Bois Barbare

Although overdone, I do enjoy the oud, saffron and rose combo. Sometimes the rose is just too much and throws a fragrance into the 'too perfumey' pile. Really impressed with Bois Barbare however. Having tried out 4 Wilgermains, this is my pick of the bunch for sure. It leans masculine for me with a little bit of darkness, smoke and spice. Definitely suitable for unisex though, I just mean it isn't stereotypically in the more 'perfumey' zone. The label colour is very fitting for how I picture the scent colour in my mind. It has some character, bit of power to it, and it's one I can wear with confidence even as someone who isn't extroverted or oozing confidence. It is a little different to conventional fragrances most people are wearing right now, but not so leftfield that it makes me a tad paranoid or overly conscious that people will be wondering what the hell the smell is. It just feels pretty solid and a little interesting. Well done.

IT IS ONE OF THE OUD, ROSE AND SAFFRON TRIFECTA FRAGRANCE, BUT DONE MORE BALSAMIC. I can say that this fragrance opens like Opulent Oud by Lattafa, but with a balsamic undertone, so it is very similar with Opulent oud, but once it dries down the difference is notisable. The Oud comes across similar to the Oud in More than words by Xerjoff. More than words by Xerjoff is a better choice simply because it comes across a bit fruity too. This fragrance as a composition is wonderful for the winter days and it is not very smoky and the most noticeable note is the saffron along with the balsam and guaiac wood. Important to note is that the note of papyrus, saffron, rose and balsam give the eucalyptus effect, bit spicy but also chilly.
