Moko

I received it from a friend and didn't like it that much at the beginning. After using it a couple times i started falling in love with it. It has a unique aquatic and freshness smell with a hint of earthiness and woody notes to it. The smell reminds me a bit of a rainy day in the spring and wet soil. My rating: - Projection 8/10 (Can smell it on a person around 4-6 feet away, the first couple of hours) - Smell 9/10 (Smells unique for an aquatic perfume) - longevity 8/10 (Lasts around 8 hours on my skin) - Price 8/10 (£108.33 for 50 ml where i live) Overall: 8.25/10

A photorealistic scent that paints the vision of wet soil and woods then on the dry down it gets more fruity with the notes of figs and raspberry. This is a mariner’s scent truly but with slightly green notes, also the salicylic acid is surprisingly apparent in it which is why it could give you “toilet cleaner” scent, it’s a scent that needs to grow on you to enjoy it and let it dry down. Performance is fantastic surprisingly for a “summer” scent and it’s definitely on the heavier side because of the 25% Extrait.

Smells similar to Maison Margiela When The Rain Stops, but I would say Moko is more unisex. It's less flowery, with a hint of fruitiness. Both me and my mom love this fragrance!

Opens strong with an aquatic sensation with a fig tree, akigalawood bias, in that order of intensity, though no raspberry personally for me noticed here. I regularly use salicylic acid as part of my routine, though it’s scented; you can make that sort of association here. If not familiar with it, think of it as calone but a bit more clinically sharp, but significantly mellowed out (though pure salicylic acid is odorless, it’s more of a fantasy interpretation from off the shelves). It’s made a bit more green and soapy by the lily of the valley facet, and the s.a. is uplifted a bit more aquatically by the mild oakmoss. The profile is grounded also with a faint woodsy bias, to give it some sort of character. It’s a bit different than something you’d find in Kenzo Homme, potentially less powdery than Kenzo from experience, but if you have KH I feel like this is a bit of a redundant purchase. On the flip side if you don’t like the powderiness from the fig tree, then this is a good option for a similar profile. Personally, not really FBW for me, but still an interesting marine composition.

Smells like "static electricity", kind of metalic. Not a blind buy
