Wolf

Definitely the "easiest" of the house I've explored so far. Wolf is pretty much as you'd expect it to be. It represents the spirit of the wolf, the wild, untouched northern boreal forest. It's piney, herbal, very aromatic and clean. I don't find the musky funk I get from the rest of Wolf Brothers's offerings. In that fashion, I'm slightly disappointed but on the other hand, Wolf is very wearable, you won't offend anyone with this. I do get the comparisons to Sauvage here, especially Eau Forte's more herbal take on the Sauvage DNA. I also immediately went to Imaginary Authors' Cape Heartache for its sharp wood/conifer note. If you like intensely woody fragrances, this is one to check out. It's very natural smelling to me but at the same time, very cologne-y because of that wood dominance. Longevity is not the best on me, but I think that's because there's less musk here, my skin tends to make musky/animalic fragrances bright and really stand out but here there's more of a woody take. Looking at the rating, that's probably my skin at work, so your mileage may vary. This is definitely more of a cool weather scent, so early Spring, Fall and Winter. Probably a good starting point for the house if you're new to Wolf Brothers.

This is the first fragrance I bought with my own money, and I find it kind of funny how my first niche fragrance was the most basic out of the bunch. It is not a bad thing per se, but I was too unexperienced to truly like the 2 other scents that I tested. Starts off in a really warm fresh way, with spiciness coming from the red pepper. About 50 minutes in I start getting the woodiness; some would compare it to Dior Sauvage looking at accords alone, but this is not the case at all. The dry down is the most unique part of this fragrance. You smell an aromatic leather in combination to the earthiness coming from the oak moss & tonka bean; not a combo you see a lot. I can always detect the amber but it never really did much other than faintly boost the aforementioned warm scent at the start. Do not expect much performance or projection wise from this, as it's moderate in both aspects. This has been my signature for a few months now, and a handful of people know me by it, so I've been contemplating getting a 2nd bottle if this one runs out.

This scent is like a fairytale. The big bad wolf decided to visit grandma during Christmas because that is what I get from Wolf. Animalistic musk and fur mixed with sweet Christmas treats. The opening is a very spicy and sweet opening of cardamom with pepper and as it starts to dry it you will notice more of the woody and green notes. It kind of reminds me of Lune Feline by Atelier, but more rounded and less in your face. Which kind of goes against the marketing. Unfortunately it had quite weak performance on my skin and with 4 sprays it had lost pretty much all projection and sillage after 1 1/2 hours. Your milage may vary. In the end, this is very wearable and would work in both an office setting as well as a casual setting. Not quite sexy enough for a romantic date or a club. For the price I would have expected better performance.

wolf is one of the more timid in the wolf brothers' lineup. for me it first struck as very piney, then moved into a gentle spice. on the piece of paper i tested it on, it dried down into a very earthy, very realistic soil smell (which i was very into), while on my skin, it remained spicy, slowly fading from there. very pleasant if a little weak (i applied on my wrists and neck + a few miscellaneous spritzes and couldn't really smell it on myself going out, although i was wearing 2 layers of clothing so?), not my fav, but i can see why others like it. i'll definitely be finishing off my little sample bottle

Wolf seems to be the most "socially acceptable" out of all WB series. It doesn't seem very special to me, but it can be a good thing for most people. It's subtle, pleasant and suitable for any social situation. Not very strong. Ok for anyone to wear. I feel red pepper and something fresh. Kind of spicy. First impression was - it smells like a clean older man. All in all it can be great for most people, but not quite what I expected after wearing Goat for a day.

This is much less out there than the other Wolf Brothers fragrances I've tried. It's a much cleaner fragrance that sits close to the skin, and more cologne-y . That said, it's still very pleasant. Fresh in an outdoorsy way, with a gentle musk coming through in the drydown. I have a feeling I would like this a lot more if I hadn't gone into it expecting - well - Wolf Brothers.

Wolf is pretty much a generic spicy-woody scent without any animalic accord, despite the name. It smells like a much weaker Spicebomb Infrared EdP - that is, it has the thin crust pizza vibe like Infrared, but much weaker. From that perspective, Wolf is more acceptable to me since the pizza smell isn't as overwhelming as with Infrared. That said, Wolf isn't really a standout fragrance for me. Seems rather generic overall. Longevity and projection were only moderate.

Interesting, but nothing too special so far. I may need some more time to really figure this parfum out. I definitely get the red pepper and plum. Currently, Goat is still my favorite

for $200 this is a waste of money. weak projection. basic scent profile. nothing about this is good. really seems like a scam to be honest. you can get fragrances that cost $35 that are better than this

Wolf from Wolf Brothers is a mystical fragrance that is hard to fathom. It is a forest scent with a cool, dark personality, and hints of wild herbs and smoke. Beyond that it's hard to describe. 🌲🌲🌲 I get two associations when I smell Wolf. Both of them is about something blurry. The first one is a picture of a forest at night. The way the dark erases all details. How the moon enhances a few elements. They stand out like pale, ghostly versions of themselves. 🌲🌙🌲 The other is about how intensified, forward movement makes the surroundings dissolve. I see wolves running in a pack through a grey, misty forest. Their insticts and goal are in focus, everything else becomes a pale watercolour painting without distinct shapes or colours. 🌲🍃🌲🍃 This is Wolf. A swift movement through a forest, dissolving in night and misty moonlight. It feels like a dark fairytale signed by the brothers Grimm. 🌌🌠🌌 Longevity is great. I get around 10 hours out of this. Sillage is pretty strong as well.

This dries down to be super similar to Sauvage (I think the EDP, most specifically) but the opening is definitely a lot more interesting than that - the foresty, woody aspects and the red pepper are all pretty apparent. Longevity isn't bad at all - unfortunately there isn't much projection to speak of at any point in its lifespan. As loud as Sauvage can be this might be a nice alternative for someone.

Leather, pink pepper and sweet tomatoes. That's all my sinus infection lets me sniff out at the moment but it's the most wearable of the bunch. A bit of that Memo Italian Leather vibe in here.
