Gold Seduction

What a lovely little find in a perfectly beautiful bottle! Obviously the perfumer paid much attention to the appearance of the product as well as to the juice inside the bottle, a total olfactory experience if you want to give yet another floral fruity gourmand a try. This perfume is well blended. At first spritz, you get those fruit notes which hold the tone while moving into the white floral heart. Another thing is "Gold Seduction" is spicy and I love that. After some time you get the base notes but by then you still get a bit of each tier and that is why I consider this an accord. And I agree with other Fragranticians that this smells like "Black Opium" by YSL...b....u...t, ONLY on the dry down. "Gold Seduction" is definitely fruitier and spicier whilst "Black Opium" is a sweeter and more linear coffee note, like a hot frothy cafe au latte. Now I'm not saying "Gold Seduction" does not smell similar, what I am noting is there are still subtle differences between the two. I've been eyeing "Gold Seduction" for quite a while, its pretty smell and packaging and because my sister and I noted it had a similarity to "Black Opium" Well she acquired "Gold Seduction" as a gift from her daughter's grandmother. Her tastes changed and the week after Christmas 2019, I was the owner of a new brand bottle of "Gold Seduction." I guess the perfume genie was listening! I have nothing negative to say about this fragrance, the longevity is good as well as the sillage, I smelled this on my skin the day after as a skin scent. If you are looking for something that reminds you of "Black Opium" without the linear sweetness give this a try. It's appropriate for the night as well as daywear. Fruit notes are not acrid or sour but blend in well with the rest of the fragrance. Certainly not cheap smelling or looking in any way! Very feminine and comfortable to wear. I'm glad I got it.

I am quiet picky about fragrances but this is such a pretty perfume in such a pretty bottle! I got this as a gift and gosh I love this. I keep smelling myself cuz it's such a comforting and pretty fragrance. The accords blend so well together it's so captivating. If you love vanilla you will LOVE the dry down of this, it's a little sweet but never cloying. Perfect for winter and fall. Also very cheap for it's scent. This is great as a gift. Would recommend %100!!

This was love at first sniff!!! I bought it blindly some weeks ago, because of the notes, and they are perfect blended. I have smelled Black Opium some years ago, and I thought it smelled absolutely wonderful, so, it's a great compliment if this perfume smells anything like it... Meanwhile, I can cope with this little beauty, and I will be happy ever after!

Gold Seduction was launched in 2018 as an extension of the Intimate Collection of lingerie. Although it brings the same visual identity as the Eaux de Toilette line, this fragrance was created in Eau de Parfum concentration. In fact, Gold Seduction is not a flanker and is more like a new pillar, called Seduction, since a new fragrance is on the way to the shelves and is called Rose Seduction. Perhaps, this is the only commercial flaw I see in this perfume, which could have been named Intimate Gold, followed by the new Intimate Rose and so on. In my opinion, it would make more sense as an extension of a company's line and still avoid possible confusion with the Seduction fragrances from Antonio Banderas. The fragrance of Gold Seduction Eau de Parfum was inspired by the sophistication and luster of gold and has notes of raspberry, bergamot, lemon and mandarin on top; Peach, jasmine and white flowers, in the body; Patchouli, cashmeran, vanilla, cedar, and musk, in the base. When it touches the skin, the first thing that comes to mind is: "oh no, another perfume inspired by La Vie Est Belle". There is no way of denying the similarity! However, in a matter of seconds, the fragrance gains new push and shows itself fruitier, with a beautiful mix of mandarin and raspberry. The evolution of Gold Seduction is fast and the notes of peach and jasmine reach the front as if they are fighting for attention. And this impasse lasts for a while until the fruity output fades and the floral side remains, making room for a more sensual base. So, vanilla and cashmeran create a sensual and smooth accord, which adds an extra touch of sweetness (and personality) because of patchouli. From this point on, the fragrance behaves more like a floral-oriental, although it is classified as floral-fruity-gourmand by the manufacturer. Citing an olfactory reference, it is true that Gold Seduction has similarities with Black Opium EDP (YSL), but if applied side by side, it is not very difficult to notice the main differences. Anyway, for those who like the latter, but feel sorry for wearing it frequently, here is an affordable and beautiful alternative in several aspects. Gold Seduction tends to tire the nose and seems to disappear, but be careful when thinking about reapplying, as the fragrance lasts reasonably, especially if it reaches parts of the clothes. However, it leaves a little to be desired for those who expect greater performance from an Eau de Parfum. To finish, the visual pattern was kept (as mentioned before), but metallic details that resemble powdered gold were introduced in the lid, in the juice, and in the box. The ribbon is also golden and gives a complete bow around the "neck". And it is worth leaving a compliment for the spray, which produces a soft cloud. For the price that is charged in the most trusted stores in Brazil, this perfume is a great option for those with little money, who don't give up the beauty and do not like what is created by national brands.

This is YSL Black Opium with the tiiiiniest bit of Lancôme La Vie Est Belle sweetness instead of the coffee note. It’s very cheap where I live, I got a 30 ml for 100SEK/8 USD and that’s why I tried it. I’ve never owned Black Opium but since everyone and their mother wears it I know it very well and can honestly “smell” it by just thinking about it 🥲 I sprayed a sample of BO on my left arm and GS on my right. They’re very similar but GS has a teeny tiny bit of LVEB in it too. The silage and longevity is okay for the price, I have gotten compliments while wearing it and people asking if it’s BO. Be aware it has gold glitters in it so if you don’t want to have a bit of sparkle you should skip this, even though I would say it’s quite subtle.
