's worth purchasing. I really love the scent but longevity and sillage seem to be a problem. I couldn't smell it on myself after 20 minutes. And sillage was close to the skin.

I received a sample of Wildfox and was so excited because I'd heard such great things about the perfume. Not a fan. The opening was very pretty. A soft, yet sweet yumminess that was completely inviting. Within 20 minutes, that yummy goodness was gone and was replaced with soap. A cheap bar of soap that lingered forever! I tried it a few times thinking it was just me and my chemistry that day. Nope. Soap. Thankfully, my friend was willing to try it and I'm hoping that it smells better on her. Sorely disappointed, because the notes sounded so promising.
