Veles

I have bought the sample set together with bottle of Wisent - and regret it a bit, because if i knew Veles before, i would have bought veles. Well, right now i just have to buy both (Wisent is also awesome!). It is rough. It is not "nice". It is harsh, not smoky but straight burnt. The first impression was deeply intriguing - i did not know what to think of it. I did not get sweetnes from honey/ rubarb at all. After a while it opened into deep oud/amber note, kind of reminded me how Black Afghano evolves, and then i decided - i want this. This is not a mainstream scent, some people (most?) will not like it. Well, this is officially their problem from now on - i like this just too much. This is what a fireman going out of a drogerie fire would smell like. There were casualties in that fire.

Very nice oud fragrance. This has a smooth metallic saffron smell that is dark and animalic to me. It is well balanced with the smoke and oud. Strong fragrance that could easily become over powering.

This perfume has an interesting masculine smell. It smells primarily leathery and like smokey wood. It reminds me of the George Hotel at Texas A&M University. If you've been there, you know what I'm talking about. Its mixed reviews are indeed valid--irl, I like it, but one of my family members hates it with a passion. My only criticism is that the smell is INCREDIBLY strong. One spritz is like a punch to the nose. Other than that, I like it.

I agree with the comparisons others have made to Black Afgano. This has a very primal oud smell. There is also smoke from the birch tar, and something slightly medicinal or mineralic. It's not as sweet as Black Afgano, and it's bordering on savory. I wouldn't say it smells like Zoologist T-Rex, but it gives me a similar pre-historic earthy vibe.

Birch tar is all I smell. It stinks so bad 😞

havent tried on skin, but the testing paper after a day smells exactly like Cuioum and Black Afghano. Not very original.

smells like your bbq pit after you got done smoking some ribs for 6 hours. This one's a scrubber

Really smokey opening that turns later into a sweet smell. The opening was too much for me tho
